Sunday and here's Sue

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Good Morning out there,

See I'm being missed. Well, I'm still here, just been busy. I've been sleeping in later than normal these last few days and being a morning person, made breakfast, got dressed and off to my chores I wanted to get done. So haven't been on as if I need to tell you.

Been an interesting few days too. Finished realigning and installing some fencing, dropped the post driver on my foot, so now all swollen and black and blue. No pain though, can wriggle it, so think it's not broken. Not much can be done anyway. Then, had issues with wasps under corner of deck, so called pest control out. Water faucet on back of house would'nt shut off, so had to have that replaced . All gone. On the fun side, went to Camping World yesterday and didn't spend a cent. Then visited with friends for awhile. Brain is starting to think RV mode now. Have reservations made for first weekend in Aug. for U.P. Toying around that Grant River park that Cheryl is going to in Oct., but I'm looking at Sept. As Oct. too late for us northerners. Eileen also sent info o n Pokagon State Park in northern IN, possible GTG site as well.

Miss Mermaid, you sound like you have found your piece of Heaven. O'Sharon, hope you get your GTG with Carolb. Alice, was thinking the other day, with your bus driving skills, maybe you could deliver RV's for manufactures or dealers who need them taken someplace and see the country as well. See the country and make a little e trap green on the side.

Well, need to go pick up Sunday paper and rain moving in too. So best get moving here. Y'all have a great day.

Pouring down rain with thunder & lightning here. But, we really need the rain, so we'll just stay in & hang pictures; the last thing to do from our move. And, with the RV ordered, it's hard to wait! Just wanna get going after planning for 2+ years. Lots of things to buy to get it ready to go, but I did find cookware: just 3 pieces with lids, at a yard sale for $15. Same Farberware as I've used at home for nearly 40 years, and it scoured up nicely. Looking forward to GTGs down the road, hard to commit until the RV is in hand.
Stay safe, all of you on the road, & happy travel dreams to the rest of you!

Good morning ladies
Well, I'm beginning to see empty space, Carolb, wouldn't believe it! Pretty soon the shed will be full of empty tubs and plastic drawers.
I know I have possibilities for part time work after retirement, maybe even drive a shuttle bus somewhere, or do the part time thing they have to offer at the school district.
Need to go to Walmart and buy some new bra's, every single one of mine are shot!
So off I go so I can get back before the heat wave of the day. Y'all have a great day, be safe

Gmorning all :)

Sue, welcome back, & sorry, I didn't mean to put pressure on you  I've been the same about sleeping a little later & then wanting to get right to my chores rather than sitting down to my computer! Many of you will be surprised to know I've actualy been staying awake til 9-10 pm!

Alice, I'm very impressed already, & hopefully I'll be there before Feb to see the fruit of all your labor:) Donna & Eileen, so exciting to be waiting on your new RVs!

My excitement is waiting for forum family guests!! Finding much to spiff up around here, since my house suffers in summer whilst I'm obsessed with my yard. And then I go & buy a bunch of "recycle" plants, as I call them--bedding plants practically dying in their little containers are all on sale now. All they need is some growing room & a lot of TLC, & they're good for the rest of the summer. Hoping my visitors will enjoy all my pretty flowers :D

Rambling...off to some busy work! Y'all have a great day & be safe always 8-)

Morning! We finally got some rain! An inch and a half. Guess we had a bit of a storm and I slept through it. Thankfully no hail (that we know of yet) on any of the crops. Now we're supposed to be in for a heat wave for the next week or so. The lake where we're taking our girl's trip the last week in July was hit pretty hard last night. According to the news several cabins and docks sustained heavy damage and campers in the state campground were blown over. Hopefully the cabin we're staying in is alright. But the owner has it rented out through mid-September so I imagine if there is any damage he will do anything possible to get it fixed so he doesn't lose the rental income. I need to that get-a-way!

Bronc went to the rodeo last night...think the pictures attached say it all. He's growing up to darn fast! Getting pretty foxy too. He was here overnight on Friday. He is doing great with his potty training but can certainly use it to his advantage! Every time I told him he had to do something he wasn't too excited about such pick up your toys or it's time for bed his response would be "I have to pee!"

Have a good day! So many of you are busy with recent moves, buying or in the process of buying RV's or getting ready to retire! It makes for interesting reading!

Nice, bright, breezy, sunny day today! Had some storms roll thru last night just before the fireworks were set to go off so those got cancelled. Looking at the radar, we once again got missed by the worst of it. South of me got hit with really bad storms with torrential rains and high winds (probably what came thru from South Dakota earlier in the day). We were just on the edge of it and got a few rumbles of thunder and a little rain off and on all night. Got pretty windy overnight too but not too many branches on the ground and my kayak is where I left it!

