Mid Week Musings

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Mid Week Musings

G'Morning all,

Middle of week and all's well. Weather quite warm and muggy. Forms rolled through late yesterday, but kinda veered off here. Heavy rain for a few minutes though. Carolb, wound up beating you on yesterday by few minutes. We were probably typing at same time ;) see you are enjoying company and more coming.

Not much doing here with the weather like it is. Did finish assembling new table/chair set yesterday. One chair damaged in box, so store ordering new one. Got after some Wasps under step to front door. Not very many, so figured they were setting up shop. Been spraying for past week or so when I saw a couple. So backed off screws on boards with spray in one hand, drill in other. only saw a couple. Found old dried up nest under there. Sprayed whole area and will clean it out today and put boards back. Might hang up some pictures. Tomorrow we go back to cooler weather, so can work on remainder of fence project. Thinking RV time as well. Been a quiet summer on here. Guess either you are out on road traveling or staying home. No big GTG's planned either. Few suggestions, but about all. CArol, there's an RV place up here in Houghton Lake that does repairs like you need. Forgot about it. Coulda come north and stayed with me. But hey, pool and the grands beats anything else, right :)

Time to mosey along. Ash hair, start day. Hope it's a good one for everybody.

Gmorning Sue & all to follow:)

Ahhh, life is back in order with you opening Sue! Yes, it took me a while to write my msg yesterday since I was talking to Linda at the same time;) THANKS Beth! Lindamac is now on board:) And thanks OSharon for alerting me of Beth's PM.

Hot & HUMID today, yikes! Haven't heard about storms crossing the country except through our forum--I'm down to one tv station & haven't seen any news. Barbie, you mentioned tornadoes near you, so I hope all is well out your way.

Tigg has been on new med, & I saw an almost immediate improvement after 24 hrs! Oh how we fret for our babies, so I'm much relieved:)

Need to leave in a few minutes here. Oil change for HarBor this a.m. Hope y'all have a great day & be safe 8-)

Good morning to all. Sue, you make me tired with all your projects! :D I feel like I'm just spinning my wheels sometimes with all the stuff I want/need to do! But eventually it gets done!

Heritage Days open today here in town. Street a block up is closed off for the next several days. Major mess with traffic! And much more foot traffic by my house. Usually the dogs do pretty well with not barking but once in awhile they do bark! Keeps them alert and interrupts their naps!

I checked with Jim last night about my awning. Not panicking yet but need to know what we're going to do if the new one doesn't come in time for my leaving next week. I want to make sure he can take time to take old one off if necessary! I admit, I'm getting impatient! Sometimes I don't wait well!

LindaMac, glad to see you joining us. What a neat trip you have planned. Look forward to hearing about it! Liz, glad you're enjoying your time with your daughter. And Nan, I remember Donner Pass from when I was a kid. Chains in the winter! We went over the pass when we went from Sacramento to Boise to visit family.

So not much going to happen here today. I hve friends coming for dinner tomorrow so at some point I need to make gnoccis so they are ready. A major project! Very time consuming! So will wish you all a good day and travel safe!

Good morning ladies,
Well, I must say I'm getting awful tired of this waking up early thing, I'm not
getting the rest I need. I hate to tell ya I've been awake since 1:00 am!! Brought
in the last of 4 small containers and 2 suitcases of old papers from the shed. Will
sort through those later when I have the outside stuff done. Also going to the store in a little bit. Definitely going to buy something to help me sleep. I haven't even been
able to take naps, quite unusual for me.
Saw a little ground squirrel living in my back yard a few days ago, it is enjoying the
drip from the water faucet. I used to keep a bowl under it for the birds cause sometimes the irrigation canal is empty. Maggie discovered the little squirrel
yesterday and did NOT want to come back in. She was determined that little thing was
coming back out from under the shed. I actually had to go out and physically get
her, little stinker!
About that time to get to the store before it gets too people-ee ! Y'all have a great day, be safe and hoping you have good weather, mine sucks big time at 108.

Good Morning,

Carolb, guess I missed what Tigger's latest issue is, but glad meds are helping. Lyn, I saw your building on TV last night!! Alice, just too darn hot for you!! Wish I could get myself started early in the cool, but I'm too set in my ways! :)

Cloudy with predicted thunderstorms later. Hoping I can snag some washers and get laundry done. Spent yesterday in Harrisburg with the generator - $$$$$. :x They had the generator out and repaired - it worked. They put it back in and it didn't - starter solenoid. Now how did that happen?! Last time I had the waiting lounge to myself - this time it was talk TV and a weird man! At least it's done. :)

Lots of talk about Pokemon Go. My granddaughter with Crohn's got off the couch with it! Daughter is thrilled. I know the side effects from her meds are not great, but she pushes through with what she needs to do - school, music, art, chores - but excercise not so much. Yes, people are doing dumb things, but can't be much worse than texting while walking! I tried Pokemon Go and the phone will vibrate when you get near a 'catch' so you don't have to look at the screen the whole time.

Hope you all have a great day and safe travels!

Good morning! I have the next two days off. I start my 4 day work-weeks now. I am going to do some retail therapy today! Yesterday was a long day at work. Did 26 haircuts! At least I was on a split shift so got a nap in between! Still having pain in my shoulders and knee. Made good tips tho!

Yes, we had several tornadoes just west and north of me the other night. One was on the ground for over an hour and did a lot of damage but luckily only one person was injured. One person said they lost their mobile home and found a snowplow up in one of their trees!! Some places got up to 11 inches of rain! Lots of flooding! The storm moved into Wisconsin and did a lot of damage there too with one death. It was a very strong storm system! We barely got anything here, just a few rumbles of thunder.

Stores opening soon so need to head out! I need new work pants and shoes and some new shorts. Tomorrow the Jeep gets worked on. Have been putting aside my tips for those repairs. Hopefully, nothing big to be repaired other than the brakes which I know need work.

Have a good day! :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

All the excitement is over for now. Next big happening is ComicCon in a week or so. Today is my lunch with the WSI'S. Looked like I wrote ISIS...but no!!! That Pokemon thing is all over the news....I can't be bothered to figure it out.
Finished reading "All the Light We Cannot see". Very good. I have now read three (3) books about WW2 occupied France. One was a true story about am English woman spy who parachuted into France. The other two I had no idea what they were about prior to reading them.

Finished cooking breakfast for my crew--son's family camping next door. Pancakes and two kinds of bacon. Really thin and tall son has high cholesterol so he is not eating red meat, real eggs, or obviously, real bacon so had to cook turkey kind. Kids and I loved real bacon, however.
We are off to the Hatfield Marine Science Center in Newport, OR, in a bit. I was there before, and it is a great place and free!!

Got to run, so short post.
