Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Sunday, April 24

GR Morning all,

I need a reality check as these days are moving along and I can't keep track anymore either  Okay, O'Sharon, tea's ready. Anybody for eggs, bacon and toast this morning? Or maybe French toast?

Rain moving in for next couple days. Spent yesterday outside, filling in some holes in yard where Piper has been "mining". Don't know hat she's looking for, commodity prices are down and so is oil  Spread some bags of mulch and mowed grass for first time. So yard is looking good. O'Sharon, as far as keeping a house in show condition, by the time one pares down "stuff", and packs up things you don't need to use, you don't have much left to have laying around. I have found that if I go over house good on Monday mornings, the rest of the week is just a daily pick up thing. Make bed, wash and put away what dishes I use, clean up and dry my sinks, jand every other day run the vac and dust mop over the floors, it is easy to keep after. I've been washing my kitchen floor every other day. Then f I do have a showing, it's just a matter of picking up throw rugs, the dogs beds, bowls etc. doing a quick go over everything and done. Has become a routine now and really doesn't take that long. In today's market, buyers are picky. A good clean house is going to show better if they can envision themselves and their stuff in it as opposed to one that has a lot of clutter around. We have a product to sell, so must put our best foot forward.

Not much on agenda. Time to get dressed, make bed, run vac etc. and might take a quick run to town. Hope yo all have a Blessed Sunday.

Gayle's neighborhood has an interesting mix of inhabitants.

Maybe Piper wants to visit China? When I was small, my cousin and I tried to dig through to come out on the China side of the earth. We got so deep -- well over our heads -- that the grown-ups were afraid the pit would collapse on us and made us quit. They filled in the hole, too. Boy was I mad!

Ah, thanks for the tea, Sue! I slept in this morning and not moving very fast yet this morning! Sounds like you have the house cleaning down to a science! I'm nowhere near that yet! I pulled stuff out again yesterday to get rid of and ran out of boxes so things are sitting on the floor and table in the dining room. And since I went looking for a set of sheets, I decided to do some cleaning out in the linen closet so more bags upstairs! I think it's about time to call for another truck to come pick up these things! In between all that I was washing blankets and changing sheets on the beds plus vaccuming upstairs. I finally quit about 8:30 last night! When I finished the guest room I closed the door and discovered about an hour later that I locked a dog in the room. He was just standing by the door waiting for me to open it. Poor baby, I never thought about him being missing since he usually takes off to another part of the house when I'm vacuuming! He greeted me like he hadn't seen me for days!

Louise, love the pic! Definatly interesting neighbors! Adults do have a way of ruining a kid's fun! Sure wish I could figure out which of my guys is digging! I keep looking for dirty paws but so far can't really tell.

Well, need to get moving. Have to run to the store and pick up a couple of things. My other "son" is staying here tonight and he is a breakfast eater so want to pick up a couple of extras for him. Have a good day and travel safe!

Nice neighbors, Lousie...OSharon, sometimes dogs "go missing" like that! Couldn't find Tigger the other day--locked in BIL's workshop when I had just opened that door for like 10 seconds.

Kathleen, nice post ;) Yes, she & I had a great visit, now at sis's til tmrw, then back to Kathleen's for another night:)

Good to see you too, Lyn. Thought of you last night when I heard StL ball game was at Petco field:) Nikki, glad you did make it to the gtg afterall--met some great ladies, for sure:)

One small project to finish today. Y'all have a great day & be safe 8-)

In Ohio with my son's family and three grandkids. Today is the middle one's birthday, so we are headed off to some sort of play place for the day. Having a good time and enjoying their new bedroom in the finished basement and hoping my motorhome is OK parked in Salt Lake City's airport lot. I've left it for 5 days before and refrigerator has still been working, but big worry is getting pinned in, but hope that will not happen.

When I get back I will be heading off to Capitol Reef National Park, Zion National Park, Kodachrome Basin SP, and finally Grand Canyon. Looking forward especially to Zion and Grand Canyon because I will be able to leave vehicle set up and use shuttles. Will need to stock up on lots of food before I go, however.

