Ides of March

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Ides of March

Postby Colliemom » Tue Mar 15, 2016 6:04 am

Morning,

It's Tuesday, the Ides of March, as if I need to tell you ;) Reached the halfway point of March and now on the way to spring. Up here, if we get to this point and no snowstorms in sight, we know we are pretty much done with winter. Not to say we might not have a bit more snow yet even to the end of April, but it won't last. It's gone now except for drifted areas and piles.

Cheryl, you weren't seeing things before you had your coffee. My IPad loves to make it's own words. Amazes me, the words it can change to in a normal sentence.

Will be finishing some touch up painting in the house here and also some wood trim work. I have a listing price on my house now, but have not listed as yet. Am waiting for some information and also to se if anything else in neighborhood might pop up on the market. No rush.

Have a nice day all.

Good Morning Everyone !!! Sunday I went out to a nearby CG and stayed overnight. No cell or net out there, so was feeling quite deprived by the time I got back in town :D Sure accomplished a lot towards what I needed and wanted to do as far as organizing and cleaning my home though. I'm back at my DD's, plans are totally jello and messed up here.

I've been reading of all that happened while I was out in the countryside. Some very bad things and I'm so sorry for those suffering through some of these things. Mitch, her little beloved Beast, Sandi and the so unfair situation she has to deal with all over again. Prayers for you both. I'm sure others might be dealing with problems too I just haven't caught up with all of the news yet.

Well the family just left here, what a hassle all getting out for the day, I feel wore out already :D Of course, I've been up since before 5, laid there for awhile and just got up and enjoyed my coffee in the peace and quiet :) Actually my body felt it was 6 and past time to be up :o

Not sure what the day will bring, but I need to make an appointment to have oil and filter changed in generator and also dr app for dr for meds , thinking of making it for the afternoon of the 4th have one early morning with a dr. might as well make it an all dr day and then I can get headed north. Maybe not to far with needing these things done for rv. but its getting hot down here ladies, and I am feeling it!!! My winter has not been what I had hoped or from time to time planned, I let others lead me astray, like drs., and family members etc :D

Well onward with the day, and see what I can get into :D Wishing you all a happy, healthy and Safe Day, whatever you do enjoy !!!

Mornin' Sue, Carol and all that follow ~~~

And here I thought Sue was listening to music just for RVers  T-storms expected here later today, and heard a forecast for some possible snow on the weekend.

I'm not on Facebook, (see campfire), but sorry something is going on with Mitch's beast (((hugs))). Nice you got away for a bit Carol, even during retirement I'm sure I'd still need some alone time too.

Have a good day ladies & stay safe on the roads.

Just a quick good morning.
I'm behind on what is happening with everyone but wishing all the best.
Moving day again for me. Heading for the Ocala area today on the first major jump to the north toward home.
Found out last night there was a big microburst in Huntsville near my home and one of the antique shops where I have booths. Know there were a lot of signs blown down and a some roofs damaged but have not been able to find out any more info yet.
Have really enjoyed the past couple of days visiting with Linda and Sandy. Will post a couple of photos in gtg section before I finish packing up to get on the road.

Good morning gals!
Foggy and warm here today. Some really interesting birds singing this morning. Not sure what they are but haven't heard those songs before. Very pretty to wake up to. Now I think I hear a robin! A few brief thunderstorms overnight too so that was fun to watch and listen to! Our first of the season.

I also missed the news of Mitch's dog. Anyone have details??

Lola is one happy cat! I swear she is smiling! She has even spent more time giving herself a bath and her fur is really nice and soft and clean now. I was worried about her before because her fur wasn't very healthy looking. She is my #1 priority. No more pets for me now.

I had decided a few months ago to try and find a different golf league this summer. The one I have been on is very clicky and I never felt like I fit in. It is also very expensive and the money goes for gifts for the banquet at the end of the year which consists of things I have no interest in, like expensive coach bags, bottles of wine and accessories, and other pricy things I don't want or need. I found a new league closer to home yesterday that is very informal (no National Golf League handicap dues, no expensive banquets, etc) and only $30 to join. I am going to sign up for that one and see how that goes.

