Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Week is moving right along, tomorrow is Friday and Cheryl will be heading out on her vacation on Saturday. Have fun Cheryl and a safe trip to southern IL.

Had a nice day for a drive yesterday and a nice lunch with Louise (HavingFunNow) as usual. She is certainly having fun. Got all kind of projects lined up to keep her busy and maybe a camping trip thrown in on the side. Busy lady she is.

O'Sharon, know all about that head bonking business. Seems I've been doing a lot of that lately and not on the camper. Ouch. Good thing we are hard headed  CArol, you are making progress slow but sure. Keep at it and before long you will start seeing results.
Lyn, glad you are enjoying your new TT. Hope we can meet up on the road one of these days. I"m waiting for mine to get done being serviced, dewinterized etc. at the dealer. Thought with the house business right now, I probably won't get out before July.Weather is now starting to get nice for it too. Finally.

I agree with some of you about the appliances not lasting as long as they used too. I've had good luck with my Amana refrigerator and my Maytage gas dryer. I sometimes think that they put so many features on the new things nowdays, that it's just more parts to go wrong. I just buy plain Jane models and they work just as good as the more fancy ones. I also prefer top loading washers to front loading for same reason. Repair person told me they have less issues than the front loaders.

Been wondering about Rosemary (GypsyRose) and how she made out with her TT on her trip last month. Know you are working, but how about a report when you get time. I'll be in the U.P. about the time you are supposed to finish working in August and hope you are planning to go to the WI GTG in August soon as we get the plans finalized.

Well, today is the day. Will be meeting with my agent to find out about my house inspection, if something needs to be addressed and if my buyers are still on board. A little nervous about it as hoping that if there is something to be addressed, it's not major. The inspection I had on the lake house and my subsequent walking away from the sale, has resulted in a wake up call for the home owner. There are roofers working over there now replacing the roof. Be interesting to see what else will get done if anything. But that's the biggest expense right there. So keep you fingers, toes and whatever else crossed for me today ladies.

Miss Piper is heading for a spa day today, so Molly will have me to herself for the day although I will be gone for awhile. Need to restock some food in this place. getting a little lean. I want to lose weight, but.......

Okay y'all. Hoping it's a nice day for everybody. Traveling, have fun and enjoy. Under the weather, will keep prayers going, getting ready to downsize and move, keeping fingers crossed for you too.

Good morning Sue and all who follow. Somebody turn off the faucet, please. More rain last night and it's been cats and dogs until just a few minutes ago. Thunder rumbling in the distance, so both dogs are back on the bed with me (I post and read and drink morning coffee in bed, don't you?). Oops, there it goes again. Not a thing new going on. Still haven't found a carpenter to replace fascia boards on front porch and back corner of house. Everyone is busy with hail repair and new construction. One guy asked me to call back on Monday, so I guess that's the next step. At least the temps have been lower this week. I don't mind that at all.

Hmmm....not a thing to say. I renewed my library card. That's about as exciting as life gets lately.

Gypsy, I enjoyed reading about your trip. Sounds like you saw some beautiful country.

Good morning everybody... not much going on around here either it's too hot to do anything I try to do a few things in the early morning but when evening comes and it's cooler I'm too tired can't win... We have been having a thunderstorm after thunderstorm record-breaking rainfall all that stuff... went over yesterday to craft for church Bazaar with the ladies at the church but could not stay more than an hour the fluorescent lights there for making Havoc with my left eye and it has only been a week so it's not really all that much healed yet... seems the church is in trouble it's parishioners are all elderly and they are in financial trouble possibly going to have to sell the church I don't know what that means yet... the building ...the people... how do you sell Church??... had so much fun with Margie a week ago Saturday at Daytona Beach Chihuahua outing... we are planning a trip next week to Sebastian Inlet campground if anyone is in the area and I can snag a site you can join us we will arrive on the 25th leave on the 27th... I still have to find that leak around my black tank area I'm not able to get down and lay under there and looked at it yet I'm not supposed to bend over and hang my head down or whatever for a while yet.... I posted on Facebook about it a few people suggested gorilla glue or something like that maybe Goop glue and duct tape to fix it myself for a quick fix I think that's what I'm going to do if I'm able... later gator

Lovely time meeting Sue for lunch yesterday! I hope Piper enjoys her "beauty parlour" trip today!

Gonna be a garden day today, as I'm on the slow side. Had a reaction to my tetanus vaccine yesterday evening, and didn't sleep well. Puttering with plants is always a good prescription on a day like that. Even though this year it's the year of hardscaping!

Good Morning!

I am so tired with all the going and visiting! Have much to catch up on so think I'll take the day off. I have only seen my grands at 2 school functions and all the stuff I brought for my daughter is still sitting in my truck!

My aunt (86) and step aunt (88) and I went to visit step cousin yesterday at her new home in Junction City - a town I'm not familiar with. I had been told there was road construction but the detour signs were well marked. Wrong! So I was really lost - one aunt would tell me where to go and the other would say she didn't think that was right! It got worse. Turned out the construction wasn't a factor from where we were coming and the detour sign was missing! I could have just followed the GPS and driven right there. ARGH!

