Mandy cat surgery

Postby MandysMom » Wed May 25, 2016 3:06 am

Our little girl who had teeth cleaning and several extractions earlier this year let me know she had a sore mouth again. I found a ulcer like sore and today she had it biopsied. Poor baby she is not happy with her e collar, but she sure was happy to eat. Kept going back and grabbing another mouthful of dry food. She had been not eating well, for a few days. Just hoping and praying it was benign as the vet really was not sure and she is the feline specialist for our vet clinic. Meanwhile the cat and I and the e collar are sharing my bed! stormy girl is being a huge brat over Mandys smell and look with the collar. She has hissed, spit, and tried to swat poor Mandy several times. What a brat. This too shall pass but meanwhile we have to keep an eye on them. Thankfully Stormy is asleep by Mel.,

Stormy is probably thinking, don't you dare do that to me! Big hugs to Mandy and hopes that it's benign.

Thank you. Mandy looks good today. Mel took her e collar off for a while and she gave herself a thorough bath and not once did she paw her face so now she's snoozing in a patch of sunshine . Stormy is still having her hissy fits. Silly girl. She even hissed at Mel for stopping petting her and pulled his hand back with her paw. As he said, she's strange.
I'll be on edge until we get benign results we are hoping for. I have been under way too much stress lately.
We saw both Mel's cancer Drs between yesterday and today, both said all looks good so far and we are on watchful surveillance for foreseeable future. Praying he stays clear of cancer.