Had a fun time at my nephew, Jeff's and his wife's baby shower on Sunday. Rode down to Mankato with my SisIL (the nice one) and we had a really nice, fun conversation there and back. I think we got to know each other a little better too. The shower was at the parents of the mom-to-be. She and her family are so nice and fun to be around! Her mom is great! My other SIL (the crazy one and mom of Jeff) always said bad things about her and the family, but when I met them at the bridal shower a few years ago I was so surprised! However, that SIL hates everyone and is very critical and judgmental about everyone. (and she has the masters degree in psychology! Go figure!). She is also the one who is very verbally abusive to my dad. I try not to be around her much. She is a real downer.

Anyways, I better get ready for work. Have a great day! :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Hope you had a good morning! I have to be quiet today so I guess it’s a good time to finally stop in for a chat. Sean finished a 7p-7a shift at the hospital and he has a contractor doing some work at his house so he’s sleeping here before he has to leave for work again. I already have gone uptown and had coffee with the group of ladies who gather everyday…..usually only do that about once a week. Picked up the mail…ordered a Bambi DVD for Bronc for Easter off Ebay and received two of them! My order history shows only an order for one was placed and charged. So I’m going to have to contact the seller. Chances are they’ll tell me to keep it because it’s more of a hassle/expense for them to issue the call tag. If they do I’ll give the extra to Missy for her grandchildren. I’ve been giving him the Disney Classics for Valentines, Easter, Halloween gifts rather than candy. The boys loved them when they were little and I know it always gave me about 60 minutes to accomplish something! Can usually pick up new ones for around $8-10.00 on Ebay. DH says they’re probably so “hot” they’ll burn up the DVD player.

Just had a really nice weekend. My sister was here and we had Bronc’s 2nd birthday party at the farm on Saturday. We made the cake while we watched both our high school alma mater and also the local girls basketball teams playing in the state tournament. Well basically my sister did the lion’s share of the decorating….I’m just not into cake decorating. I did tint the coconut and color some of the frosting.

Bronc and Django had their first oops…something spooked Django and Bronc hit the ground and his face took the brunt of the damage. He bounced right back and was riding again on Sunday. A high school boy who works for Ryan on weekends made the chaps Bronc is wearing for his present. The tooling on the belt and feather is just beautiful and the chaps are buttery soft leather. Kole didn’t realize how much Bronc had grown so he says they are chinks not chaps. The inflatable bull we gave him was a hit. Grandpa still has to make the bull pen. Plus he received a lasso…we think Ashley will need to learn to do some roping with it so she can catch him this summer.

So sad to hear about Mitch’s Abby. So many of our furbabies have gone to the Rainbow Bridge in the last year. Sandy, praying that the courts go your way. Do you have any way of finding out what the disciplinary record of the inmate has been while he has been incarcerated? Often a good way of determining what his recidivism chances would be.

The grass is greening up here. We’ve had some gorgeous weather but could certainly use some rain. It sprinkled enough last night to wet the patio. There was a grass fire on Saturday about 20 miles from us and about 320 acres of land burned. Luckily no livestock or structures were affected. I’m to the point that I’d even take a good March blizzard with wet heavy snow that melts in a couple days.

Well…I’d better find another quiet activity because I’ve probably bored all of you to death. Have a good day.
My mind works like lightning...one brilliant flash and it's gone.

Pat, be careful what you wish for, parts of Louisiana are still flooded. We only got about 3 to 4 inches over several days. Some places in North Louisiana got 18 inches. And all that water is headed South. Thank goodness the river by us doesn't connect to one of the major rivers. The wind has picked up here and we are suppose to get more rain starting tomorrow.

Poor Bronc, that boy needs some stirrups. His cake is very cute. I was around my grandson when he was into the Lion King. I can't tell you how many times we watched it. I can still recognize the music.

The guy has had 4 incidences but he wasn't charged apparently: assault on another inmate; evading lockup; battery on another inmate; encouraging Muslim prisoners to fight other groups. These occurred between 2006 and September, 2010. The idiot DA says they will only look at the last five years in which case he will look pretty good. I don't know whether that's true or not. I believe he's extremely dangerous.
