Stormy Tuesday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Stormy Tuesday

Gmorning all :)

Thinking of all of you in the southeast--Donna, Mickie & others. Hope y'all are battened down for possible hurricane, tropical storm or whatever nasty weather it is.

Sue, hard to believe you'll be moved/settled in just a short time. Seems like it's been forever since you made the decision to sell, & now it's done:) Alice, glad to hear the shake-down trip went well--definitely need ac for those puppers. HOT out west! Carol (Asmiraco?), Alice's suggestion sounds like a winner--head for the hills where it's cooler?

Had a reprieve from rain yesterday, so I threw out more flower seeds just because I had them. Rain started overnight again. A wet week here, followed by cooler temps--maybe only into the 50s by the wkend.

Yahoo! Didn't need new rotors, they were able to be turned. That, new pads, & a total check-up, right at $200! Thankful to get off the easy. Mechanic said HB is fit as a fiddle:)
I was thinking paint-job, but he said I'd be shocked at the cost. Okay, so will go with the "beat-up" look & find myself barred from those fancy RV parks--like I even go to any of those in the first place. I'm good enough for WM parking lots!

Y'all have a great day 8-)

Good morning all. Figured I'd pop in here this morning for a minute before I need to get a move on. Leaving in awhile to sit with the grandsons. They want to go to the pool this afternoon but by the looks of it it's probbaly not gonna happen. I think it'll be a stay in the house day. TWC says rain and possible thunder today. So we'll have to play that one by ear! I think I'm glad I'm here and not in FL or Las Vegas! Between the storm and the high temps this is nothing!

Wow, Sue, you'll be in your new house soon. Hope you got the fence situation worked out. And Shelia, hope you get the leak problem taken care of. That's got to be a bummer. I had a leak in the connection in my fresh water tank and DS was able to fix it, it was the connection between the tank and the drain. As it was said plumbing is plumbing.

Donna, last night I couldn't see your pic but tried again this morning and there it was! Interesting!

Well, I need to go jump in the shower and get the day going. Stay safe if you are on the road and if you in the path of this storm.

Good Morning all,

Thanks for starting the coffee this morning Carolb, I've been busy cleaning up the house as buyers and agent coming for a final walk through at 10. Our closing is postponed till Thursday as they had some glitches in their closing last week. TX title company didn't get their act together down there. So don't know yet when closing will be on the house I am buying.

Haven't heard back from fence company, so will do it myself. Heck with it. Alice, glad the shakedown trip went well. Now to get the repairs done. Wondering how the FL gals are doing? Well, better get off this thing, before they get here. Hope y'all have a good day and no big weather woes.

Morning everyone!

Driving home from work at 11:30 last night was interesting, very heavy rain and lots of lightening with spots of standing water on the road... I just stayed in the right lane and went a little slower while keeping my eyes peeled for flooded areas. Really glad to have the Subaru last night!

Sue, aren't contractor funny, you contact them about WORK which means MONEY and they just don't bother to get back to you.

No longer morning here so Good Afternoon! I finally got out of rain for a couple days! After getting wet in the SS a few times, I had some extra laundry - towels, jackets, etc. Got 4 loads done and the freezer defrosted. I'm in Mt. Airy, NC at a PA park for a couple of nights and will move on toward Cape May, NJ tomorrow for Saturday's wedding.

Carolb, you'll have to post photos of all the flowers! CArol, hoping they'll surprise you by getting the floor finished sooner rather than later. Also hoping for no serious leaks. Donna, I guess it's lucky I never had to deal with a stubborn parent. My dad was stubborn, but at least he was in an apartment building with others who watched out for him, could have his meals delivered, etc. Sue, I don't think I've ever had a house deal go smoothly with timelines.

PattyK posted on FB the other day. Said she is doing better than was expected and is getting around pretty well - some without the cane. Her CA son was flying to CO for a visit.

Stay safe wherever you are and keep an eye on the crazy weather!

On a split shift today. So nice out (sunny and 70 with light breeze) so decided to take the kayak out. First had to do some spider removal with the water hose. Hate to kill them but no other way to get them out of there and I sure don't want one crawling up my leg when I am out in the middle of the lake! Just went out for a short paddle but it was nice and I think my shoulder is fine with it. Need to order cross bars for my Jeep to put the kayak on for my camping trip.

Just had lunch and will be heading back to work shortly. Gonna get really hot and humid here on Friday and Saturday but Sunday is suppose to cool off nicely when I have the day off. May go to the local "Art on the Lake" art fair that day.

Had a nice visit with my daughter yesterday (posted a photo last night on MC thread). She is sure growing up fast!

We added to the family yesterday. My nephew and his wife had a little baby boy named Jack. Can't wait to see him!

Speaking of stubborn fathers...my dad has completely shut us out of his life now. I am sure the scammers have brainwashed him into doing that so they don't have to worry about us interfering with things. It is sad.

Hope everyone down south is safe and dry! Glad to hear PattyK is doing good yet.
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