Mornin' ladies and all that follow ~~~

Maybe Piper is building a tunnel to come see The Punk. I need to get some grass seed into the area where the tree fell last year and he thinks that's his digging spot. Well there and a former rabbit hole. How are Molly's eyes doing? Took Zorro in yesterday because is left eye didn't look right. He's got an ulcer / scratch on it so am putting in some ointment. Vet said it looks like it's healing, but if it takes too long, they want to take a blood, spin it down, knock him out, scrape the area and then put the blood serum on it for faster healing. I will not put him thru that. His eyes are already cloudy and he is 14 so anesthesia this age gets a little too touchy for them.

Not sure if I mentioned the roof repair is done, dead bushes pulled, edging cleaned up new mulch done. Sometime in May will figure out what I want to put in the front of the house. Maybe just garden gnomes lol so I don't have to trim anything.

Wow Louise! Surprised they are so close to the house. I've only seen them from far away no where near people.

Carol glad to see you and Kathleen had good visit. Was nice to see her post also. Hopefully, she'll check in more often.

Plans for Mother's Day weekend end is to take Mom with. She'll either back out like she did last year, or decide to go. Either way it is not going to be a relaxing time for me. Mom is hard to please.

That's about it here is the Chitown burbs. Beautiful day today and need to get out and run some errands.

Have a good day everyone and stay safe on the roads.

Good morning ladies!

Was blasted out of bed at 5:30 this morning by a huge "BOOM!". Sounded like a bomb went off! It was one huge boom of thunder! It has been storming off and on since then. I love thunderstorms! Supposed to settle down pretty soon and then start up again this evening. Things are sure turning green quickly tho! The nitrogen from the lightening has really inspired the leaves to pop out fast! The leaves will block my view of the traffic :D but will also block my view of the lake. :(

Sue, I will have French toast please! :D I need to go thru more stuff in my place too. Still some boxes that need to be gone thru since I moved in. Lost interest somewhere along the way and now they just sit mocking me!

Yesterday wasn't as busy at work as I thought it would be. Most customers who came in, didn't even know we were having a haircut sale. I haven't heard any commercials on TV or radio about the sale, and we are only allowed to put out one sale sign on the street, per the city. It was a beautiful day so most people were also probably out enjoying the weather knowing it was gonna rain today.

Been looking at cars again (jeeps) to buy but no luck so far. Once I paid off that old delinquency, my credit score came way up so I should be able to get much better interest rate now. Am looking at one Jeep and waiting to hear on financing on Monday. Several Jeeps I have found on line, I have checked on carcomplaints.com and discovered major issues with that model for that particular year, so ruled those out. I am being very picky now since I am not in a hurry. I want to get the right one for me and am doing a lot of research beforehand on each one.

Minnesota is taking Prince's death very seriously. One senator now wants to make purple the state color in his honor. His death has taken over the news here totally. He was a big deal here.

Thought the storms were over already but just heard more thunder. It can do this all day! I love it! :D

Have a good day!

Just past noon here, but good morning anyway!

I have a tiny family, growing up military it was just mom dad me and my brother, we each added a spouse and they had one child. Mom and dad are gone now so we're even smaller, but that will change in November. Just got some wonderful news... my only and much beloved niece is going to have a baby, they just found out it's a little girl, my Boo is going to have her own little Boo, I'm over the moon happy for them!!!

Congrats Mickie! Do they live near you so you can spoil her on a regular basis??

I decided today to drive over to Paisley Park (Prince's home and studio) and pay my respects. It was a very beautiful and moving experience! Lots of cool memorials; flowers, balloons (purple of course), artwork, cards, signs, etc.

There were a lot of people there and I had to park a long ways away but luckily it had quit raining at the time. I ran into a gal I worked with many years ago so that was cool. It was such a mixed crowd of hundreds of people. Young, old, middle aged, white, black, and everything in between! Took some pics and spent time to read all messages left there. Posted some of the pics on FB.

We are now being hit with round two of the storms. This line just hit a few minutes ago and it is just pouring out! Lots of thunder and lightning with it. Loving it!

Have a good night!

Well, maybe not such a fun storm. :o There are two confirmed tornadoes 50 miles south of me! Hopefully we won't get them up here! Yikes!
