THURSDAY SICK DAY FOR ME

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

THURSDAY SICK DAY FOR ME

GOOD MORNING ALL YOU HAPPY CAMPERS!

I booked me a sick day today to try to get over this 'southern sickness' I caught on my way home. It sounds just like Ava's and Cedar's friend, Kath's-----sinus infection leading to bronchitis with a nasty cough that won't quit. However, I took two spiked-with-whiskey decaff coffees last night before bed, and didn't wake up until a quick trip to the bathroom about 3:00 and have been sleeping ever since again! I have accumulated tons of sick days, which I will never see any compensation for, so may as well use 'em when I need 'em. So nice to not have to get up by the alarm clock today!

Molly and Twitch are glad to have me home again today.

I suffer from asthma, and when I get a cold like this one, the breathing becomes very labored. I use Advair----inhaler with a mild steroid and something else ontwice a day to keep inflamation down in those little bronchioles, and another generic form of instant airway opening stuff when needed, as I do this morning after a good, long sleep. I hope things are better for you now. Don't you former smokers wish you had never smoked? I know I sure do. And living with chain smokers surely added horrifically to this affliction.

The temp is 18 again this morning, but predicted to get up to about 58 today! Seems like a good day to have off! I am considering putting my new alignment gadget on my hitch-----a thing that sort of guides your hitch to your ball when you're alone, give or take a couple of inches-----and trying to haul Bessie (I guess that's the name of my trailer, as I refer to it as that more often than not now) to its summer yard space here by the house so I can hook up my satelite TV, sort through the basement and eliminate (hopefully!) some stuff I never use, get down to just ONE tool kit for heavy duty stuff and ONE inside tool kit for light stuff, and get my bed made back up in there so I can move out of this house for the summer! Memory foam does NOT like below freezing temps, however! It turns to instant stone!

I hope you like the coffee I have going here....and later I will eat a frozen omelet with some turkey bacon for some energy to tackle the trailer chores. I will need to wash and polish it, too. What do I use on aluminum? All this depends on how I am feeling as the morning goes on.

I just went out with Molly, and discovered I now have crocuses! YIPPEE!!! Pictures later when the sun opens them up!

Have a nice thursday, y'all!

Happy travels!

Good Morning, Soos!

Sorry you're sick. But at least you're not TOO sick, you don't have to go to work, and it's going to be a nice day! I had to smile at your comment about wishing you had never smoked. I have been using that exact same phrase just in the last year...I am so sorry I ever smoked, and I don't have asthma! George (my husband) had open heart surgery 10 years ago, and he had quit smoking by that time at least 20 years. A tech was administering an ultra sound of G's heart and asked him how much he smoked. G said he had quit 20 years ago and the tech said that his heart was very badly scarred and he (the tech) thought from the looks of it tha the still smoked. Nasty, nasty habit! And it's sooooo expensive!!

Thanks for the coffee. I think I'll have another cup. For breakfast, I had a warm flour tortilla spread with homemade cooked pinto beans (no added fat), and slathered with low-fat sour cream and green salsa. Love that morning salsa/jalapeno kick, and starting the day out with all that fiber!! :o

Haven't checked the NW TN weather forecast yet this morning, but by the looks out the kitchen windows, it ain't pretty. Could someone please describe the sun to me? I've forgotten how it looks!

I'd love to get my little trailer in the driveway to work on, but the yard's too wet to drive on, and I sure as heck don't want to spend half a day backing it up the driveway. I suppose I really should practice that whole backing thing, shouldn't I? :)

I hope you all have a nice day!

Good Morning Soosie and Mitch and all our sisters!

Another great day with sunshine here,.... wish I could share some with you Mitch! Hope taking a day to just relax is what will help you beat that bronchitis Soos,... your long drive to FL and back must have tired you out to the point your resistence was low. Good luck!

I took the cover off the Chalet last evening! Oh, she looks so good with her roof and walls up! Today i'll power wash the house and 48' long flower box and then I can move her over near the house. First camping trip is three weeks from tomorrow to Newburgh, NY KOA to meet up with some friends from my a-frame group. Can't wait to roll!

Have a great day everyone!
