Sad day at our house

Postby MandysMom » Wed Apr 20, 2016 3:57 pm

We got news this morning that Mel's father died early today. He was 91 and had been failing a while but it's never easy. And with Mel's health, we have not been to Oklahoma in several years. Sister in law has been caring for him until about 4 months ago when he began falling a lot. We can't travel right now as Mel needs a tube placed in his ear drum Friday and while looking at that yesterday, doctors found with their scope camera a mass they hope is a non malignant polyp. Will have ear done Friday and in a month go for them to look and biopsy. Timing stinks, of course! This afternoon I take Mel to renew drivers license. We are just sad today.

Think of you and Mel and all his family. Being a part of and witnessing these life journeys does make hearts ache. There are no detours around these. May your memories and love help as road maps through the uncharted country.....

(((hugs))) Velda
How horrible everything happening at once. My thoughts will be with you and Mel and hoping his ear will be OK as that the polyp is benign. And prayers that things get better for you both.

So very sorry, Velda on the loss and on scary news about a new mass. Thoughts with you both, and big hugs.
