Warming UP Wednesday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Warming UP Wednesday

Postby Colliemom » Wed Aug 03, 2016 6:50 am

Good Morning,

Not much in the breakfast fixings this morning here. I had an Adtkins bar, soon to be followed by a bowl of strawberries. Weather is warming up, into mid 80's again and humidity picking up. Supposed to last till Saturday and then back to more normal again. So will putter inside. Heading to Farmers market this morning.

Neighbor installed new storm door on side door of house, so that's done. I also painted the window boxes on front of house. Have trailer plugged in and battery charging. So things are just rolling along here. Was so nice seeing so many posts on Monday. Enjoyed reading them. Peggy, surprised to hear your news, but glad you found it out before something really happened. I I know you will come through it all just fine. Will be thinking of you and sending prayers your way.

Time to head for the shower and get this day moving. Have a great one everybody :D

Another beautiful day in MN and the forecast looks good. 3 days of work left, Sunday my grandson & I head out to Minocqua WI for a week of camping. Reserved a campsite yesterday, not the type of camp I usually go to, but one he will like. I am sure there will be other kids there, so maybe he can make a new friend or two while there. But we have a lot planned, fishing, biking, hiking, boating and of course checking out the little towns and their activities. Looking forward to spending time with him and having some fun.

Hope everyone enjoys your day in whatever you are doing, and safe travels to those on the road.

Keystone will hit the low 90's today - but I slept with my windows open last night and will be able to again today. I have no problem with these warm days when I can do that! Plus it'll only be low 70's for a high tomorrow.

Just hit a wrong button and lost a paragraph, lol. That doesn't happen when I type (usually) on my phone ... is a computer problem. Oh well.

I think Sturgis will be a bust this year. OK, so last year was the 75th, but I'm only hoping we can have a year like the previous one. Don't see it happening. I want this busy week plus - I look forward to it. Then I look forward to it being over :)

Have a great day everyone.

I'm late here this morning! I decided I really needed to go out front and tackle the weeds in the flower beds before it got hot. The yard is brown but the weeds are nice and green! So now I'm taking a little break to cool off!

Sounds like everyone is busy with either work or travel. Alice, hope you have a good first day back! We'll all be counting down the days with you! Peggy, sorry to hear about you surgery but glad they found it before something really bad happened. Missed you at Carolb's but maybe next summer. I, like Anita enjoyed Carol's yard as did the pups but didn't take pictures either! She generously shared some of the bounty and I enjoyed the fresh goodies! The beets were the best! Martha, I was on I-80 the other day when the sky opened up, it rained really hard for a few miles and then just quit. Like turning off the shower in the house! With blue skies and sun! Sure was crazy! Beth, hope you have a busy week but not to busy! Busy always makes the time fly!

Well, not much else from here. Same thing, different day. SIL's movers come on Friday and they plan on leaving Saturday for MA. As I've said before, it's bittersweet. Another chapter in my life closing but hope good things come of it. Have a good day and travel safe.

It's a scorcher out there today!! Mid 90's and horrible humidity! Luckily will be cooling off nicely for the weekend, altho I will be working all weekend. :(

I am checking out yet another place to rent. It is a horse farm just west of me. The rent isn't too much less than what I am paying now but it is a nice large house and I would get the whole basement (walkout with large windows) and no dogs to contend with (separate entrance and closed off from the upstairs). Would get to play with horses all the time too! My landlord just raised my rent here a bit too so really need to find something soon!

My dad finally discovered that I took that $10K and he is really mad! I wrote him a letter yesterday explaining why I took it and why he needs to quit dealing with these scammers once and for all. I am not expecting that he will tho.

Hope you are all doing well today and staying cool!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

I went to get the van serviced today. Two days in a row at the Ford dealer, maybe I can get a job over there. I went off and left my cell phone on my desk again. Talk about a lost goose. The only phone numbers I know are my own and the house phone. It's a good thing I didn't have trouble on the road. I carry a small address book in my purse but no ones cell phone number is in there.

I almost forgot I have a club meeting tonight so back to town in a little while. Harold thinks I have too much of a social life. If he can't see me he thinks I'm out socializing. I might have to get one of the drive-thru margaritas. The meeting is at the Farm Bureau office so guess we will have pizza. I had thought about making a cake to take but I'm too busy running the roads. Tomorrow I have to go get the front end aligned on the van.
