Where is everyone this Wednesday?

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Where is everyone this Wednesday?

Postby carolb » Wed Mar 16, 2016 9:23 am

Gmorning all :)

Maybe some easterner opening as I write this? Not even that early here in AZ, but I'll be on my way to my former neighbor's shortly to resume yard work, so this will be short.

Doggie Dental is out of Temecula, CA. Some licensing issue and/or disgruntled AZvets who want teeth cleaning business/profits, so he's not allowed to practice in AZ anymore for the Q visitors. I'm just so glad I caught him on his last Blythe, CA visit--he does only 3 visits a year. Maybe google for something in your area for non-anesthesia cleaning?

Weather, possible flooding, microbursts for some of you? Y'all be safe! Have a great day 8-)

Morning Carolb and all,

You just got in ahead of me here Carol. Was up early but doing some other things. Am leaving in a bit to meet Louise (HavingFunNow) for lunch. 90 mile drive roughly, but it's a midway point for both of us.

Wet, windy day here today. Guess we might see a little of the white stuf mixed in tonight  but it's still March in the north. Big snow is h added across northern MN, WI and western U.P.

Carol, you are enjoying helping others so much, I might recruit you if I decide to sell and buy that other house. Actually I may need a Moving/Painting GTG here. Let's see, beer, pizza.........

Okay, short and sweet this morning. Hope none suffered any damage from storms. Have a nice day :)

A quick Good Morning!

Carolb and Sue, you have too much energy!! :)

Great shopping trip yesterday. Today we are headed to Camp Bouse where a secret weapon was developed for WWII. They didn't get it done before the war ended however. I'll have to refresh my memory on what it was suppose to do. (Hate not remembering things) If you were assigned to this camp, you didn't leave due to the secrecy. We will also cross Tank Pass where Patton was in charge of military tank exercises.

Here's the public link to photo on FB of the sheep we saw the other day.

Make it a great day!

Good morning Everbody from beautiful Darien, GA. I'm spending a few days here with Lori and Ernie. It's so good to see them again in their southern home. Yesterday we ate at Mudcat Charlie's on a salt river nearby and Martha, you know what I chose; fried oysters! But the meal ended with Fanny Kemble After Dinner Drink. I don't know who Miss Fanny was/is, but she makes a decadent desert drink. The required photo was taken and I'll send it along to Beth for posting.
Sarah, I'm sorry I wasn't able to meet up with you and Irmi and Steve, but my trip to the Villages broke my heart. It was so sad to be there without Nancy. Her husband, Danny, is doing okay, but it's tough. Enjoy today. Peggy

Yay! It looks like today will be officially Ice Out on Lake Minnetonka! The second earliest ice-out on record! Average date is April 13th, so almost a month early! Yay! Time to get the kayak cleaned up and ready!
It rained yesterday which really weakened the ice a lot and now today is super windy (30+ mph) so that is blowing the ice all over breaking it up quickly. Just saw the Water Patrol go out in their boat to check the lake. When they can go thru all the channels into every bay (lots of them!) without hitting ice, they declare the ice officially out. For those of you not familiar with Lake Minnetonka, it is a lot of bays connected by channels and covers about 23 square miles...

Have the day off so I need to get my place cleaned up and do laundry, etc.

Was getting worried yesterday. Got an e-mail from the gal who adopted Sophie and she was frustrated and having a lot of issues with Sophie getting into and onto things and not listening to her to get down, etc. But today, she sent me an email saying she seems to be calming down and is getting along pretty well with her other cat already. So am keeping my fingers crossed! Sophie is very stubborn and defiant at times. Just hoping her sweetness outweighs her issues with this gal.

Hope you all have a good day! :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Long past morning but wanted to share my early morning view. Was up before daylight. Actually got all my coffee absorbed in time to join Irmi's yoga class.
Peggy - I too am sorry we were not able to work out a time to meet before you had to leave. Think I reached the Ocala area a few hours after you left.

I went to the doctor with my younger son and just got home. I went mostly to make sure he went. I'm tired of hearing him complain about being sick. They scheduled him for a colonoscopy in a couple of weeks. He's a little young to start that but we have colon cancer in the family and he has been having problems for a while. Reminds me of his Uncle Robert who won't go to the doctor.

The new Costco opens tomorrow and I made the mistake of passing by there. Talk about a traffic jam. I doubt that I will get a card since I have a Sam's card. It ticks me off that I have to pay for a membership to shop at a store. The only reason I keep the Sam's card is because they have the best meat. You're certainly not saving any money there.

Barbie, that lake looks like a good place to get lost. Kind of like our swamps and canals down here. I hope Sophie doesn't get herself kicked out of her new home. The only cat I was ever afraid of was a Siamese a friend had when I was a kid. I couldn't sit in a chair or that cat would bit me on the legs. I have to say that cat was out of control. Harold has a whip that all he has to do is pick it up and Frosty gets away from what ever he is doing.

Peggy, glad you get to visit with Lori and Ernie. How do the East Coast oysters compare to Shuck's.
