Snow Showers to Sun Tuesday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Snow Showers to Sun Tuesday

A Hearty Good Morning all,

Some of the white stuff around this morning, but sun promised for this afternoon. Might be the last of the white stuff too. Temps are heading up from here on, into 60's by Thursday. Will be able to get out in the yard and finish some cleanup that I started before the snows came back. With the nice forecast for the weekend, I have a feeling that people are going to be out looking for homes for sale or looking at the homes for sale. So I will be busy washing outside of windows, putting some mulch around some of my trees, touching up a little paint here and there. O'Sharon, you asked how my weekend went. I had a showing on Saturday afternoon. People like the house but said it might be too far from town for them. I have another showing tomorrow night. This one was requested for 8 p.m. Bit late in the day, but that's okay with me. I'm not doing anything anyway and don't have kids to put to bed, get homework done etc. Don't know how people can view a house when it's starting to get dark out but it's their call. Could be return lookers too for all I know. I"m sure the people with the offer standing on my house, waiting for theirs to sell, are anxious too, hoping a buyer walks in their door.

Barb, great news on getting out of your current lease and finding a neat place to move too. Welcome to the ranks of the purgers. Had to laugh when you said you had a box that you didn't know what was in it so were going to have to open it and see. At this point, if you haven't been into it and haven't missed whatever is in it, that would be the first box to put in the pile to go. Judy, hope you can get your aunt and uncle straightened out, so you can get back to your home on wheels. Nikki, glad you are feeling better.

Need to put out a welcome and say hi to all the new folks who have joined. Hope your hopes and dreams become a reality and don't be afraid to ask questions or too many questions. No such thing as a silly question as we all say. We all started from scratch here at one time or other. Maybe we will meet up at a GTG or on the road someplace.

The tale of the lawn tractor is that a friends are going to take it down to where they live about 30 miles south here. He is a retired small engine mechanic and is going to look over those idlers on my mower deck for me. Will save me about $250 bucks. Told the dealer to just give it general service and bring it back here. They aren't happy with me but that's tough. It's my pocketbook, not theirs. I don't need to mow grass for a bit yet but do have some yard work to do, so will be using it for a few hours out there this week before they take it. Nice to have such great friends. They have also offered to help me when time comes to move.

So guess I had better get a move on here myself. Get cleaned up and dressed. Doing a little cleaning here and there this morning as am keeping on top of it so if i get a call, don't have to kill myself getting the house looking good. You all have a nice day out there. Be safe, keep healthy, enjoy travels if on road or just sit and dream. Those facing health issue, know we are all here for you.

Mornin' Sue and all that follow ~~~

Well I went with the roof repair for now. $300 sounded a lot better than $8,100 :o so guess I know where next years income tax check will go :( Plus, I can get the dead bushes pulled and house hopefully painted (still need to get estimates on that one).

Got some things done in Colt (bed made, towels, etc put back in, sticker on the license (that was a tough one  )). Need to get some air in the tires, 10 psi ea, but they held up pretty well in the winter with the nitrogen but no place close by that has nitro so will have to slowly replace with air as needed. So other than food, clothes and dogs, I'm pretty ready for the dealer on Friday and the first camp on the year. As of now, will bring Colt home, put H2O in the tanks to flush it good this weekend and grab the 4-leggers. Zorro is such a good ole camp dog. Punkin may be handful if he acts around squirrels the same a rabbits. New experience for him. I'll have to send the rescue pics of his first camp, since I think that's why I got him instead of the other couple.

Now, the backing up back into storage, the new guy next to me pulled in real close  , but I'll give it a shot (or 3, or 4 or 5...) and if it's just too tight for me by myself, will drive to Dad's and plop it down in his driveway till he gets back from FL in a few weeks.

That's about it. Have a good day ladies and stay safe on the roads.

Good morning every... sounds like the problems that have developed coming to a good outcome... I am sitting in front of the garage while the man puts brakes on my dad's car... it's in an industrial area but he has a couple of trees and some grass so I brought my lounge chair and a book and I have my phone so I hope it won't be more than a couple of hours.... not sure what I will do after this I'll have plenty to do just need to get my you-know-what in gear and get it done.... have a great day & B safe...donna

Good morning!
Sunny and heading to 50 today with 70's predicted for the next week! Yay!!

Am working on getting my place cleaned up for showing it. The owner is planning to try and get almost $300 a month more for this studio than I am paying. $950/mo is a lot of money for a studio apartment! Not sure he will be able to get that.

I will be going over to the new house after work tonight to measure the bedroom and take pictures and meet the other roommate. As much as I hate moving, I am excited to get in there. Besides the money I will be saving and able to pay off bills and lighten my hours at work, there is a lot of space to put in a garden there for flowers and veggies, etc. It is a half block from the lake and beach/park so that will be good, and a block from the small downtown area. Also a few blocks from my mechanic so if I need work done on my car I don't need to get a ride there and back, just walk home. I actually spent a few years living just across the street from this house with my dad when I was young, when my parents split up. There was an apple orchard there and my dad rented out part of the farm house on it. Those were definitely the happiest years of my childhood. Now that orchard is long gone and several industrial buildings are there now, but the memories are still vivid.

Lola has been getting sick to her stomach several times since yesterday. I don't know why but I am going to try changing out her food and see if that helps. Otherwise she seems to be feeling good. She is getting older so may be getting a more sensitive tummy now.

I am kitten sitting for a neighbor down the hall this week. Very sweet kitten!

Haven't heard from Soos yet on FB but hoping she is doing better and getting up and around in the hospital. I know they don't let anyone be lazy after surgery nowdays. Looks like she will be staying in Florida now for awhile while she recuperates. More time to spend with her little GD tho.

Have a great day! :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Cheryl, you made me laugh with your sticker on your license. The last sticker for my motorhome got hung on the refrigerator waiting to be put on. When I was getting ready to make a trip to Texas I put it in my purse but it never did get on the license. The only time I got stopped for speeding(going 58 in a 55) the cop noticed my sticker was expired. I told him "Oh that, I have it in my purse." I had to get out and put the sticker on my license plate.

I was browning short ribs to put in the slow cooker this morning and our CPA called wanting some information. I was trying to brown meat and look up tax information so hope I didn't forget anything with the ribs. I'm glad he called and I could ask him if he knew when the return would be ready. I should be able to pick them up tomorrow. One less thing to worry about since I want to leave on Monday.

Last night one of my ears was sore from the ear ring. When I took them out my ears were green. I sure wish I could have found the ear ring I lost. I can't wear just any ear rings and I don't know if I have any I can wear all the time.

I am waiting on the vet to call me about Annie. She is getting her teeth cleaned. I sure miss my silly girl. Barbie, maybe Lola is afraid you are getting another cat. lol
