Monday Again

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Monday Again

Postby Colliemom » Mon Apr 18, 2016 5:23 am

Off to another week again. April moving right along. Weather has been great, getting lots of little things done on house exterior and yard . Didn't get the trailer uncovered yesterday though. Maybe today. Quiet weekend, no showings etc.

Today it's off to town, banking, store, errands and a bit of house cleaning first. If weather isn't great, will work in garage for awhile and start packing up some stuff. Now that warm weather is here, will also pack heavy weight boots etc. from closet

Queen, so nice to see your posts again. Sorry the B didn't work out, but like others said, never say never. Deep down that RV bug might bite again. Barb, sometimes I think that with all the issues you have trying to find a place to live, maybe you should just buy an RV and live in that, go work camping and live your dream. CArol, have a safe trip north. I'm antsy to hit the road myself, but too many irons in the fire right now. Later. Catherine, great pic of the newly weds. O'Sharon, you sound like me and wanting to be outside. Was reading this morning where they say a 19 year hatch of cicadas is supposed to take place this summer. OH and PA two of the states expecting it.

So, hope you all have a nice day today, thinking of those with health issues, hope you find Good treatments or are on road to recovery.

Mornin' Sue and all that follow ~~~

Hoping for a quick sell Sue, with a buyer that won't have a contingency. That can sure muck up the works. I've missed some things going on, but did read and Monday brain is not in full swing yet, so hope everyone is well. I do remember Bronc's pic last week (?). Such a little cowboy. Keep the pics coming Pat. And hope Barbie finds a new place soon so she's not out on the streets. I've got an extra room if you want to move to Illinois  Lyn, hoping your knee is good now. Carold let us know if you see Katherine. Miss her on here.

Colt is dewinterized and Punkin's first camp is under his belt (colar?). He had a blast playing with the kids in the next site. And once the kids finally sat down, Zorro kept using the little girl as a pillow. So cute, but I don't like taking pics of kids for public posting. And the bigger news . . . I backed Colt into the storage lot all by myself! woohoo! Only 2 tries and a couple of extra wiggles, but I did it. I did luck out that the flat bed next to me wasn't there, but hey, I'll take what I can get. :D

That's it for this A.M. Have a good day everyone and stay safe on the roads.

Good morning! Off to work here soon. Very warm out, never got below 68* all night! Nice to have the windows open now and get that fresh air and listen to the birds chirping at dawn.

Sue, traveling in an RV is my dream, but for now, I need to stay here for my dad. After he is gone, I plan to hit the road!

Hope you all have a great day!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Good morning, everyone. Big storm with big boomies that make dogs crazy. They have to be right on top of me so now we're all on the bed. AC is on for the first time this year to pull some of the humidity out of the house.Joining the Pink Flamingos for a GTG in Bandera starting Wednesday, so I get to meet Martha! Yay! I takes me days to get ready for even a short trip, so I guess I better get started. Thought I was leaving on Thursday but saw this morning that it's Wednesday.Hope to get the results of Matty's thyroid test today. He's still losing his hair after 12 weeks on allergy meds and all the environmental changes I can think to make. B.J., I'm finally a believer and using vinegar and water for most household cleaning. Hope everyone is happy and healthy or on the mend. Barbie, I'm sorry your move didn't work out. Lynn, I'm crossing swearing off my list of remedies. I guess we're down to chocolate and wine.  Sue, hope the house sells quickly for you. Martha, travel safe.

Good thoughts for all,

Well, travel plans have changed. I was going to leave this morning but there is flooding in Houston and East Texas. I could have made it to my sister's near DeRidder ahead of the rain but I didn't want to get stuck in her yard. Will have to see what the conditions are in the morning. Nikki, watch the weather reports. Birdie said it was flooding over that way too. Better to be a day late than take a chance.

Yes, I'm real concerned about the weather. Betsy is prone to leaking and it looks like Friday and Saturday are the only dry days in the forecast. I also don't like driving in heavy rain. Trying to drive in thunder with these two dogs is not my idea of safe or a good time. Not sure what to do. I hate being the one to cancel at the last minute, but I think that's the safest thing to do. Just not sure.

On edit a few minutes after original post: Realized that the entire GTG would be about thunderstorms and dogs. Not very enjoyable and I can't leave these two alone during a thunderstorm, especially day after day. Guess I'll call and cancel reservations. Really disappointed that I won't meet you, Martha.

Well hello girls, its still on the am side of the day, and wishing I could do away with Monday and have another Sunday :D Such a nice weekend, had a good time on Saturday on the 4 wheeler doing some of the trails nearby. I really enjoy it!!!
Tomorrow is a dinner for daugter & family to meet Bill. Wednesday he comes into town
to drop the dogs off at groomers, pick me up after my morning run when we will have breakfast and he will then meet my son. Then he's coming in to my work to meet my friends when he takes me back.
Did do a little yardwork at his place over the weekend too. He has a lemon tree he
didn't know he had and also a large gardenia bush pretty much tree size. However its getting choked out by a palm tree so the palm tree is getting cut down when I told him it was a gardenia, showed him the flowers and how good they smelled. Will do some propagating and make clones of the gardenia and have many more.
About time for lunch,y'all have a great day, be safe.

Just a quick, very late post. Been really busy catching up on work stuff--got behind because of my trip.

I will be at Dead Horse Point SP near Canyonlands, so probably won't have any internet for a couple of days. I can grade stuff and then upload it all to students on Wednesday, so lack of internet will not be a big problem. Got a full tank of water because this campground does not provide any, even though there are electric hookups.

Very cold in this part of Utah! About froze to death on the open-vehicle tour bus yesterday. Am writing this in Moab, and will try to upload to my blog tonight if I have even a tiny bit of connectivity. (The campground is on top of a mesa, so that might help get a Verizon signal.) I really, really enjoyed Monument Valley, in spite of being cold on the tour. It had rained the day before so hardly any dust. The bad thing, however, was that it was so bumpy on this tour truck that my back was really hurting last night and is sore today. Can take another muscle relaxant tonight, but could not today because driving.

Did I miss updates on Soos and PattyK? I do not use facebook for this group, so would appreciate any news being passed along. Thanks!

Going to try and post again. Judy, this is one of tGM's favorite areas. I think he would permanently move there if I would agree. We rented a jeep in Moab and drove Canyonland ( drove t where "Thelma and Louise" drove off into the canyon) as well as hiking thru Arches. cd
