Yes, CArol, I get that too. If someone mentions me in a post or a friend's birthday reminder. It's amazing, considering the number of people that are on Facebook, that they can keep up with all that.

A week from today I'll be free!!! I need to take the rig in for a recall and to have some possible warranty work done. That appt is next week in Tucson. I plan to spend a day at the Desert Museum. Most winters if I'm in Arizona I get there two or three times, but once will be it this year. I'll probably spend a few more days in or near Tucson. I haven't decided if I'll do my normal boondocking or splurge at Gilbert Ray. I send so many people there, but usually boondock myself. Then I'll, hopefully, be able to spend a few days with friends in Arizona City before I head up to the Phoenix area. I like to splurge there at my favorite of their county municipal parks, but it doesn't have sites available, so I'm still splurging, but at Judy's favorite one. I made reservations today. I need to contact half a dozen people to try to get together the few days I'll be there. And will definitely eat at Portillo's.

I also did my planning of my route north and intend to hit two new places for me, weather permitting. I need to make the most of my vacation time before I get to Keystone and hit the ground running again.

There is a major event here on the ranch this weekend, so I'll probably need to collapse my first day in Tucson lol.

What you gals are getting from FB is notifications. You can turn them off if you don't want them popping up in your emails by clicking on the down arrow that you hit when you want to log out. That brings up the list of options and one says Settings. If you click on that you will see Notifications. Just go with in and change your settings to off.

I actually like to be notified of posts in my email from FB, that way I don't have to go into each area and read what another person thought of that item.. That way I get use out of my email section too, goodness knows it doesn't get much else  But thanks for the info Sue, I had really never paid that much attention to all that is listed there, just in fast to shut it down.

All this talk about Facebook just reinforces my opinion to not sign-up. Yes, I miss some information from friends and family, but because Facebook continually 'improves' things, and settings have to keep being fixed, it's just not my thing. I hate that Facebook decides for you what your settings should be and you have to keep changing them.

That, plus the fact I have a boss that knows how to circumvent Facebook so some spying on employees can be done. Maybe when I retire, but no way for now.

Rosemary, I have crisscrossed back and forth across WI but there are places yet to be discovered. Am pursuing a travel guide right now, or was till I got busy with spring cleaning  I will be in MCLain State Park in August as well as VanRiper State Park. Might add WI right now that trip or do separate. Some want a fall Midwest GTG, so will have to figure it out. Linda, how long will you be there into Fall?

You are close to where I stayed at the Stevens Point South KOA on my way home from the Utah west last summer. Really nice area.

Sue, Barbie, and Eileen...I start my workamping job on May 16th and work until just after Labor Day weekend, I believe. Let's start working out a GTG, then we can post on the GTG thread 8-)

Sounds good Linda. I will be in the U.P. The first week of August, so may be a good time around there as it's a two day drive about, from here to there and I will already be part way then. I might get into a home selling, moving thing this spring, but that would be out of the way by then. I know Eileen will be in same boat.

Well, it's happening again. I got a message from AT&T that my phone will no longer work after December, 2016 because of network upgrades. This is the 4th time I will have to up grade because my phone will no longer work. I am already having problems getting a signal in areas that I didn't use to have problems. I guess Harold will have to have a new phone too and he can just barely work the phone he has.

Wow on the AT&T phone issues. I've been with Verizon I think close to 10 years and have never been told that. Only on 3 rd phone. First kept a few years then wanted my first smart phone, which I kept about 6 years, now on iPhone that is a bit over 2 years with no problems.

I have AT&T because there is something different in the iPhones that Verizon sell and the original Apple ones. The reason has zipped from my mind at the moment :? But until I bought DH an iPhone he was also barely able to use one. I think the older phones were really difficult and now that most people text the old ones are a nightmare for that.
My girlfriend who has one of the older style flip phones lost it, she was pretty sure at a restaurant. They kept calling the phone but no one answered, finally her daughter went back and asked. They said yes, they had the phone but no one could figure out how to answer it.

That's pretty funny BJ. Reminds me of the AFV clip of a kid standing by a pay phone and he had no clue what it was.

That's funny BJ. That would be me with the new flat phones. The reason this has happened to me is because I keep a phone as long as I can and have never upgraded just because something new came out. I had a bag phone as long as it would work. That would drive my friends crazy because they couldn't call me in the mall when we were shopping. The phone I have now is the third one of the same model. I liked the phone I had and when it would break I would order one just like it used online. It was getting hard to find mobile chargers for it. Both of my sons have a spare phone that I can have when I decide to change over. I don't know what I'm going to do about Harold's phone. I haven't looked to see if he got that message or not. His phone isn't as old as mine so maybe it will still work.

I was up in the Chicago 'burbs last week to be with my brother after his wife died.
I met a friend at Portillo's and excited I was to do it!

Believe it or not, I was disappointed.
It wasn't as delicious as I remember.
It was good, but not that mouth-watering good that I had for it in the past.

When was the last time you had one?
Let us know what you think!

I have a dumb phone that's probably 6-7 years old! In fact yesterday after about a two hour group text fest with some high school friends trying to figure out where and when to meet for lunch next Tuesday I had decided that I was going to go to the ATT store in Wagner and update today. But I think they might have to add-on a fourth grader to teach me how to run the darn thing.
My mind works like lightning...one brilliant flash and it's gone.
