Beautiful Sunday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Beautiful Sunday

Postby Othersharon » Sun Jun 19, 2016 8:44 am

Good morning all! It's going to be a hot, sunny day here today. I just got back from a few days up in Alleghany NF camping with Carolb. I had planned on following her back to her home but we unfortunately had a problem with my awning. Apparently I have a leak somewhere and the lower bracket pulled away from the body of the RV. We were closing it because of a storm moving in. So anyway, we used gorilla tape and a dog leash and I limped home. Decided it would be better since Jim could look at and fix for me. Only 80 some miles versus the distance from her place and chancing finding someone to fix it! We had some excitement the other morning. I was just getting my dogs out to go for a walk when Carol yelled my name and then bear! There was a smallish bear just wandering through the campsite right across from us! I all but threw the boys back in the RV and Carol did the same with hers as we watched the critter wander through the empty site next to us and head back in the woods! He wandered into the woods right behind us before he disappeared! Well, they do warn that this is bear country! Guess they know what they're talking about!

Hoping to finish the trip when Jim fixes the awning, Carol and I had all kinds of things to go see since I've never visited her neck of the woods. Been through there but never got to really stop and explore!

So with that! I need to get going and get some thing accomplished today. Hope everyone has a good day and travel safe!

Good morning! Sunny, windy and very hot and humid today! The wind will help make it more bearable. Gotta work all day again.

My plans to meet the guy from the dating site, fell thru but we will try to reschedule soon. I have a ton of things to do yet before my camping trip on Thursday! Hard to get things organized with working every single day. I am so exhausted from working so much lately! I am going to talk to my boss after my trip and maybe cut back to 4 eight-hour days from now on.

I sent my dad a Father's Day card. I hope he is doing OK. Not sure yet when my aunts funeral will be but I will probably miss it if it is the end of next week. I wasn't very close to her and it will be just a small service since there isn't much family left and most of her friends are already gone.
My mom will have been gone 9 years from this Wednesday. I still dream about her almost every night. We were very close!

Sue, have fun getting settled into your new home! Always fun getting things put away and decorating a new place!

OSharon, this time of year is family breakup for bears so the yearlings are out on their own and trying to establish their own territory now. So he was probably just passing thru.
Everyone else, stay cool, dry and safe on the roads!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Good morning ladies
Its already 93* and barely past 9:00. Its gonna be a record breaker today.
I've been to the store and back already, stocking up for the little boys
Bill is bringing in tonight. My car had a dead battery so I took the motor
home into town to get the chore done. Will need to check the water in the
batteries and put the charger on it. The batter is only a year old but this
dry desert is brutal to batteries.
The house duties are done and ready for company, today will be a kick
back day in front of the tv. However, I still need to wash my hair.
Y'all have a great day, be safe.

Still Morning here, I made it! Working today, cool here inside -- but very warm outside.
Was planning on trip with my Grandson Aug. 7 - 16th to MT. Rushmore, but found out Sturgis is during that time, so will have to think of somewhere else he might enjoy. Any ideas for Midwest travel with an 11 yr. old?

Went kayaking on the Snake River in MN yesterday, first time we have done that one. Lots of small rapids, but way to many rocks! Could have used about 6" more water and it would have been perfect.

Barbie where are you going camping Thursday?? Hope you have a wonderful time.

Hope everyone has a great day and if traveling be safe.

Good morning, It is a little cooler here, down to lower 90's from upper with high humidity. I cut my hair this morning and it feels so much better. The person who cuts its always does a great job but his time I think she was distracted or the phase of the moon was wrong. My hair has enough wave to it that it mostly hides any slip of the scissor I make.
Barbie, good luck with the online dating. I know several people who have used it and had very good results. Apparently you have to really filter through the responses but one of my friends, after about a year, found a perfect match. He lived across the country from her but she saw he was having trouble posting to his site so she offered to help. She said she never responded to someone that distance away but the help turn into emailing on the site, then emailing personal address, then phone calls. She ended up flying out to meet him and she never came back except to settle things back here and get her clothes! Love at first site is apparently real. It has been almost two years and they are very happy.
Ava you reminded me I need to drive Elsie and get the coach batteries charged. Thankfully they are the no maintenance ones. Maybe the weather is why my FitBit Zip batteries don't last long.

Oh my. I put the hammock up this morning. Then I thought I should try my weight in it. Then I slept two hours! Even in this heat, it is very nice under the trees in the hammock.

I am going up to Cross Lake MN just north of Lake Milacs and east of Brainerd. Altho, looking at the radar right now, there is a tornado warning in Brainerd heading straight east! Hope the campground doesn't get blown away! :o

I am bringing my hammock with and hoping there are some nice trees to hang it on! :D
