I saw those colorful structures on my last trip to AZ and wondered what they were. Thanks for the info.

had to really look for the campfire...it was hidden on the next page not sure I've seen that
I'm not carless or truck less that is ...it finally sold! pretty bitter sweet...as I choose not to fix it no reason
to hold on to it but it has been a major part of my life for a long time...and I also didn't get what I was hoping
to... oh well guess it's better than just letting it rot away right??? and the timing wasn't good either...the day
after the anniversary of my husbands death...had two people looking at it when all the time it's been up for sale
no one nada not a soul...
now some time in the next couple months will start the process of looking for a replacement...hope that comes easy

Hugs, Sheila. Bittersweet. Good luck on finding the right truck at a good price.

sitting here with my foot propped up wearing a "boot" not fun at all!!!
did a stupid thing a few weeks ago and think this in the result..think mind you...
had used a small bucket to mop the kitchen floor sat it in the sink then a couple days later
I washed dishes so I put that bucket on the steps telling sell to remember to move it before
I went down the steps...hmmm did I? nope stepped in it managed to fall scrapping upper arm and getting
a bruise and as I headed up to the house though my foot hurts too..but it was a come and go so shrugged it off
then yesterday to celebrate eldest dd's b'day we went to Yellowstone walked around the Norris geyser basin and
about 25 ft from the street I felt a pop so stopped and thought what was that??? when I tried to put weight on my
foot couldn't so with dd propping me up we managed to get me to the car and then we headed to West Yellowstone MT..
no place open so on to Rexburg Id Insta care was open but the xray teck had already left so they advised me to go to
ER on to ER x-ray's showed either arthritis which he said was a weird spot to have it or a crack to proof which would need
a CT scan opted no to do more money so in a boot suppose to elevate it ect and keep to boot on for 6 weeks except when sleeping or
taking a bath...what fun NOT!!!

I'm very worried about the situation in Turkey/Istanbul now. My son's girlfriend is there with her family this summer -- and the middle of a military coup is not a good place to be! At least they are out of the city now, which is a bit safer. From this distance, there's not a thing I can do to help. I hate that! Scared to watch the news . . .

Yes, very scary Louise, but I heard this morning that the President is back & still in power, but it will probably take a long time for hostilities to be resolved.

Will keep & her family in my thoughts until their safe return.

It's pretty sad when you hear new alerts nowadays. I'm always saying 'not what?', 'what's wrong with people?'.

Louise, I don't blame you for being scared for the sons girl friend. The situation world wise is horrible! I do watch the news...I'm a news junkie. It is difficult to really understand what is going on. Who are the "good guys", who are the "bad guys". Of course, the bad ones are the ones who are actually doing the killing!!! Who is behind them? Where is the money coming from? The good guys must do something to stop this slaughter. lyn

Thank you for sympathy, everybody. That makes me feel calmer!

It's hard to think what to wish for in Turkey -- maybe that the clock could be turned back decades, to calmer times. A military coup is no kind of answer, but the current president has been in office for over a decade and is acting more and more like a dictator, so that's not a good answer either. Oh this world we live in! I'd just like them to be safe here in the States.

today we were driving and passed a flag at half mast one of my daughters said wonder if it's because of the France attack...another daughter said
they ought to leave the flag at half mast all the time except when there is a really good day...sad that the flag is at half mast more often than not...
hope your daughter and boy friend is safe

That is sad about the flag. So much turmoil and violence in the world right now.

Yesterday I had a post ready to go regarding my fears about my daughter, SIL, 3 grandkids and foster granddaughter who are traveling internationally for 3 weeks. The scary thing is I chose not to post it because in this world gone crazy, I didn't want the Internet to know where they are, where they're going, etc. I expressed my fears before they left, but of course they did not listen. It's so depressing and no one can say when or if ever this will all end. I just want them to get home safely. I fear for my grandchildren and the world we've brought them into.

Unfortunately, it isn't just other parts of the world. You can be anywhere in this country now and be in danger, including in your own home. The cousins whose daughter's wedding I attended last month left for Paris Friday. They are very experienced world travelers. Jan said they would not let fear defeat them, but they do plan to stay away from crowds. I remember years ago thinking about people in war zones and the anxiety. Seems we now live in a war zone in this country - it's just not a specific zone. Hope all the loved ones return safely with great memories!
