It's Friday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

TGI Friday!

Postby BarbaraRose » Fri Mar 18, 2016 9:49 am

No one around this morning!? Will get this started today...

Cloudy and cold here with a few flurries. But it is March and we have been so spoiled with a couple of 70* days here already. Just glad the ice is officially off the lake now! Looks so nice to see water and waves out there! Gonna have to get my kayak out and cleaned up soon.

Off to work shortly, so hope you all have a wonderful, safe, dry and fun day! :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

It's Friday

Postby Othersharon » Fri Mar 18, 2016 10:05 am

Good morning everyone. It's getting late in the morning and surprised not to see anyone here yet! I'm workingbon my second cup of coffee and trying to sorta plan out my day. Like that'll work! :D SIL finally called yesterday and we did to a run down to the casino. It's such a pretty drive and I was anxious to see the lake. But it was windy and cold so I didn't venture out for a walk. All I did was follow them around and watch the action, never was even tempted to drop any money in the machines! What a place to watch people! I watched one little lady of undetermined age with her hand on the button and she fell asleep! We watched her for a bit to make sure she was okay but when a machine near her made noise she woke up and started playing again. Mixed emotions on that one! Sil used to be concerned I would be bored while they played but I think they've finally accepted that I just enjoy the watching! I just kept thinking about when the campground opens and how nice it is there to camp!

My niece is supposed to be here today for a short visit with her mom on her way to Pittsburgh so will probably spend the evening with them. So guess I'd better get something done around here. Need to vaccum the dog hair again, yet, still! Liz, sorry you had problems with your rig. But glad you were able to get it fixed. Beth, one more week end and you're off to your next adventure! Hope you can take some time to enjoy new places. Hope everyone have a good day and week end. Travel safe.

So Ava, how was your trip? Did you have fun? Didn't you meet your boyfriend's family? How did that go? Details!....

(Is it still?) Mornin' ladies!~~~

How scary for Liz with the smoke especially because of a prior RV fire. Sorry to hear your vaycay was too short Ava, but the clock is ticking for you, so that's a high note.

Saw a shooting star the A.M. around 5:30. Made the wish of retirement soon rather than later. Punk definitely earned his name this A.M. Went on a nut run (which is supposed to be 'outside play') in the bedroom. On the bed, off the bed, wait for me to move, then repeat. He was having a blast, but the bed finally got made with a STAY! Little sh _ _ ! :D

Have a good 'un ladies. Stay safe on the roads.

Here in really, really hot Yuma! Met up with my full-timing cousin and his wife. Good to get together for a few hours. They just bought a new huge Class A with four slides, so they really have more space than in their older Class A.

I had four loads of laundry to lug to the laundry room here this morning. Now I will be good for another couple of weeks. Got most of it put away, but am drying my shirts by hanging them around inside so they don't shrink. AC is going on high and barely keeping up, but I will be headed out early tomorrow morning, to one stop in California and then five days in Anaheim with son and his wife and kids. Other grandma will be stayng with me. We are hoping to do they Disney thing that we missed in January when my son ended up in the hospital in Bakersfield.

Am finally catching up with keeping hydrated. Even though I seemed to be drinking constantly last couple of days, was not urinating hardly at all, which is not good for a person like me that forms kidney stones! It will be cooler in California, I hope.

Scary to hear about the smoke. I keep a flashlight right by the door and a set of clothes I can grab if I have to get out in a hurry in the night!

Well I've now seen Pahrump, NV. Patty (pattyk) laughed at me because I had asked her earlier if it had more than two streets. Well, I found out it's far from that. Really nice temperature at 2700' as compared to Death Valley. Got to get together with Patty and her friend Pam who work kamps with Patty during the summer at Thomas Canyon outside of Elko, NV and who coincidentally was here visiting Patty at the same time. Pam's a really nice lady and I tried to encourage her to join the forum.

Tomorrow morning I'm off to Valley of Fire. Don't know quite what to expect since it will be the first day of spring break. Everybody stay safe wherever you are.
