Then on to the Ozarks in SE MO. Camped at the Big Springs State Park, not many people there - so very quiet and private. But the restrooms & showers were terrible.
We survived! Funny thing, campers just kitty korner from us were from Superior WI (both Kathy & I are from Superior) what a small world!! We kayaked 2 different rivers while there, did some hiking, sightseeing -- went up and down the hills and on back roads we weren't sure where they would end. Everything very spread out, so a lot more driving than we expected. We then went up to Mantauk St. Park at Blue Springs, it is wonderful! Our site was right on the Jack Forks river, beautiful. We kayaked the river for a couple days, and some hiking. Happy with my little TT, comfortable, everything worked well and my backing up was better this year than last. We did cancel the last leg of the trip as they had severe storm warnings out, we decided to give that a miss!We had no idea there were so many springs in MO, very pretty. We had a great time! I am counting the days till I am set free! (2 months 2.5 weeks)
