Good Morning,
Well, here we are, saying good bye to May already. Before we know it, we will be saying goodbye to summer too. It's been beautiful here the past few days. No humidity, pleasant temps, nice breeze and plenty of sun with some clouds mixed in. Perfect weather. The air smells of lilacs around here as a lot of us have them, plus the pine, spruce and whatever else if fragrent right now. Trees are leafed out and grass is green etc. My favorite time of year I think. That old saying, "what is so rare as a day in June" holds so true for right now, although won't be June till tomorrow.
Accomplished what I set out to do yesterday. Grass is cut, truck given a good cleaning inside, recycles gone, flowers up to the cemetary and walked around a bit looking at grave markers. I see they are starting to put markers on some of the older graves of those who were settlers here when this area was first settled in the 1880's after the Civil War. The first white women to set foot in this country is buried there as is her husband. Lots of history there. It will become my final resting place eventually too.
So today is off to store, bank and wherever else. Also need to call utility companies to arrange for service transfer in a couple of weeks. Probably do a little packing up too. My electrician is supposed to come and do the work on my electrical box. Said parts should be here tomorrow. Then that will be done. IL"m going to get back to packing as well. Made reservations for my favorite resort in the U.P. for late next month so will be a nice break. Then coming home and getting ready to head out with the trailer. Got to get in there and clean it and get things put where they belong, plus restock for summer. Sometime this week. thinking we need a fall GTG someplace, any ideas out there?
