Gmorning all :)

Just a quick post...at sis's with much work to do....

Catherine, lovely pic of the newly weds! Martha & others in LA/TX, glad you made the decision to stay off the road during that heavy rain storm. Alice, your honey bear is lucky to have you:) Sue, glad Mollie's eye problem is a "simple" fix....

Oh, also I'm not functioning this a.m. since I had no propane this a.m. to make coffee--my sensor isn't working, should have known I'd be running out by now  Waiting for sis to text me when she's awake, can have coffee with her. Hope it's soon!!!

And some have asked about Patty. I texted her, but haven't heard back. Anyone a fb friend of hers? I think she's on fb?

Y'all have a great day & be safe :)

Good morning
Weird schedule today at work with high school testing today we have to make two trips for pick up. Makes for a long day.
Dinner tonight at Red Robin, have never been there.
Not much else going on, btw, PattyK hasn't posted lately on fb, think later I will inquire on her.
Y'all have a great day, also wondering about Chris in Houston, last post was the water rising and city
flooded but house was still dry.

Morning all.

carolb, where are you in IL. There are times I miss home, but really can't handle those winters anymore.

Still trying to adjust to my weird work schedule, I'm enjoying working evenings, but the split days off are rough, it feels like I never get a weekend to recuperate. Oh well, it's only for another year or so and then we're calling it done.

Good morning all! Another beautiful day here. I spent all day out in the backyard and got lots done. But much more to do! Most of today is shot since I have to take the car in in a little while. Couple of hours to sit and wait! Luckily DS came by late yesterday and managed to get my little tiller started. I haven't used it for a couple of years and I just couldn't get it going. Pulled and pulled but nothing  He pulled twice and it fired up! Grumble, grumble! :D

Carolb, glad you're getting closer! Enjoy your visit with your sister. Mickie, glad to see you check in! Hope everyone else is safe and not in the way of the storm in TX. And here they have a high fire warning out. There have been several brush fires around here the last several days. We do need some rain.

Better get a move on, I need to get going since there are a couple of construction projects going on and don't know how long I may have to sit in traffic! Have a wonderful day, travel safe!

Drove to Canyonlands yesterday and suffering a really sore back from the bumpy tour I took at Monument Valley the day before. Luckily, I had some muscle relaxants and have been taking one at night before I go to sleep, but even sitting in my recliner hurts at the end of the day. A little better this morning, at least.

I am at Dead Horse Point State Park, which is a really interesting place. The campground and visitor center are on a long, narrow high mesa, so while you may not have a view from your specific campsite because of the pinion pines, you are just a couple of hundred feet from a mini-Grand Canyon. (Do a Google Earth search, and you will see what I mean.) No water here, other than what you can fill in jugs, but I brought a full tank so am fine. There is electric, however, which is nice because is went down to at least 34 last night and I kept electric heater plus heaters going last night.

It is also right next to the northern part of Canyonlands National Park, so I am headed off today to see the state park overlooks and then head out to national park. Nice!
