Tuesday, March 8th

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Gee, where are some of our other regular MC openers? Guess they must all be busy. Donna I know has been doing things with Sarah. Carolb is lost in the desert someplace

Just finished up some bacon and eggs here, along with a bowl of blackberries. So guess the rest of you will have to fix your own. I'm going to start back into the spring cleaning again after a two day hiatus. Weather is going to be a little wet for next couple of days. It was so nice here yesterday, in the low 60's, that I opened my patio door for just a little while and let the fresh air in. Snow is going down, slow but sure. This is also Primary Election Day for Michigan, so will be heading to the polls as well.

Have a nice day everyone, keep your traveling plans rolling if you are making any. Heads up on weather in Southeast again, keep safe. Enjoy the day.

Mornin' Sue and all that follow ~~~

Just been hanging back and reading mostly Sue. Mom was a strong believer in kids being seen and not heard so unless I have another stupid newbie question (see Giant City SP GTG :? ) or furkid stuff, I'm pretty quiet.

Love to see the mini-GTG pics and am looking forward to May so I can get out there. Still haven't figured out what I'm doing the weekend Colt get dewinterized, the SPs I've been looking at here are pretty much walk-in right now, but unless I have one of my semi-driver teachers with me, I'm a little worried if I can't pic my site ahead of time. Hopefully I'll get over this hump sometime this summer with more backup practice.

Well, not much else. Have a good day everyone and stay safe on the roads.

Good morning ladies
Been reading and keeping caught up on you girls, just been busy
around here in Superior getting things ready for the trip.Turned out
the batteries drained on the boat. Somebody left a switch on and when
we went to Roosevelt lake the other day for me to have driving practice, well
it wouldn't start. Will check today and verify the batteries are ok or
need to replace. Did a bunch of shopping yesterday in town and will
do some packing today. Bill says camp driveway is still here for my
friends, its just a little east of the original :D Also got in the motor
home yesterday and checked it out, we have future trips planned
with that too. Life has certainly changed for Maggie and I, we are
very spoiled. Will spend the rest of the week preparing for the trip,
and now know we pull out Sunday morning, driving straight through.
About time I got dressed I guess. Y'all have a great day and be safe.

Good Morning, It is bright and sunny here for now, rain coming which of course means more mud but for now birds are singing, pear tree is starting to bloom and it is around 65! I'm wanting to get Elsie out but since I didn't have to winterized her think it may be too early. My brother said I need to have tie rods checked before I do much driving :(
Ava I am so happy for you, it sounds like you found a good companion. So nice when you enjoy the same things.

Good morning! :D
We never got below 60* last night! 62* right now! Had the windows open all night. So nice to get that fresh air! Never did get our thunderstorms overnight but looks like it did rain a bit.

Ava, did Bill buy that RV? Sounds like your retirement is gonna be even better than you had planned! You go girl!

Off to work here shortly. Have tomorrow off tho. No plans yet but maybe work on some projects I have been putting off.

Have a great day!

Peggy headed East this morning to get ahead of the bad weather. It is a little breezy this morning but not too bad. They are saying we could get 6 inches of rain. It usually goes North of us but some of it will be coming off the Gulf. The weather channel is showing tornado damage in Texas already.

I finally went for my check up yesterday. I liked that doctor better this time. I have gained 10 pounds in three years so I went for my walk this morning to get it in before the rain. Hope that gives me incentive to exercise more. I even got my new rose bush planted.

Ava, welcome to the world of boats. lol I carry a battery charger in my motorhome because I once pulled a boat. They start fine at home but get them to the lake and they won't start. Then there is the time you start launching and find out the plug is not in. Kind of like RVing, it's always something.

You are right, Martha, it's always something. Got only a quick minute. Drove the long way out to Gilbert Ray campground here yesterday way out in the desert. Had to avoid Davis Pass because vehicle was so long. Filled up water tank and got all set up in site and then noticed a small slit in one tire!! :x

So called around to find someone with a tire and am headed there now. Nothing poking through slit, so I think it is driveable--probably been driving on it for a while, but do not like taking chances. Luckily it is an outside rear dually. Will have tire shop check all tired and make sure pressures are correct, but it is a real pain to have to drive all the way back to Tucson to do this. Would have been a lot easier if I had noticed it BEFORE I got here, but it is so small you really have to look for it.

And as they say, could have been worse. Just really hate to keep spending money on this rig.

Have a good day, everyone!!

Mornin' again (just barely).

Just ate my lunch outside since it's so nice today and saw a large group of cranes. Does anyone know if sand hill cranes sound like whooping cranes? Or is their call distinctly different. I think they were were whooping cranes because I could see some white, and aren't sand hill greyish?

The motor home is one he had, class A Winnebago brave 97, still in good shape.
We're gonna use it for awhile until I get mine.

Take it easy, Nikki. It took me a full two weeks of resting to get my cough settled down.