Sue, hoping all is well with the inspection. Nikki, I wish renewing my library card was all that happened in my life sometimes! I have to take the SS trailer for repairs in Denver Monday. Man who hit the corner of it on the Vegas freeway in a traffic jam hit it harder than I thought. Custom axle so local man isn't wanting to work on it. Easiest just to drive 8 hours each way and maybe they'll fix some other things that I have been putting up with. If money weren't a factor, I'd dump the darn thing.

Donna, glad you are getting out and about. Everyone be safe with all the nasty weather! With the cool weather here at least it hasn't been an onslaught of weather warnings!

I'm enjoying a quiet hour or so, Mel took PT Cruiser to have a bath and wax. I guess that means predicted rain will happen! Ha Ha. I'm lounging but will get moving shortly and try to accomplish a few things on this rare day with only 1 appointment to which Mel can take himself for a change. Mandy is the smart one, she's still snoozing by my shoulder here. Her sister is in a snit because Mandy again smells funny from Vet. Mandy has a gum ulcer next to where a tooth was removed a couple of months ago. Praying the ulcer is a simple fix as Dr wants to biopsy next Tuesday . Poor baby. And her sister Stormy just has a hissy two weeks after each vet visit. Sure wish we could go camping but still need to find time to take Leisure Travel van in for new shoes. Then time to take it across Sacramento to get generator fixed again. Priority goes to getting PT AC fixed, hopefully at maintenance visit tomorrow! Our near record 97 yesterday made it a must do ASAP.
Have a good day and weeks end everyonrpe.

Good morning ladies!

Sunny and beautiful today! Will have to take the kayak out for awhile and see how my shoulders do with that.

Got my Chromebook delivered this morning so once that gets charged up, will play with that too. I need to stop at the library and pick up the book I ordered on Chromebooks, to learn about it. Hoping the learning curve isn't too high!! :o

Need to do laundry and pay bills today too. Will do that later.

Hope you all have a good day! :D

Anita, you have sure had problems with that trailer. I am always looking at something to tow or a carrier so I would have a place to put stuff. No more than I travel I can't bring myself to spend $3,000 or more to fix my car to tow.

Louise, is there some reason you got a tetanus shot? I got one after the hurricane in 2005 when we were working in all that mess. I couldn't get Harold to get one and he works with horses all the time. We actually had an elderly neighbor die of tetanus years ago. I also had another shot that they recommended but I don't remember what it was.

Donna, I have wondered how they can sell a "church" too. There was a church built on the way to Lafayette and there was never many cars there. The building was eventually sold. I was wondering how someone could get a loan to start a church. I managed to knock the sewer connection off my first motorhome. The part that has the handles. Come to find out that it was only pushed on the pipe. Not even glued.

Nikki, we are watching the storms march this way. Last night they said it would get here during the night tonight. It looks closer than that today. After that passes we should have a few days with no rain. Maybe my sister and I can make it to the lake.

I put a flea treatment on the house cats this morning so they are all POed at me. Usually in the spring we have a big flea problem outside but I haven't noticed it yet. I need to go to the barn with some white pants on. That's when I can really see if there is a problem.

Speaking of rain, Arizona and New Mexico have been having tons of rain. I got caught in Canyon de Chelly National Monument yesterday, and finally left after it just not seeming to stop. Leaving Chinle, a car kept flashing its headlights on me. Turned out there was slush and hail all over the road going up a hill, plus one car off in the ditch and another car pulled over checking on him. Anyway, made it safely to Gallup and now headed to Cochiti Lake near Santa Fe.

Martha, my doctor made sure I got a DPT booster last summer. That not only includes tetanus, but also whooping cough, which we older people can give to newborns and very young babies, so it is very important to get one if you haven't. Also, there is a new pneumonia shot that is more effective that I got along with the DPT. Both are covered by Medicare.

Chalet, your trip reminds me of the time I took my elderly mother to Canada to find her uncle'/s house. She assured me she would recognize it and knew where it was. Well, after a two-hour drive, it turned out she had not been there in 40 years and the only way she could recognize it was from the red door!!! I tried to explain that after 40 years someone had no doubt replaced or repainted it!

Judy, did you ever find that house? Nothing ever looks the same after 40 years!

Just paid bills and paid off three credit cards so that will save me $80 per month that I need for the increase in my new car payment.
Also signed up for an online course for Proofreading. Am hoping I can start doing proofreading jobs on line for extra income. If you know of anyone writing an ebook who needs a cheap proofreader, let me know. I will probably just do some for free to get experience for awhile until I feel confident I know what I am doing! I have a very good eye for mistakes when I am reading so it should be a good fit for me.

I postponed the kayaking for later. The wind picked up a little and I am waiting for it to warm up a little more before going out.

Off to get something for lunch and stop at the library.

DPT is Diptheria, Pertussis ( whooping cough), and Tetanus.
And Judy is right, they say immunity to the original DPT we got much earlier in life wanes over time. It is possible to ask your Dr to draw a blood test to measure your immunity, wise if you know, you are sensitive to immunizations. It's called a titer for antibodies to a pertussis or whatever you are askng to check.
