Sleep in Sunday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Sleep in Sunday

Is everyone sleeping in today? Can't believe I'm the only one up and about. First time this west coastie had been first to say Good Morning! Rainy today and tomorrow they say for us. We need the rain badly! Good day to read.

Morning Evie,

Bet it feels great to be the first "westie" to post this morning. Us easterners always are on early due to time differences. And yes, I see rain for CA, a lot of it according to Weather Channel. I was up early here and could have posted but decided to let it go and let somebody else do it for a change. And this was also church morning. Just got home from mass, so thought I would stop and check in. Cloudy with a good wind blowing today. Going to keep things from melting a whole lot.

Going to be a laid back day today I think. Halfway through house on the cleaning and being it's already nearing noon here, don't feel ike starting. Will be walking time for the girls and I later anyway and I have to make a house check on a place I check out periodically.

Judy, glad to hear your getting better a little more everyday. Martha, been there done that with the hip issue. Fortunately in my case it was pelvis out of place. My Chiropractor took care of that. Actually it has happened about 3 times. So far knock on wood, no issues in the past year.

Nothing else doing here. so going to wish you all a nice day and go read the paper.

Woohoo! It’s 65* and supposed to get up to 72*…I have the patio door and windows open! Love it. Weather is projected to be good all week. Maybe I’ll be able to get motivated because I’ve been a real slug lately. Woke up this morning about 4:30 and couldn’t get back to sleep so I played solitaire for a while, made a couple greeting cards that I need then decided to go lay down and read. I fell back to sleep and slept until 9:30! My sleep cycle is really screwed up. But I have accomplished some things since I got up. There has been mention of another four wheeling escapade today but I think I’ll pass. It’s so dusty and windy that I don’t want to end up with another bout with my allergies. Hopefully we’ll get some moisture in the form of rain and not snow!

Just realized that daylight savings time starts next Sunday.

Have a good day everyone!

Good early afternoon gals!

Sunny warm and windy today, with a high around 60*! Yay! Supposed to be near 60 for the next two weeks! We may have a very early ice-out on the lake this year. It just takes 2 weeks of above freezing temps and some rain and wind to take out the ice, and this year the ice is a lot thinner and weaker than most years so may go out even faster! Everyone around here is anxious for that!

I didn't make it to the Moonlight Trail Walk last night. We were so swamped at work that my feet were in pain by the end of the day. No walking for me! Drove past the trail and drive-in on the way home and it looked like a really good turn out tho! Maybe next year, I will ask for that day off.

Catherine, in California, if you miss winter and the snow, it is just a couple hour drive up to the mountains where you can play in all the snow you want and then come back home and watch the sunset on the beach! So many options in Cali! Loved it out there!

Slept in late this morning but feeling more energetic so already got a few things crossed off my list and will get to the rest as soon as my breakfast settles. Need to also get out for a walk today to enjoy the warm weather!

Got my new glasses yesterday. Still not sure how I like them. They are a little big (as in the size of the lenses) but maybe I just need to get used to them. They are comfortable tho.

I have resorted to velcroing everything down in here because of the kitten! I have even velcro'd the pictures on the walls! Everything is fair game to her! At least the ferrets could only wreck things near the floor. And they didn't really wreck things as much as just drag them off and hide them! That reminds me, I need to contact their adopters about making a visit down there soon!

Hope you all have a great day exploring, reading, napping, etc!
