Snowin' On Thursday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Snowin' On Thursday

Postby Colliemom » Thu Mar 24, 2016 7:09 am

Good Morning from the snowy 45th,

Winter storm moved in last night. About 4 inches out there I would say. Mixed with some freezing rain, so very fine snow. Forecast calls for 12-18 inches. Am close to the 6-12 inch line, so who knows. It's gonna stay there too as I am not blowing it. Gonna start warming up, so can melt on it's own. Don't have to go anywhere till Sunday if I don't want too.

Today's plan is to put some Poly on the wood I stained the other day, then go through each room and get ready for staging, packing up some stuff as I go along. That will be kind of a fun project. Something different and under no pressure to get it done either.

Sarah, hope you get home before the stormy weather hits or hunker down till they pass. Liz is taking some beautiful pictures. Beth working her way north, Ava back to work, Carolb still having fun and helping friends. Everybody seems to be busy. Interest forming in WI GTG in August, check it out. O'Sharon, don't know if this mess is headed your way, but keep the shovel handy. Donna, nice to see you post yesterday. You have been having a fun winter in FL and glad Pheebe is doing so well. My two are sleeping after chasing and playing in the snow.

Time to get moving here. Y'all have a great day.

On my way in to work but can't do anything. I think I separated my right shoulder yesterday and now I can't move my shoulder/arm at all without intense pain. I will be there for an hour by myself so will have to tell customers to come back when the next gal comes in at 9. I have been trying to get ahold of coworkers to cover the rest of my shift today so I can go to Urgent Care and get this looked at, but so far can't get anyone. Will just have to make the best of it this morning. I only am scheduled til 1:00 but I doubt they want me there that long if I can't do anything. I hope this isn't too serious since I really can't afford to miss much work.

No snow here yesterday but a foot of it just south of here. Very glad for getting missed with that.

Have a good day! :D

Good Morning Everyone !! Barbie, I am so sorry to hear about your shoulder, hope it is ok soon. Did you sleep wrong on it or something ?? I know joint pains, not fun.

I'm doing a load of laundry then will have to go down to one of the shopping centers and run generator. Actually I'm getting my hair fixed this afternoon so will leave as soon as laundry is done and go over to that one. Its not very busy at all, especially half way out to the road. Huge shopping center that used to be, you know how they do, big store moves out and they go down hill, except for little shops. Just down the road they build a new one, not to smart thinking my opinion.

May rain today, not when I walk out with hair fixed I hope  :D Haven't really had all that much in this area, so I won't fuss.

Hope you all have a good day, I will be setting most of mine, I think, ugh

Stay safe and enjoy your day, whatever is on the agenda,

Oh, Barbie, please get to urgent care and get this taken care of. Ouch. Sue, I remember getting that much snow in Keystone last year a couple weeks after I got there... early May. Beautiful and gone quickly, thank goodness. Hoping to not have a repeat.

Alice, I just made reservations near you for next week, Wednesday till Sunday. I have lunch plans Saturday in Apache Junction, but otherwise nothing else planned. Of course, I want to gtg with you and Linda, and anyone else who might be around.. I couldn't get into my favorite park in Fountain Hills so am staying in Judy's favorite :-).

Good morning from PA. Sue, I still have my shovel nearby! Supposed to be in the 70's today but rain tomorrow and then next week rain and snow. Luckily they aren't calling for what you're getting! BIL out in Denver area was coming home from a trip and got caught in the mess out there. Finally managed to get home about 1 am. Barbie, hope you get your shoulder taken care of. Sarah, hope you aren't in the path of the bad weather. CARol, have to agree with you about the shopping centers, can't figure the logic of that one! Beth, sounds like you are getting in some relaxing time before you move on to your next job.

