SPRING IN THE ADIRONDACKS TODAY!!

Postby Nasoosie » Thu Apr 16, 2009 10:51 am

Here is what I discovered this morning in my rock garden beside the house! The first signs of spring! I'll follow their progress as they open up in the sun and warmth.

Peekaboo!

Image

Here we are!

Image

I'm a lonley little white one!

Image

We shall be open by the end of the day, perhaps!

Here's how we look now, a couple of hours later in the day!

Image

My, but we are pretty!

Image

What a difference a couple of hours of sun can make!

Image

And I told you I would be beautiful!!

Is that from the Mikado, by Gilbert and Sullivan? I LOVE that opera---have it on 45s and should convert to MP3 now!

Dang , I see that you already told me it is INDEED from the Mikado! Sorry about that oversight!

those were great pictures Soos, and of course beautiful crocus, haven't seen a crocus
in years, hope you get to feeling better and don't let that cold settle in, I fought mine
and finally kicked it but the coughing was what made me throw out my back, its better
today too but being down for 6 days and now walking around makes me realize how
quickly one deteriorates when they lay around, my legs are so tired from my normal
routine!

Happy to hear your cough is better, Ava, and now hope your back heals quickly so you can get moving around again. I know just how fast one's body can deteriorate when movement isn't possible. Keep on doing whatever you can without jeopardizing your back.

Your photos are wonderful! Just getting to watch the flowers open was worth a day off for you and all of us.
Do hope you are feeling much better. Also glad to note you found your necklace - at least the important part of it.
