Foggy Saturday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Foggy Saturday

Good Morning
Woke up a little after 5:00 and could not get back to sleep. Decided to get up and get a much earlier than usual start on the last leg of my journey home (I'm still in Montgomery). That is not going to happen as the fog is so dense I'll be lucky if I can get on the road by 10:00. So much for that plan.
I got a warning from the patrol folks here yesterday because I let Nicky pee on one of the bushes. Seems the rule is no peeing or pooping in the campground, only allowed along the outer perimeter. Really hard to explain that to a dog who has to go. Its not like there is a lot of fancy landscape in here. Each site has 2 boxwoods and a crape myrtle plus a patch of grass about 6x8 feet. Maybe we can make it to the edge this morning.
I did get to feeling better yesterday afternoon so got to spend a few hours with husbands nephew and his growing family - Adorable twins about 2.5 and baby 6 months.
Storms forecast over most of AL for Easter Sunday. The dogwoods here are in full bloom and so pretty.
Wishing all a great weekend whatever you have planned.

Good morning! After a couple of warm days I had to pull the heavy coat back out yesterday! But at least the sun was out! Looks like a bit warmer this week end before the rain and snow move back in next week. My poor daffies will not like it! They are out and blooming so will enjoy them while I can! I took advantage of the nice day on Thurs and actually vaccumed the inside of my car, got rid of the winter mess!

Sarah, I hate fog and avoid driving in it when I can. Hope it burns off and you can hit the road. Enjoyed Colleen and Liz's posts and photos. Colleen, understand and laughed at the poor pups! My guys don't like it when they have to sit in the back when I have passengers either! Sue, has the sun done its job and melted the snow?

I need to bake something chocolate today for tomorrow. DIL gave it up for Lent so is anxious to be able to have it again! So will try to come up with something! Not much else going to happen today just same stuff, different day! Hope you all have a good week end and if you are on the road, travel safe.

Like Sarah, I was up way too early. But I was also up way too late last night so after about an hour was able to crawl back on bed... and get another couple hours sleep. Today's a lazy day. Then tomorrow I'm only driving a bit over an hour. I'll enjoy dinner and a few days with a friend then another hours drive to spend four nights the Phoenix area and hopefully see several people. Then I'll start my trip north I believe. I might wait a couple more days as after I hit cooler/colder climes, I'll also drive longer distances.

Sharon, I also laughed about the dogs. Peaches looks at me like I'm nuts when I have a passenger and tell her to get in the back.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Well, after a stressful heavy traffic drive from Anaheim to San Diego yesterday, I slept in today. My guest, who was my daughter-in-law's mother, left early yesterday morning, so I had sheets and towels, plus my own clothes to wash, so I took advantage of the campground's laundry. Also vacuumed and did a little putting away of things, so my rig is back to my solo-living standards!

Had a great lunch with Catherine (cnq50b) in Anaheim before I left, however. Lesson learned: We parked in an empty part of the parking lot, but when we got back my rig, which was taking up two spots front and back, was pinned in. We should have parked next to one another so I could get out more easily after her smaller rig was moved. I barely made it out--tail swing makes it really hard to get out of narrow space if I do not have enough front area to move forward to.

Today's agenda is cooking some ribs, sorting and putting away mail containing various papers and receipts my son brought me, and balancing my checkbook. I also need to do some checking about parking at the trolley for tomorrow so I can sightsee. And might even get my income taxes started, but got to download TurboTax first. Going to be a restful day of all of that and TV watching. I need that after being worn out from several days of Disney!!

Judy, what may I do to assist you while you are camped in San Diego? I am sending you my phone number by PM.
Tomorrow, Sunday, I am booked with family. Is it correct you are going to the zoo on Sunday and then the Wild Animal Park on Monday? I do not have any plans for Monnday...could I pick you up and take you to the Wild Animal Park?
Give me a call in the early evening today or tomorrow. Lyn

Good afternoon!
Sarah, glad you started feeling better - hope the fog has lifted & you've been able to move on by now. Poor Nicky - having to deal with pee & poo restrictions.

Must have been the moon - I woke up around 1 this morning & have been awake since then. :(

Really enjoyed meeting JudyB yesterday. We have such an amazing group of gals here - each one with fascinating stories & a wealth of wisdom. And yes, that parking spot was tight. I was amazed at how well she manuvered getting her rig out of it. Yep, from now on, I'll park in the next spot to ensure an easier exit for the larger rig - we left some space between us when we got there & heck if folks didn't pull in & park between us. It was really, really tight! I don't think either of us thought that empty lot would fill up by the time we left.

Even though I don't have much time to hit the road I sure am having fun meeting some of you as you come close by. Laura, once school is out maybe we can arrange something. Hope you're holding out ok - the end's getting closer. :)

Well, gonna make some cookies now.
Hope everyone has a safe & blessed Easter.
Take care,
Catherine
