Happy St. Patrick's Day ladies!!

I've got my green on (and shamrocks and pot's-o-gold). Not much on agenda today, just too many meetings and not enough work time. I think all we do nowadays is have meetings.

Pat (dpf) ~ forgot to post about Bronc's pics the other day. I have a pair of tan show chaps that he'd probably grow into by 8-10 yrs of age. Want them? Wonder if there'd be a way to cut them down, and then add the length back later when he grows, and grows and grows.

Cooler than the other day, but definitely less windy than yesterday.

Not much else. Have a good day ladies and stay safe on the roads.

Happy St. Patrick's Day, Cheryl and all who follow,

Yes, meetings seem to be the thing these days. Have a working friend in same position, meetings, meetings...

Lunch with Louise got cancelled yesterday, so we will try again later. Poor lady woke up under the weather yesterday morning :|

Off to my 6 week Chiropractor appt., bank, store and Home Depot before heading home. Finishing up house stuff today. Had a bit of rain/snow early this morning, but only skiffed the grass in a few places.

Off to the races here. Have a nice day everyone ;)

Good morning all. Not much happening here! Did some running yesterday and waiting for a call from SIL now to see if we are going to take a jaunt down to the casino today. She said last night they wanted to go and would call to let me know if she feels up to it, still waiting! I'm not into giving up my money but it's fun to watch people. And it is a pretty location, if it's not to wet I can take a walk around part of the lake.

Been trying to catch up with all the posts from the last several days. Mitch so sorry to hear about your pup. It's never easy. Sandi, was glad to hear you got your continuance. I was thinking about you and sending positive thoughts to you. And Judi, just saw about your adventure yesterday, that had to be scarey! As you said, lesson learned. Loved the pic of Bronc in his chaps! He's such a cutie! I'm sure I've missed something but that's what I remember right now!

Well, I see the garbage just got picked up so better go get my can so it doesn't end up in the road. Just a light wind now but supposed to blow harder later. Hope it doesn't get to cold in the next few days, my daffies are budding and they may get their noses nipped! But they are calling for some cold and light snow! Spring in PA! Hope you all have a good day and travel safe.

I need to find my green shirt. I guess I could wear the St Patrick shirt I bought at Walmart for my trip next week. The theme for the rally is "Luck of the Irish". The rally is Easter weekend so don't know why it isn't Easter theme.

The road is wet so it rained sometime this morning. I looked at the radar and there is just a small area of green but it is over us. The Louisiana Belles are suppose to be camping at the state park by me this weekend but wonder how many will cancel. There is a chance of rain thru Saturday and it's going to cool off some.

When I was in high school the riding club would make chaps out of leather look vinyl just for riding in parades. A lot cheaper than the leather for a kid that grows so fast.

Yesterday afternoon late one of Harold's riding friends called to tell him that he thinks a cow broke his leg and someone was bringing him to the ER. We never did hear what the outcome was. Knowing how the ER works, he was probably there half the night just to get an x-ray. Harold has gone off to see if he needed to feed for him. I just hope one of these guys doesn't get Harold hurt.

And a Happy 2nd Birthday to my RV today. Paperwork was finalized and I took residence on St Patrick's Day two years ago. I still sometimes look and expect to see my old rig. Minnie is going in for a recall next week and a couple things I want them to look at. So far I'm as happy now on my decision for this rig as when I made it.

I hope everyone is enjoying themselves. I'm so looking forward to getting back on the road next week!!

And a Happy St. Patrick's Day to all ye pretty lassies! Finishing touches today in preparation for realtor coming this afternoon. Hoping to find out her recommendation for pricing, listing date, etc. is all good. Exhausting to go through everything and decide what to keep, what to give away, what to sell at yard sale, etc., as I know many of you have done over the past few years. We've made 4 trips to Goodwill, 2 to Half-Price books, 3 to dry cleaners with hangers for recycling, 1 to grocery store to recycle plastic bags, and we're not done yet.
Those of you on the road: be safe, and stop driving before ye tip a glass to the old sinner himself, St. Paddy!

Morning everyone! Happy Saint Patrick's Day! I have a corned beef to go in pressure cooker later with cabbage, potatoes, onions and carrots. A green jello, cool whip, cottage cheese and pineapple salad/dessert. Gotta find my green shirt for after my shower. All is pretty good here, believe it or not! No current crisis to deal with. Hope all are having happy travels, and staying safe. Happy Anniversary to Beth and your new rig.