I decided to go ahead and uncovered Lola yesterday. Since it's supposed to rain next week I knew it would be hard to get the cover off and then didn't want to put the cover away wet. Jim is coming on the 7th to dewinterize and do a couple of things for me so wanted her to be uncovered. Got the cover off and realized I'd forgotten about the antena and managed to snap it off. So another repair. :x Now just have to wait until it warms up so I can turn on the outside water and give her a good bath. I need to shampoo the carpet inside too but again want a few good days so I can leave the windows open. And need to do some major rearranging and getting rid of stuff I don't need or use. It'll be good to get rid of the totes in the dining room of things I didn't want to leave in her all winter! Then I have to take her in for the state inspection.

Ok, time to get the day going. No big plans, I do need to go gas up the car since I still haven't done that! I stayed home and puttered around here yesterday! So better get to it! Hope you all have a great day and travel safe

Barbie, sorry to hear about your shoulder. Joint injuries seem to just go on and on. I have to remember not to pick up a bucket of cat litter with my right arm or I will pay for it.

I'm watching the weather, waiting for a line of storms to come through so I can head out to Natchitoches. I think once it passes the weather will be ok. Sunday there is 100% chance of rain to come home in. I would wait until Monday but my son has his colonoscopy and I want to be sure he makes it to that.

I passed through the new Costco shopping center and it was a mad house. They moved Marshal's over there and opened a Home Goods. When they get all the stores open it will be crazy. I didn't even feel like stopping. A few stores have moved out of the Target shopping center. I would much rather go there. At least I can find a parking place.

I better check my list and get ready to roll.

Crud, Barbie! Did you try to lift and move that new love seat all by yourself...HMMMM???? Beth...Since you will be in AJ on Sat, will you have time to see another really good friend ;) After 2 days of wind, it is finally calmed down to a light breeze. We stayed in quite a bit on Tues because of all the blowing dust. Don't want that strange Valley Fever. I watched the 3rd Hunger Games movie. I read all of the books since I've been here. Took my morning walk with the boys. Ran into some friends, walking, so didn't do our normal route. Have no idea how far we walked, since we were yakking the whole way  Stopped to ask a fellow Iowan when they're heading back. He asked if I'd seen the news from back there. Said they busted a big prostitution ring, somewhere out near my mom  Ken has his RV wash crew here, this morning. These guys drive up from Casa Grande and they do an awesome job and reasonable! Mexican guys with a great work ethic and so pleasant. They know what they're doing. Popular here in the park. The WI GTG is looking promising. Hoping it holds together. LET'S DO THIS!!!

Just got home. Found someone to cover the rest of my shift at 10am this morning so I headed to Urgent Care. They were really busy so was there for a couple hours. They took xrays and nothing wrong with the bones but I tore some ligaments on my AC joint in my shoulder. I am off work for the next week to let it heal. Lots of Motrin in my near future! I also see a career change in my future as well. The past 6 months or so have been rough on my joints when I work a full day, especially when we are busy. I guess I need to find a desk job. Maybe back to data entry.

For now, I will have lots of time this next week to work on my autobiography which I have been neglecting lately.

My loveseat just arrived a little while ago and the box is still sitting in the hallway. Will have the maintenance man help me with it later.

Money will be pretty tight this next month with taking time off from work for this. Will have to be very careful how I spend my money. Luckily, two of the days next week are vacation days anyways that I was using up, so I get paid for those two (minus tips). I will have three days tho, without pay.

Nice sunny day here today. If it was warmer I would go sit outside for awhile. I should probably take a nap tho since I didn't get much sleep all night.

Have a good one!

Glad you got that shoulder checked out. Think you might need to take it easy longer than a week to let it heal.

A severe allergy day for me but I did make it to Montgomery - just in time for a severe thunderstorm, flash flood warning and tornado watch. Weather has finally calmed down, just some rain off and on all night, I think.

Cancelled dinner plans with husband's nephew for tonight due to weather and me not feeling good. Just realized I'm hungary, now to figure out whats left in here to eat without much effort.
