It's been a crazy day. Woke up to bright sun. From there to tornado watch, and then on to tornado warning. Hope any near storms fared well. I'm going to sit here and try to warm up. I've been chilled all evening....guess it's the dampness. Don't even want a beer or anything....just something to help the chill! So come on out cause there's plenty of beer left from last night.

Just stirring up the embers and putting some wood on. can't sit long. will come to sit down longer tonight if the errands get done. All the running may need a little peaceful sitting after...... I just got the invite from the daughter for a kayaking camping weekend in the end of June in NC. I think it is their (Kate and Lucas) way of letting both families get together, meet each other and all their camping, rock climbing, kayaking friends. I am not sure she is really related ?....no one would have ever guessed that she would be the athletic one. She never played sports, etc. ......but it is all good now and she loves being in the out of doors....

All is quite around my house finally. Just came to enjoy the fire for a few minutes. Having 5 extra adults, a 10 year old and a new baby (6 weeks) for five days under one roof can take its toll when you are accustom to living alone. Good to see everyone and we had pleasant visit in spite of the bad weather. Visitors were my late husband's brother and his family (his wife, 2 grown children + 2 grand children). Nicky was even on good behavior; actually he got along fine with the 10 year old boy but barked a lot at my brother-in-law the first day.
It will take me a week to get all the sheets, towels, and dishes washed and back into place (there is a lot of it but I'm also slow and have other things to take care of first). I got the garbage and recycle out but decided other chores could wait. Time to relax a bit.
Leaving a few pieces of fresh fruit and half of a pudding cake for snacks; just about everything else was eaten past few days. Still no dry wood for fire from here. Do have one of those little sparkle logs to add for color and a few pine cones left from what I dried at Christmas, maybe they will still add a fresh smell to the air.
Rain has started again; a nice gentle one for now but forecast for storms before morning - more wind, rain, and hail.
The only major handicap in life is a bad attitude!

I just stopped by for a cup of hot chocolate and to just enjoy the fire for a bit. I threw on a few pieces of wood and stirred it a little. It is pretty peaceful right now and I think I might just doze off for a few min. sitting here listening to the crackles!! Sure love a good campfire!!

Too late to raid the morning kitchen. Hope Ava's sinuses start behaving. Soosie needs to go back to work tomorrow so she can rest up from all the vacationing.... And from the morning menu I definitely need to put the Blue Marlin on my stopping list....it all sounds so good..... I need to get new pup pictures taken if I can stay awake long enough. They have eyes now. Had to stop after work and drop my car off to have the windshield wipers fixed. They would not move at all this morning. Luckily it stopped spitting at me but i can't count on dry weather.... Don't want to spent $$$$ on the car but, it isn't a choice :( Need to finish up some of my chores, pack my lunch for tomorrow and get ready for bed. And there is a puppy wiggling in my lap :)

PICTURES, Tina! They will be all grown up by the time we get to see them again!

Fire feels very good here this morning, as it's only 18 degrees out there! I have left a few logs to keep it going.

Lips are sealed, Fernie???? No fair! No sealed lips allowed on here! We wanna know ALL!!!

Happy Tuesday, y'all!

Sorry but there is a Flamingo rule at out gtgs. What happens in Crossville, stays in Crossville or wherever the gtg was held!!! ROFL We can't have the whole world know our secrets but that doesn't mean we can't tease them a little!!! Grabbing a cold one to celebrate.

Lori--can you count for me. I gotta head to the shower!! LOL I am flying to Az. today and and I will help Bash load up and head to Tn. in a couple days. Have to be back here in Texas the 25th. Mary's radiation should finish around April 29th and I have told her I can only stay till the middle of May. Don't know what will happen then. She thinks she will be able to stay by herself.

Bash mentioned last night she is thinking about taking the rv back to Tn. this trip. That would mean both of us would be driving. I would probably drive the car and trailer and she would drive the rv. We have to take the trailer to take her scooter home and besides, she broke her tow bar somehow. Didn't ask how!! ROFL!!! I think it was what she did!!!

Put some more dry wood under the shelter. Remember it is there. We aren't about to run out of dry wood. To many of us looking out and thinking ahead and we are good. (There is so little opportunity to be perfect in life....) Got the pup pics loaded and posted. Photobucket works for me but it just take so long to up load. Then maybe I don't know enough and somehow make more work for myself :) Any body hear from Echo? Between the moving and the blood pressure.....no stress there. Just want to know that she hasn't been completely swamped by everything. Am expecting some puppy visitors in the next few days. Blondie has relaxes about the pups as the get older. Hey, I need to write that last not so pretty IRS check and get it ready for the mail, sigh. Good thing I decided to work this seasonal thing....

Just wanted to stop in and warm up a little. It's chilly this moring in the Nashville area. Countdown to my closing on April 21, everything is a go. I thought I had done such a fine job getting rid of so much stuff and now that it's down to the wire, I still have a lot. But it's nothing but a "thang" and it will all work out.

Be careful, Fernie.

have come to sit and warm my toes, I feel better, although I still hurt and am walking
slowly so as not to hurt myself. Daughter was over and brought some groceries and
we talked. If I'm not better tomorrow she will come and take me to the doctor. Been
taking the muscle relaxers and pain pills all day, anti-inflamatories and heat. Seems
to be helping or else the pain pills have kicked in and I just don't care. I think
the part that bothers me the most is not being able to take care of my little dogs
the way they are accustomed to. I'll have to make it up to them later on when I am
more mobile. For now I'm just gonna have a soda, no booze since I'm taking the pain
pills cause that could be a bad combination. I'll check back in later.

How exciting to be so close......I am thinking about the pictures that get taken on the first day of kindergarten....the picture of the first day of moving on to be a full-timer...... This not drinking pop thing is working okay, but I find myself munching though the afternoon of scoring at work. I really was never meant to sit in a chair, any chair, that much time. I keep reminding myself, it will only last through the end of June. I think the saying is "Make hay while the sun is shinning." Pay bill, pay bills, pay bills.....it will all be good....The butt will recover from the chair sitting eventually. The campfire is great to take off the spring chill. Only one s'more and I need to get ready for bed. Was up to late last night maybe the chair at work would feel better....with a more rested body...I got to go find one of those...
