It's Saturday!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

It's Saturday!

Postby Colliemom » Sat Mar 19, 2016 6:51 am

Morning all,

Weekends here for those who are working. Nice but cold morning here. Girls are happily chewing bones in here. I'm contemplating my day. Been nursing a sore ankle this week. Somehow dislocated bone in it. Chiropractor put it back in place and it's doing much better.

Thinking of going to small home show here today and might take a ride up to modular home builder a few miles north. Just on a fact finding mission. Small RV show on docket for next month.

JudyJB, glad you got out of the desert. That's scary. Liz has certainly been having fun. Ava, can't believe your vacation is over already, but won't be long and it will be permanent like you said. Barbie getting antsy to launch kayak. You be careful girl, that water is frigid. Couple kayakers flipped in big lake this week. One managed to swim to shore, but hospitalized with severe hypothermia, other is missing. Guess everybody must be doing okay, as haven't heard from many of you, one way or other. Apparently no exciting trips or plans out there, no new rigs or possible ones, no GTG's other than the IL one in May. This is an RV site, let's get RVing :D

And with that, I shall leave you to your day. Have a nice weekend all :)

Good morning ladies,
Back in Superior, gonna sort through all the
stuff and get my car packed up to go home,
plan on going home in the am and be ready
for work on Monday. I took lots of pictures,
will get a post up on that very soon. I'm really
sunburned on my chin and nose, forehead too
but chin bothers me the most. Sun screen worked
until the last day when my hat blew off in the lake
at 50 mph. Will have to get a new one.
About time to get dressed and get busy. Y'all
have a great day, be safe.

Archery tournament on the ranch this weekend. I worked 12 hours yesterday, went home, ate something, turned to Peaches we're say we're going out one last time and only some squeaks came out. Haha. Owner heard me this morning and offered me help in the office, but one choice is the useless person. I said no if her. It's my last weekend for the season, I refuse lol. Someone else had been called. I'll gladly turn the phone over to her. Fingers crossed she can come.

Was swamped in here yesterday. I actually think it'll be boring today. Everyone here is out doing their archery thing. But my voice isn't conducive to phone calls.

Alice, sorry your vacation is coming to an end, but I think your in heaven anyway. You go girl. And take care of the burn!

I too am anxious to go RV'en. However, not in the cards for me right now. I am just sit'en around reading waiting for the knee replacement on April Fools Day. My doctor is so serious...I finally got a little smile out of him when I told him to not put the new knee in backwards!!! I put a book review in to the books section. If I really, really like a book I put it in. Just a so-so book, I don't bother. I also read other books that readers put in the section, so please continue to do so.

Woke up to a half inch of snow on the ground. Oh well, it could be worse! It is still March!
Was laying in bed when I got a call from my dad's renter. Seems my dad is into another lottery scam and he needed to go to the bank right away to get a $225 money order (delivery fee). These people were supposed to deliver his new car and $50M winnings by noon and he was in a panic to get a ride to the bank before they arrived. I called my dad and said I was on my way to pick him up to go to the bank. On the way, I called the police department and had a squad car meet me at my dads. I wanted them to sit down and explain to my dad that this was yet another scam. When I got there, my dad was very upset but did listen to the officer. Shortly after the officer left, the phone rang so I answered it. It was the scammer guy (with a very heavy accent). I told him the police were notified and we knew this was a scam and not to ever call again. The guy hung up on me. So hopefully, now, my dad will give up on these lottery scams for a little while. I know he will get suckered into another one eventually.

So I am back home and tired (emotionally). Whew! Have lots to do today tho so I need to get going on something here soon!

I won't be going out in the kayak until it warms up a bit. And I always wear my life jacket. Just planning to get it out and cleaned up and fix the cover I made for it that needs some repair. Also need to order the cross bars to put on the roof of my Jeep to strap it down to when I go camping.

Hope you all have a good day! :D

Headed west on I-8 in California on way to Anaheim. Son and family will meet me there tomorrow.

Barbie, why not get your dad's phone number changed? You could tell him phone company was having problems and had to retire his number. They could give him unlisted number which would at least slow callers down.

Judy, we already had his number changed and the new one is unlisted and private. But he must have written it down on some form he got in the mail and now he is on the "sucker" list again. We can get him a new one but it is just a matter of time before he gives it out again...