Happy St Patricks Day.
Looks like we might be in for a wet weekend and and a few more nights in the 40s - thought I'd packed the heater and sweat suits away for last time but not so.
Somewhere between St Cloud and Ocala, I lost the cover for my porch light. Had an e-mail from TriAM (local RV dealer) that they were having Open House and serving free hot dogs and drinks. Steve, Irmi and I decided it would be a good day to go buy new light cover and take advantage of the free hot dogs so off we went. Mission failed on two counts - they did not have the right cover for my light and the FL office Open House does not start until tomorrow; it was their TN office that started Open House today.
Since we were already out and near a favorite sandwich bar we splurged on lunch there. Irmi stuck to her new eating plan with a giant salad but Steve and I had sandwiches.

Stressful day for me today. I enjoyed 3 beautiful days hiking and kayaking in the Prescott, AZ area, but when I got ready to leave this morning, the RV wouldn't start. I've had intermittent issues with that related to the after-market alarm system that was on my RV when I bought it. It was locking out the ignition and/or draining my battery. It took me about 45 minutes to disarm the alarm system and then jump the battery. I stopped at an Autozone and bought a new engine battery. I called the manufacturer of the alarm system and he gave me 3 numbers of authorized dealers on my route. The first one was out of business, the second had no idea what I was talking about, but the 3rd one, BINGO! A dealer in Bullhead City that used to install the system (they no longer make them) and would uninstall it for me. After he finished, my backup camera didn't work....after he reconnected that and before I left his business the RV started to fill with smoke! He found another loose wire under the dash that caused that. So I'm camping in a PA park just 5 miles from his business in case anything else happens before I move on tomorrow. Sorry for the long story, but I had to tell someone. Resting now.

Liz, I am so sorry for the issues you've been having and hope everything is taken of. Steve & I have been having our share of things happening as well. We've also been having starting issues since we bought our new Tuscany, and only this week finally had two new chassis batteries and a solenoid installed. Between you and I, hopefully this will be the last of the problems.

Sarah is here and we've had a great time spending time with her. Sarah is parked right next to us and we've taken her to a couple of our favorite eateries. Not sure what the next couple days will bring, other than rainy weather. I need to complete the paperwork for our accountant to do our taxes...not my favorite time of the year.

Safe travels to those on the road and hope those that are under the weather feel better soon.

I'm with you, too, Liz and Irmi. I was checking my house batteries today. One looked good, the other looked like it was corroding at the terminals. I cleaned it, but don't feel good about it, so will probably be replacing both this week. Them I was checking the air in my tires. Car good, all the RV tires needed about 5 lbs. I borrowed a compressor and instead of filling the tires, it took air out. I caught that right away and called the person I borrowed it from who came right over and went to another tie and did the same. Yikes. Now two tires are 10- 15 lbs down. There's a good compressor on property, so I'll drive to it before leaving on Monday and, hopefully, get all the tires properly filled. The tire extenders the dealer put on suck which I've always known, but today made that more of an issue so will find a tire place to get better ones.

I'm nervous about the battery, as I know they can cause fires. I totally understand you staying close to make sure all is good, Liz.

Sorry you had problems with your alarm system. Anything that smokes is scary. There is a local place that supposedly sells the system that my motorhome has and they have been less than helpful. They never would return my calls. The case for the remote broke and I wanted another one. I ended up finding it on the internet but I'm afraid I will be up the creek if it breaks again. It's 14 years old and probably way out of date.

When I was coming home from AZ I stopped in Pahrump, NV for gas. Then the van wouldn't start; just gave one click.
got towed (van and cargo trailer) to Chevy dealer. Bad battery and bad starter. Spent the night there in the van. If you ever have vehicle trouble in Pahrump be sure to go to them. They were fantastic! Went right to work on checking things out and took me to NAPA where I got a new battery in exchange for the 5mo. old one that had gone bad. The shop manager called around for the quickest delivery and best price on a starter, plus he gave me a discount on the labor. The gal in the office was concerned about me until I told her the van was set up for camping. Great people and pet friendly.

I moved on from Death Valley. Too hot for boondocking as far as I was concerned. And how come I seem to be the only person who didn't know Scotty's Castle was closed because the road washed out in heavy rains last October?? That was the main reason for going. Oh well, we're now in Pahrump, NV visiting Patty (pattyk) through tomorrow. Then on to Valley of Fire.

Marda, I have been expecting you in Salome - you came and went?!?

Sandi, I had no idea you couldn't get to Scotty's Castle! Bummer. For various reasons, I guess we should all learn to call ahead for these things. Wish I could join you at Valley of Fire - want to go there again one day.

Liz, I would really like to know why/how that alarm system worked the way it did!! Sure caused you enough headache!

I can chime in on the battery deal - I replaced the camper batteries after leaving Organ Pipe.

After today, I am ready for a break from RZR riding - think it will be a 3-day 'weekend'. Driving the SS to Havasu tomorrow and then a couple days of chores and projects.
