BJ, talk to Kathleen about her convection/microwave. She uses it all the time.

BJ, you mean your rig's microwave? Convection?

I understand wet and water...what is "extra wet"???

..

Got the instruction book out and it is called a Sharp Carouse Double Grill Convection Microwave Oven. You can also grill in it! I just want to be able to get water hot for coffee and do simple reheating of food. Elsie is an '03 so not sure if it is the original.

As to the wet in the coffee, it relates to how much steamed milk and foam is added. The place I go for coffee, The Longbranch, is also a very good vegetarian restaurant and has a great selection of homemade desserts. Maybe we can make it an afternoon excursion.

I would like to try your coffee, I only drink regular in the AM and de-caf in afternoon. And yes, the grinder is really important, I just had to stop using mine as Andy has always been convinced he needs to protect me from the thing. That got to be just too much noise to deal with in the AM :D I order mine ground now and really can't tell the difference.

I gotta tell Mel about your roasting coffee beans. Where do you buy green beans? I have only seen roasted here. Also what model roaster did you get? I see maybe a roaster for Farher's Day here . Thanks

The roaster is the Fresh Roast SR300 ($129).

So far, I have only purchased beans twice - both on ebay.
The first purchase, of which I used the last just the other day (5 lbs.), really was delicious.

It was 5 lbs. of Sumatra Mandheling Raw Unroasted Green Coffee Beans, FT ORGANIC Arabica from ebay seller greentreecoffee. $29 + $6 shipping

My second, as of untried, is Colombian Supremo Valle de Cauca Estate Raw Unroasted Green Coffee Beans - same seller. $19 + free shipping

Great resource, including information, is https://www.sweetmarias.com/

Well, that sucks. I paid $129, no shipping (from Amazon)

Here's one at $129. Don't know about shipping:

And here's the manufacturer:

Just so you know, the roasting process stinks.
It does not fill your roasting area up with the smell of freshly brewed coffee.

I do mine in the garage. Not sure what I'll do in the winter...enclosed back porch maybe...

Thanks Mitch, good info. I don't even like the smell of brewing coffee so better I will relegate him to sunroom with window open! :D
