Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Monday, movin' on

Gmorning all :)

Another quick post before I head out this a.m. Sis set up an appt for me with a "body worker"-- different than a massage, but supposed to work out some of my aches & pains! Will head up to Kathleen's after that:) OSharon, prepare your boys for my visit later this week! BJ, sorry we couldn't gtg, but it's good that your business has picked up:)

Barbie, I too love spring storms. Hope tornados didn't do any damage. Saw a brief "bio" of Prince on the news the other night--so talented. Micki, congrats on the expected great niece:)

Breakfast with sis, then I'm off! Y'all have a great day & be safe always 8-)

Mornin y'all,

Hope you get all the kinks worked out Carolb and then have a great visit with Kathleen. Know you would have liked to see BJ too but guess one can't catch everybody. Hope you have some good weather. It's chilly and rainy here today. Good day to stay inside.

O'Sharon, see you are getting the bug for clearing out "stuff". Seems once you start you just keep on going. I spent yesterday working outside for awhile since the rain didn't come till late afternoon. Had some pieces of scrap PVC pipe I wanted to bundle up and also cut up some old fence posts and a piece of 4x4 from behind the garage. So got all that done and cleaned up. Done with the yard now other than planting some shrubs when I can find the ones I want.

Today is house cleaning day. The thorough house cleaning day. Do that on Monday's and then just maintain the rest of the week. Waiting to hear if I get any showings this week. Never know. Just taking it one day at a time. Need to go to town too, either this afternoon or tomorrow morning and do some shopping.

Otherwise, not much doing here. Hope you all have a nice day and be safe.

Good Morning all,

Carolb sorry we're going to miss each other this year. I've never heard of a body worker, let us know how it goes and what they do different from massage. Hope it helps your body aches.
I think the declutter bug may have reached me in the form of seeing a big spider scurrying across my bathroom floor, ACK I missed him and he dashed under the dresser in my bedroom. I'm not particularly afraid of spiders but this one made me think of brown recluse.
Sue you better sell your house soon, you are going to get bored since you are all organized :)
Be sure and look at Liz's posts, I especially enjoyed her hike around Mirror Lake!
Enjoy the day and safe journey to all on the road.

Enjoy that body work CarolB, I've been to one and it was a combo of massage and energy work, very good stuff.

I get free chiropractic care since I work at their college now, never been to one but I'm giving it a go tomorrow, hope it can help with my endlessly stiff neck and shoulder.

Headed off to volunteer at the Marine Discovery Center, then off to work. Hope everyone has a stellar day.

I should hit the end of the Blue Ridge Parkway tonight, if all goes well. Driving through the Smokies and the Cherokee reservation today.

Look what I found!

Ok, it's upside-down and being disassembled. I found a fully functional tablesaw at a garage sale! It is now in the back seat.

So glad son #2 needed me to fetch this car!

Good morning! Been up awhile and believe it or not I actually fixed breakfast! Bacon, eggs, the whole thing! Grab it quick, it doesn't happen often! :D Son/friend is here and right now is on a conference call so dogs and I are sitting outside enjoying the sun and warmth. Yesterday was a bit strange....I took GS shopping for some sweat pants since he's decided he doesn't like jeans. Then shopping at WalMart, he's a good little shopper! But forgot what it's like to shop with a nine year old! Craig's plans changed so he was here way before me but the dogs really enjoyed having him here by themselves. He is definatly Mr. Doodles people. But we have had a good time visiting and catching up. He has one more meeting and will leave right after that. Then I have to leave for a doctor's appointment.

Carolb, we are ready! And looking forward to your visit! Thinking about Sandi today. Liz, what a beautiful hike! Thanks for taking us along. Donna, I gave the nurse a letter I wrote to give to the doctor listing some of the things we were noticing about my mom before she saw her the one time and that opened the doctor's eyes. Mom could still fool people that weren't around all the time. Just a suggestion of what worked for us. Mickie, I love my chiropractor, just know it may take afew times to see results!

Sounds like meeting is over so we can go back to visiting for awhile! Hope everyone's day is good and travel safe!

Good Morning Everyone !! Monday again, they sure seem to come fast these days :( :D I'm running a little slow this morning, can't decide just how to or what to do first, and taking my time about deciding :) I also cooked a breakfast this morning OSharon, really enjoyed it too. Don't do that often, and when I do, it taste better then I
remember :)

Donna, giving your Dad's dr. info before visit is a good idea. I did this on one of my Dad's visits too, things he would never tell dr., and Dr needed to know. I asked he not give me away as I had to live with him and that could have been rough if he'd ever found out what I did. Drs need all the info they can get to treat patients right, whatever you tell him, he won't mention, or shouldn't and it will help him in determining your Dad's real condition.

Going to be 80 today, so will do the stuff that takes effort and maybe sweating to do, done before afternoon :) No real news, just thinking of everyone and wanted to wish you all a great week ahead, sounds like everyone is busy or has plans. Carolb safe travels, enjoy your trip and I'll be waiting to hear what you think of this massage deal you're getting today too.

Enjoy your day, stay safe everyone,
CArol

Good morning! The weather settled down last night once it started cooling down so no more tornadoes! Just lots of thunder, lightning and rain! Even woke up to a thunderstorm this morning. Everything is so green outside! Spring is definitely here now!

I also feel it is important to write a letter to a parents doctor. My dad is very good at hiding stuff or lying about things, and there are things I can't really say in front of him without starting an argument. Just wrote a letter to his neurologist last week for our appointment this Thursday so she knows what we are really dealing with. Doctors just can't see the whole picture from occasional visits or charts.

Off to work here shortly. Got a message this morning from my dad's renter. Apparently my dad is still waiting for his money and car to show up. I have been avoiding him because I just don't want to waste my time and emotions on this situation over and over again. It really stresses me out and I just need to stay away from it and him for awhile.

Hope you all have a great day! :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Good morning. I thought I had already posted here, but guess it was on FB. I'm off to the dentist again later today and should get the temporary bridge this time. Then I'll have to wait 1-2 weeks for the permanent one before I can move on. I'm also thinking of Sandi today, and saying a prayer for her. Safe travels to those on the road today.

Good Morning - 5 minutes to go!

Thinking of Sandi today and anxious to hear the outcome. So nice to see all the posts.

With all the talk of purging 'stuff', I can once again relate. My daughter and I have been going through everything I have here in storage. She is such a big help and keeps me on track. She is taking my Christmas stuff and all the photographs. Other daughter is taking all the scrapbooks of greeting cards (yes, I kept every one). Family members are taking other things. I'll still have the unit (only a 5x5) as I have a truck tailgate, genealogy, etc to store. I may have an apartment one day and still want a few of the decorative things. The local quilt shop will take my fabric for From the Heart quilters who make quilts for children.

I think the rain has finally quit for a couple of days - SS in still undercover on the trailer. Daughter and grandson have been hauling me back and forth as I am at an Elks Club not too far from their house.

Carolb, a 'body worker' sounds interesting. Sue, I was an organized person once upon a time! Good to read what you are all up to!

Off to do more sorting. Make it a good day and safe travels!!