Off to my brother's house in awhile for his retirement party. He is 69 so it's about time! I sure hope I don't have to wait that long!

Need to make phone calls tomorrow to Adult Protection and the phone company about my dad but I work from 8:30 to 5, so will be hard to find time to make those calls. Want to call AP lady about what I should do about that $12K before my dad sends it off to Jamaica.

Donna, I hope you aren't downsizing too much! How are things going with your dad?

Ava, a tour bus sounds like a fun job! Good luck on your RV hunt!

Have a good day! :D

Mornin' ladies ~~~
Don't know about anyone else, but sure would love to see your flowers Carol. Sounds beautiful.

And perfectly perfect description of Bronc Pat, he definitely is looking like a little foxy dude. Beware little cowgirls!

Pat, Bronc is definitely growing too fast - always love to see photos!

Sue and Carolb, if I could talk myself into doing chores when I get up instead of lingering over coffee......I just like my morning routine. Carolb, you up until 9-10!? :o Ava, when my daughter helped me clean out storage in Washington State, I loved seeing the stack of empty containers - progress! She's selling some of my things on e-bay and doing a good job.

I went to Longwood Gardens yesterday. Hot and humid. The gardens are beautiul with some very unusual exotic plants. Several fountains and a conservatory. Drive was about 2 hours each way, and it wasn't too bad as far as heat. However, lots of stop and go traffic in some areas - I just poured water on myself to cool off. Guess the SS wasn't happy because I got near home and had no clutch! Managed to force it into 4th and got home. Then it was 'Google' time. Went out this morning and it worked fine - just got too hot yesterday with all the stop and go I guess. I'm having the whole thing gone over next month before the cross country trips.

Enjoy the rest of your day!

Good Morning from "perfect weather day" southern Oregon. This is so highly unusual for this time of year 80's with a slight breeze I am loving it. Sat outside on my IPAD this morning with my coffee and it was just a great morning.

Trimmed a few bushes and checked on my tomato plants. They are huge and loaded with tomatoes but nothing ripe yet. Picked a couple of zucchini and will have them for dinner with my salmon and cod. I have lived here for 10 years but have never been home much so have never had a garden before in my raised beds. So my neighbor and I trade off watering and harvesting when one of us is out of town works out well. Retirement is GOOD I thought I might get bored but so far so good LOL

Had a great surprise this morning. Laura Maydahl (Azusa Teach) is in my area so we are having dinner tomorrow night, cant wait to meet another forum sister.

Lunch time for me here and a load of laundry to fold.

I got back from my camping trip a little while ago. It was hot but we had fun. There were 3 new ladies that camped with us. Some went kayaking and my sister and I fished for a while. Yesterday some went off to one of the casinos. I knew better than to go to the casino with my sister. The others came back but not my sister. About 11 last night I called her and she was still there. They lock the gates at the park so wanted to be sure she had the combination. I didn't want to have to wake someone up to bring me to let her in. She finally showed up at midnight. Like camping with a teenager. When we went to South Texas a few years ago she and another lady went off to play bingo and didn't get back until 2 in the morning. I thought about camping until tomorrow but I had enough of my sister so came home.

On the way Thursday I ran into a rain storm. I was on one of the back roads and there was no place to pull over and I could barely see. I had to stop at the first town and wait 30 minutes for it to stop. I think some water was thrown up into the engine and it didn't feel like it was running right. It was ok going fast but if I had to stop at a light it felt like it might die. It ran ok today. I hate to be on the road if I think I might have trouble. One of the women's engine belt broke about 5 miles from the park. She called a tow truck and had him tow her to her site. lol Some one said that's wanting to camp bad. Some nice men in the campground went to Auto Zone to get a belt and put it on. I hope she makes it home ok. Another lady came from Texas and her van broke down. She is 84 but that trouble didn't faze her. Someone in her family has a tow business so they came and got her yesterday. We are going to camp no matter what.

Annie must have missed me, she has been sitting in my lap since I got home.

It is all about priorities, Martha!

Found out that the fireworks got shot off an hour early last night just ahead of the storm. The storm hit just as the last fireworks went off and everyone ran for cover from the torrential rain, wind, and lightning! Glad I wasn't there!

Went to my brother's retirement party this afternoon. Was mostly his friends there but had some nice conversations and food. Got a splitting headache tho, so I went home and took a nap. Woke up 4 hours later! I think I may be a little dehydrated. Also been getting leg cramps lately too. Need to remember to drink more water!!

Hope you all had a good day!
