Monday Morning Report

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Monday Morning Report

Postby Colliemom » Mon May 09, 2016 5:45 am

Good Morning, how are y'all this morning. Bright eyed and bushy tailed or just up. Beautiful but frosty morning here in northern MI. Heading into 60's today with sunshine. The girls are already into a morning play session in the yard. Hope all your Mothers out there had a nice Mothers Day

Waiting out the 72 hour contingency here to see which buyers are going to wind up with the house. Should know on Wednesday probably. Maybe be a bidding war who knows. the folks who put in the second offer were around by here yesterday, looking over the neighborhood. I think they really want this place. I in the meantime am just puttering around as can't pack anymore stuff till it gets closer to actual moving time. Am using what's left. But have a busy week coming up anyway. Bank, grocery shopping and grass cutting on today's agenda. And of course our daily walk. Am also taking my trailer to dealer for dewinterizing, bearing check etc this morning. Was got to put some water in my waterfall fountain, and then remembered I packed the pump cause I didn't think I was going to do that. Now gotta look at box labels and see if I can find it  ah, the joys of moving.

Going to mosey along here and get my day going. Have a nice one everyone.

Good morning Sue and all... what an exciting time for you would like to see a picture of the house you're selling and a picture of the one that you are moving into or hope to move into... today is beautiful here also 58 this morning was at the home park early again before anyone got there it was great so peaceful and quiet... have to go pick up milk and eggs for Dad at Walmart I'm sure I can find something I need... I've been thinking on for a few months now that I sure wish I had van my back... I don't want to drive this big rig anymore it seemed after I turn 70 things changed ....does that mean I'm getting old... anybody else out there have strange things happen like this when they turn 70 the things I wanted to do when I retired at sixty-five no longer seem important anymore maybe it's because I think I can't do them or maybe it's because I know I can't do them... this is funny because kids young people I think they are invincible I thought I was invincible at 65...lol ... anyway saying this in the same breath I can't wait till my next adventure after I get my eye on this Wednesday and go for my check-ups for it then I'll be free to go... Margie and I are planning on a little get-together at Sebastian Inlet State Park maybe if anybody's around you could come on down too... I'll let you know later what the date will be... again waiting for eye to get done... all for now have fun & B safe...donna

Good Monday morning! A beautiful sunny, so far, day here. I had a great day yesterday, dinner with young son and family and before that oldest son came and put my garage door opener on for me. Now that's the kind of gifts I love!

Sue, sounds like this second family really want your house! And an earlier closing too! Hope the inspection on the house you want turns out okay! Donna, sounds like you need another trip somewhere! Once you get the second eye done, there'll be no stopping you! Liz, glad to see your latest blog. Wondered where you were!

Since I didn't get to finish what I started in the yard yesterday I need to get out and do it today. I left a bunch of leaves and stuff on the yard that I need to clean up before I mow. So with that said I suppose I should get to it! Have a wonderful day and travel safe.

I had the greatest Mother's Day! Son #2 turned up with a friend and unloaded my rummage sale tablesaw!

This evening I'll get a tutorial in its use, so that I don't cut my fingers off. My life is just so exciting.

Morning all!

Sue - that is really cool to have two people interested in your house! We have a funny thing about selling homes, both times our houses sold (2005 and 2013) we were staying at the same guesthouse in Key West and in a room (number 13 both times) that wasn't our usual room... so if we ever need to sell this condo we're heading to room 13!!

Donna - I hear you, I'm only 55 but have mobility issues now, makes some of the things I've always wanted to do when I retire, not very doable. So I have to tweak the plans quite a bit; really puts us in a quandary about what kind of rig to get next.

Good morning, all. Hope Mother's Day was all you each could wish for. Donna - I know EXACTLY what you mean. I keep wondering when and how I got so old? Time just flew by. When my DH died and I first started solo travel, I had all these thoughts of long trips back east to see friends and family and revisiting some of my favorite places. Each year I get more fearful and I think it just hits us that we are very vulnerable as we age. Things we used to do with ease become impossible tasks. And more and more we realize the dangers that could befall us. Makes me mad that I turned into that fearful little old lady, but I'm guessing that's life. These days I follow others unless it's a familiar route. I probably drive friends crazy hoping they will invite me to tag along.

If we want to continue this chosen lifestyle we just have to suck it up and go. After all, a thousand mile trip starts with just 1 mile! Think of it as a thousand trips of 1 mile each!

Sue, I'm just up but did make coffee. I don't function very well without a quart of coffee. We had beautiful weather this weekend. Now it's back to overcast with a chance of rain. It's windy again too. I did get the weed eater out and did some trimming. I need to wash the house again. I wish the siding wasn't so cheap so I could use a pressure washer.

Louise, what are you going to build with your table saw? That's a serious tool. lol I use to be the carpenter in the family. They still talk about the rabbit cage I built out of 2x4's. Harold said it would hold a gorilla. The toy boxes I built survived the flood.

Donna, for a while I thought I would like to have a little larger motorhome. Mine is so easy to drive and park that now I think if I take care of it, it will last as long as I can drive one. My first motorhome was a van that I drove all the time. If my sister didn't camp with me sometimes I would like to go back to a van like a Roadtrek.

Louise, do be careful with the saw. I am terrified of power saws because my dad ran a carpenter crew all his life and employed most of my uncles, two of which were missing fingers from saws. Makes me weak just thinking about it.

I will not regale you with my latest Dell computer saga, but I got the tracking number and there is doubt it has really been shipped, meaning I will be in Grand Canyon when it is delivered here to Lake Powell. Dell customer service is trying to figure out where it is and if it has really been shipped because Fed-ex says they have not received it yet. I will spare you rest of details.

Work today and I am determined to clean out my two utility storage areas. One where the hookups are is where i just stick in my sewer hose and supports, so I consider it dirty. The other one is where hoses, extra electric cables, cleaning supplies, etc go, so it is supposed to be "clean" but gets dirty and messed up over time. Since I have a really nice, very wide asphalt pad and water hookups, this is the perfect time to get my act together and clean them both up with soap and water.

Beautiful and sunny day here at Lake Powell.
