Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Wednesday, April 27

Good morning, everyone! I can't believe April is almost over! Where does the time go? Got lots to do today, Looks like the last day to get outside before the rain comes in and they are saying it'll be several days of off and on rain. I still have to finish cleaning up the winter mess and now the trees are dropping all the yellow pollen laden stuff all over the driveway! At least Lola isn't sitting right under the trees this year! She'll still get some but not as much as last year! I remember the trip last year with Carolb and I was on the roof with a broom getting it off. A 2 hour drive didn't blow the stuff off!

Martha, I had the same tire problem on my car and they finally remounted the tire on the rim after they cleaned it. After that, the light quit popping on.

Looking forward to Carolb's visit in the next few days. I know she's on the move!

Well, this isn't getting anything done so best to busy. Sun is out (for now) so need to go out and clean up after the dogs! Have a great day and travel safe if you are on the road!

We are watching a line of severe thunderstorms headed this way from the West. It should be here in about 30 minutes. Hope they don't cause any tornadoes. I thought about taking my motorhome to get serviced but not getting out in that mess.

Thanks Sharon, the next time I get the tire checked I'll make them remount it.

Good morning ladies.
Thought i was scheduled to start at 9 this morning but got a frantic call at five after 8 asking where i was. Turns out I was supposed to open the shop at 8 this morning! Oops!

Guess i am also in the dog house with my dad too. I called him last night and he hung up on me! I talked to his renter this morning about taking him to his neurology appointment tomorrow. He said he will take him. I really need to be there so I am going to meet them at the dr office.
Got another nasty email from my brother today too, so not starting out to be a good day for me. Does make me feel better to look out the window at my new car tho. :D

Hope those in the way of storms today stay safe and dry! Just cold and windy here today.
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Good Morning Everyone !!! Thinking of all you gals in La. and Al. in the line of fire from the predicted stormy weather coming east. In fact, have some family in areas it has been in, so am thinking of many this morning and hoping all are and will be ok. I've always had a fear of Tornados, but at least now they can let us know, years ago they just popped out anywhere and everywhere and usually after a hurricane in Fl. Now, my big concern is where would I go if one came here ?

Collecting more trash here, made the run yesterday and got rid of bags of stuff and then on to the grocery, so ended up being a big day. I had a small list and did I ever go over that :D I don't think other then fresh fruit and veggies I will need much for a long time  I do dislike going shopping so while there just did it up so I wouldn't have to go for sometime.

I've discovered I don't have any light bulbs, so have to run down to the little dollar store nearby here and see if I can get some there, have no lights in my bathroom and at night that is very inconvient. Flashlight needs new batteries, everything is giving out on me

Other then more work then I want here, there is no real news to write of, so will just wish you all a good and SAFE day.
Take care all,
CArol

Morning all!

After my very first, and excellent I might add, chiropractic appointment, I slept for ten hours last night!! I've been sleeping poorly for the last few months so this was a little slice of heaven.

Barbie, I know when you're in the thick pf it, it feels like its your whole world, but it does get better. It's awful how, at the end of our parents lives, things are so damned hard. Wishing you peace as you struggle through.

I'm baaaccckkk! Back on the road, that is. I have been in Ohio visiting my younger son and his family and attending the middle child's birthday. Horrible plane rides each way with cramped planes, which meant my back was really painful. (I hurt it on the Monument Valley truck tour on the 17th.) So I went to an urgent care place in Ohio where they gave me a prescription for prednisone and flexiril. Except the flexiril was 7.5 and no one carried it, plus my insurance company wanted pre-authorization because of my age and the danger of falling! :x Like I am a frail, really elderly person?? So, never could get it filled and am back in Utah trying to get the doctor to call in another size called in so I can just pay cash and skip the picky insurance company. In the meantime, muscles (or nerves) in my back keep going into spasm if I move the wrong way so I am walking carefully. Using heating pad, which does help, but by end of day, back is really sore.

I had left my motorhome at the Salt Lake City airport for five days, and it was fine. Batteries were still almost fully charged and refrigerator had kept everything cold. Most importantly, no one had blocked me in! Cost for 5 nights and part of a day was $51. Pretty cheap, I think. Changed my plans to go to Capitol Reef NP because of very cold weather and my back problems, so am sitting here for another day before heading south to Zion National Park. Utah Lake SP in Provo is very nice, and I have a terrific view over the water with snowcapped mountains in the distance. Hardly anyone around, which I also like.

Good Morning everyone... am alone again... Carolb left yesterday noon... sure will miss her bright happy face and her three pups... was going to steal piper but I think she would not like that!! Boy did she ever turn my house upside down!! She is such a worker... her feet never hit the ground!! It was so good to have her here...

Oh Barbie it is such a struggle with your dad... I bet at times you wish you were back in California! I think my Margie gets tired of me sometimes... They didn't want Carolb and me to take the wall paper down from the small bathroom... John said most likely we would gouge the dry wall and he would have to have one of his workers mud and fix it... ahhh guess that is why I have no step or extension ladders; saber saw, circular saw; drill; and much more... I used my step stool and a chair to try to reach the smoke doctor as it was beeping once in a while... but it is hard wired so do not know what is wrong with it...

My granddaughter Joy graduates from nursing school full fledged RN... she could only get tickets for her immediate family so I am not included will send a card and check and wish her the best... its the first grandchild that I have not gone to their college graduation... went to all of their high school ones though...

Please check on loved ones and friends in the path of the storms... and be careful yourselves... thankfully I am in a brick building on the first floor so it is a bit safer here...

Take care everyone... have a wonderful day...
Kathleen or Kathy

Kathleen, our smoke detectors were wired into the electric too but they also have to have a battery. Our house is 10 years old, hard to believe. I think I have replaced all of them. I think smoke detectors are only meant to last about 5 years. The electric connection can be unsnapped to take them out. The old ones will have a model number that you can use to buy a replacement. When they would keep beeping after I replaced the battery I just replaced the whole thing. It is hard to reconnect the electric so some are battery only now. These things can be so aggravating when they start beeping in the middle of the night.

Oh, Judy, I'm sorry you're hurting. I've gotten so that I take a flexeril before I get on the plane!

I have to head home today. Here's the problem. Every wonderful thing I see, I want to come back again. And then there are all the new things too see . . . Life isn't long enough and my bank account isn't big enough!

Grumpy old me!
