Tuesday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Tuesday

Good Morning! Can’t believe that I’m the first one here. No coffee this morning but I do have some iced tea and cranberry pecan bran muffins. Looks like we’re in for a bit of a cool off, it’s only supposed to get into the mid 80’s this morning. We’ve had some hellish hot weather. Saturday it was ungodly hot and humid. I had Bronc all day while Ryan, Ashley and DH were watering down cattle to keep them cooled off. They lost two steers because of the heat. My sister was here over the weekend too. It’s always nice to have her around. We spent a lot time on the patio with Bronc because I have a pool for him. He’s a little fish.

Must tell you that I am the proud owner of an Apple iphone 5S. Bought it almost locally. A custodian at the school where Ashley teaches has a little business where he repairs and sells cell phones. It is in excellent condition in fact it looks new. No scratches or dents on the case and he had installed a tempered glass screen on it. Unfortunately he could add the second grader to go with it! But I’m doing pretty good at figuring it out and last night Missy and Faye helped me some things.

Today I’m finally going to get a perm and haircut. I’m in desperate need of that. Tomorrow I’m heading out to help a friend sew 4th of July outfits for her grand-daughters. I’m taking my sewing machine too so we can do double duty.

Nothing else is new. Have a good day.

Good Morning!

Ah, Pat snuck in. Losing cattle to heat is not good. I often wonder how the cattle roaming in the AZ desert survive.

Where is everyone! I just opened the door to take the trash out; the heat and humidity hit so this will be an a/c inside day! Nothing like what some of you are experiencing though. I discovered last night a Mr. Clean Eraser will remove the sap from the new SS cover so had planned to finish that today - nope. Had a little rain earlier and may be getting more plus some wind.

Forced myself to make phone calls yesterday - not my favorite thing and I have many motel reservations to make for the cross country trip. I did make an appointment in Harrisburg, PA for the generator which is leaking oil. They have electric hookups which is great since they want me there at 7 a.m.!

Did a little research on some things to do in Cape May and historic Smithville near here.

Hope all are having a good day and safe travels!

Parked on a side street in Napa waiting for my dentist appointment about my broken tooth. First will be xrays and then this new dentist will let me know about the cap. One problem of being a full-timer is medical and dental problems. (That and getting good haircuts!

Anyway, have not seen my kids yet because I had to stay about 50 miles away because the EXPO campground here was full. Nice place in Rio Vista, however. Will have to go back there tonight and then move to Napa for about two weeks, for more doctor appts, of course!

Getting in just before noon here. Have the morning off so ran some errands, renewed my AAA membership, etc. Still have a lot to do but am off at 2pm tomorrow so hopefully will get everything done by tomorrow night.

We have cooled off nicely here! Low 80's, dry and breezy! Hope those down south can get thru their heat wave! Even Los Angeles is over 110* !
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

I'm running really late today. I would like one of those cranberry muffins. The direct tv quit working in my office last night so I called them this morning. I had to clean my office so they could get in here. I was planning on cleaning it anyway because my grandson will be here tomorrow and it was a mess in here.

Pat, good idea to buy local, you know where to find them. I bought my lap top from a local guy that did work for the company I worked for. Sorry to hear you all are losing cattle to the heat. I haven't kept up with the price of cattle since we don't have any but know that's a big loss.

The temperature has gone down to 89 this afternoon and it looks like it could rain. We got about a half an inch of rain last night. I went out several times to see if I could see the moon everyone was talking about but it was too cloudy.

Better get back to my sorting. I still have 2 stacks of papers to go through.
