Lazy Saturday in the U.P.

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Lazy Saturday in the U.P.

Happy Saturday all,

Lazy morning here. Slept in till 8:30 after a 5 a.m. wake up by Molly who just wanted to go outside and pace around. There are a lot of critters roaming around here in the night, so she probably head one. Now they have been pottied and are outside enjoying the morning. Getting babied by the other guests who happen to be outside, especially the girls from the one unit down here. This is out last day here, so they are enjoying it.

My dinner is in the slow cooker and I am going to pack up a couple of boxes of stuff I don't need anymore this morning and then we can spend rest of day enjoying it. Planning on taking the pups over to Van Riper State Park up the road here for a walk and see what the campers are doing. I have reservations there for August. Like that park.

Nice to see so many posts yesterday. Seems you are all well and busy. Summer going by way to fast. Enjoy what's left. Have a nice day and enjoy the holiday weekend, however you choose to spend it.

Happy Holiday week end, Saturday July 2nd !!!!

Postby Carolinagal » Sat Jul 02, 2016 8:48 am

Good Morning Everyone !!! Wherever or whatever you're doing !!! :D I know someone will squeeze in ahead of me here but maybe not and have to get the day started. I've arrived at my destination and for a holiday travel time, I had a great trip with very little traffic and drove through some gorgeous countryside. GPS, did a great job !!!

Not sure what is planned here for the week end, watching fireworks over the lake here is on the agenda, but that's all I know :D Looked like many checked in, Sue !! Yesterday's response was great. Beth, good for you speaking up for that poor dog!! I got so ticked reading it, hate its still with an owner like that. Those meet ups in Oregon area, hope you all had a good visit. Sue, have fun today, you leave there tomorrow ?? Don't remember all the comments but enjoyed seeing so many check in yesterday. Barbie, you are braver then I to meet up with a stranger off the net. But then I'm a few yrs older and not looking, just enjoy the sights :D I'm not dead yet  Take care, though and stay safe !!

Hope everyone has a nice holiday doing something fun !!! Enjoy !!
Please Stay Safe,
CArol

I would like to still be sleeping instead of being up for 3 hours. One of Harold's friends called on his cell phone at 6:00. He can't hear it even thought it's on the counter and he's in the kitchen but it wakes me up across the house.

CArol, we aren't meeting guys from the internet but ax murderers like Shiela's husband use to say. My son likes to remind me that I am doing what I wouldn't let him do.

I would like to do something but it's already 92. Last night they were saying the heat index could be 108 today. Think I'll stay in the air conditioning. I checked the web site for the local state park and they are completely full. I figured they would be.

Yes Martha, but we usually meet these possible ax-murders in a group, and there has to be some good ones there, wee different meeting one on one. Then hey maybe I'm just a scarcity cat   More power to a gal trying to meet a decent guy, I know there are some out there , somewhere !!

Good morning Everybody from beautiful sunny and cool CT. Rain last night watered the flowers and cleaned the air. Sue, happy to hear that every thing went well with your buying and selling houses and you are enjoying life with your pups. It is amazing to watch you and, Ava too, make your plans of action and carry through step by step.
I read all the check ins yesterday, but didn't get around to posting. A day late, but it still counts. Right? Enjoy today. Peggy

It's a wee bit hot here. I get up at 4am so that by 530am I have enough coffee poured down to wake up and go ride my bicycle in the cool of the day.

That means in the heat of the day, I go snooze!

My dog loves this new schedule. Well he loves the afternoon snooze, but not the 4am get up. He sleeps in until I go outside, then he yawns and goes with me. If all he has to do is ride in his basket in the bicycle, he can do that with eyes at half mast.

I posted some silly videos of him playing volleyball and soccer on my blog. He may be good for nothing, but he's GREAT for a laugh! :D

Really late today. We were at Lawson's Landing campground at Dillon Beach. No hookups, but for $45 a night they at least ought to have bathrooms with toilets instead of portapotties!! Also, very hard walk over the dunes to the beach--hot soft sand and no boardwalks, so a real struggle. Setting is gorgeous, but I don't think we will go back there. Also, we left this morning just in time. Long weekend families arrived late yesterday and the partying was noisy until 1:00 pm!! Boy, am I getting old and cranky.

It was great having my son and his wife and two kids staying with me, however. We really cluttered up the place, but I now have it all cleaned and put back together. On Thursday, we head north to Patrick's Point State Park and then Oregon and Washington, but we are taking both my motorhome and his trailer, so much more space.

Glad to hear from so many people. I have been following DearMissMermaids blog--very funny dog!
