Happy Mothers Day

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Happy Mothers Day

Postby Colliemom » Sun May 08, 2016 4:52 am

Wishing a Happy Mothers Day to all you Mothers out there, whether it be two legged or four. Hope you have a wonderful day.

I have some exciting news to report this morning. I had an unexpected showing on my house yesterday cause the office didn't call me. It has resulted in a second offer being made, this one for my full asking price. So now the people who have the Contingency offer have 72 hours to either match it or they will lose out. I could have a bidding war going here. Needless to say, I am beyond Cloud 9. And the lady who's house I am buying, came up from downstate yesterday to get some of her stuff from the house and make sure things are ready for my inspector on Tuesday. She can't drive anymore, so DD and SIL brought her up. They will be coming back in a couple of weeks to pick up some pictures and some personal stuff She is leaving the furniture, kitchen utensils and what not for me. I can sort through, see if I want anything, donate it or have myself a nice garage sale and pocket the proceeds. So this whole buying, selling, moving thing is falling into place beyond my expectations. Will be doing some serious packing soon as I see who the buyers will be as the date of closing might be changing as much as two weeks earlier and vacate day about same. And I have friends jumping on the bandwagon to help me move, one of whom just volunteered to bring over their toy hauler trailer.

So off to mass this morning. Have much to be thankful for. Molly's one eye is clearing up and the other hopefully will come around. Think I see a little change in it now too. See the specialist on the 16th. Hoping to get her to he groomer this week too as she really needs a bath. Going to be a busy week with inspection of lake house on Tuesday, friends coming by on Wednesday and I have Blue Cross meeting to attend on Thursday. Changes in insurance of course. So Commission on Aging having two meetings with the reps scheduled so we can see what's up. Plus there will also be some paperwork for the sale to be signed etc.

Barb, I saw the news on the fire up in MN. Seems like there are fires all over. Even FL had one. We are starting to get some of the upper atmosphere smoke from the Canadian fire here. Giving us a little haze in the sky. See there has been a little rain ovr toward the MN fire area, hope it helps. They desperately need it in Canada. We have a high fire danger here too but there are a few little showers moving through this morning. Probably not enough or widespread enough to do much though.

Well, off to wash hair, make bed and eventually get dressed. I"m up before O dark thirty this morning, so have a good couple of hours before I will be leaving. Have a wonderful day everyone.

Happy Mother's Day ladies, and as Sue said to mom's of 2-leggers and 4-leggers, as well as special aunts, friends, etc.

Great news Sue about the full price offer and Molly's eyes.

Have a good day ladies and stay safe on the roads.

Good morning and Happy Mothers day
Little gentle rain overnight, makes everything fresh this morning.
Got a lot accomplished yesterday, cleaned out two rooms here at Bills
and that frees up space to clean out the two little bedrooms for his
grandson this summer. Bill had a house key made for me yesterday, so
now its all official. Such a little thing, but says a lot. Started my treatment
yesterday for my liver, 3 months and my liver should be good as new. Medicine
is so expensive, thanking god my deductible is met, makes the price acceptable
and was important to get it done now as opposed to the next fiscal year. Then after
that Medicare won't pay for it.
Watching a pretty little red finch that comes every morning, he's much deeper red
than the pictures even for the male. Not sure exactly what kind it is but I'm
going to try and get a for y'all. Hopefully, together, we can figure out what
this little bird actually is.
About time for breakfast, y'all have a great day

Good morning everybody Happy Mother's Day... great news Sue... things are looking up for everyone I'm happy for you all... yesterday I went to Daytona Beach with Margie and her two dogs Annie and Maggie...Buddy... did not go... and of course little Pheebe was there with me... I took her buggy with me because I did not know how she would react around all those dogs and people... well she did wonderful... I need not have worried she was a perfect little dog... I cannot figure out why she carries on so much when we are in Camp driveway... anyway back to Daytona Beach... we went to an event... Guinness Book of World Records how many chihuahuas in a two-piece costume in one place... and they broke the record at 190... I did not enter Pheebe because I did not know if she would do well or not with the people and the dogs but now I wish I would have known because I would have done it she was so good I'm so proud of her she has come such a long way.... I've noticed the last few weeks that she is paying more attention to me maybe her attention span is getting away from the puppy mode anyway she pays more attention to me waiting for Direction and listening to me and doing what I tell her such a sweetheart.... I think from now on I will be able to say whole bunch of positive things about my sweet little Pheeebe...

Happy Mothers Day! Sun is shining and supposed to be a good day to be outside! Sue, what wonderful news about your house! It's all coming together for you! And Alice, things moving right along for you too!

I think today will be an outside day for me again. Don't want to miss out on a chance to get out in the sun. Then later today I'm having dinner with young son and his family. Did some more work in Lola yesterday, slowly getting things done on that front. I need to add some air in the tires and get propane so may try to take her out and do that tomorrow, if it isn't raining, that is!

Time to get a move on, coffee is done so need to get dressed and get busy. Hoping you all have a good Mother's Day and if you are traveling, be safe.

Happy mother's day to all

Sue, how great to get another offer for your asking price--looks like with either buyer, you win! Donna, so glad Phee is "growing up" & awaiting your directives:) Also want to thank you for the kind words you expressed the other morning--I just think it was "time" for you to have another baby, & I just happened to be there when Phee came into your life:)

Some sun here this a.m., but rain in the forecast for this afternoon. Then looks like a dry week ahead. Bro & I will get the garden tilled by mid-week, planting not til the end of the month. Everything looking good!

Y'all have a great day 8-)

Happy Mothers' Day to everyone who has ever mothered a little one of any species. Rain is predicted, but none so far last night or this morning.

I thought yesterday was Friday and missed the farmers' market. I could drive across town to another with pretty much the same vendors. Don't know that I will; there's lots to do around the house.

Sue, congrats on offer on house. Donna, sounds like you and Phoebe had fun. Sounds like everybody is staying busy.

Travel safe.

Ms.Pheebe was a perfect lady yesterday at the Chihuahua event in Daytona Beach. Very calm and well behaved. Hoping to find another event where she can participate. Great time spent with Donna yesterday. Looking forward to our next adventure.

It's a beautiful day here in Wahweap Campground at Lake Powell. Mostly sunny with a few clouds and cool enough to leave all my windows open and enjoy the rain-washed fresh air. This is an expensive campground, but I am going to rest and take advantage of the wide, paved campsites to do some cleaning of underneath storage area, including my "dirty" sewer hookup area and the next door place where I store my hoses and other maintenance things.

Great news, Sue. Anything you get above your old offer is now travel money, right????

I was assured by the campground people that having Fed-ex deliver here was not a problem. When the truck stops at the registration office, they will send him down to me. I am using this backup laptop I got three years ago when I had hard drive problems with my old computer, but it is really hard to use. Keys do no light up and and hard to see, plus they just don't feel right. Plus I am working on basic software because I do not want to spend the money upgrading software on this machine that I only use very occasionally. Will spend it on new machine instead. Supposed to be here on Monday or Tuesday, so am hopeful to only need to use this a couple more days.

Happy mothers day, all.

Gorgeous day today! Mid 70's, sunny and no wind! :D

Of course i am at work today but will be off at 4. Hopefully can try out the kayak later.

Donna, maybe Pheebe is just protecting her "turf". Glad she is doing so much better!

Break time is over...back to work.
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
