Sunday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Sunday

Morning all,

O'dark thirty here. Up bright eyed and bushy tailed at 5:30 a.m. Had a light breakfast and will be heading to mass later. Pups have been in and out, Miss Piper busy with her catalog ripping at the moment  Miss Molly getting her beauty sleep. Today is last day of Piper's recuperation and I know they will be so happy tomorrow when they can go out together. No more whines and cries when one is out and the other in

Had a warming trend over weekend here and melted some snow down a bit. Some rain too. Now the road is a sheet of glass ice. No walking for a while this week. Even driving it is a challenge, as about all you can do is creep along. So will start some spring cleaning. Just about done with scrapbook too.

Looks like freezers are the subject of the week. Mine's getting empty. Will be time for restock before long.

So, that's all the news from here. Cheryl, glad Punkin got his certificate. I need to work with Molly as she is still getting over excited around people and dogs. Will work with Piper when weather is better and we can get out with no ice. Have a Blessed Sunday all :)

Good morning :D
Continuing on with chores today,,,,ya, how exciting is that  Not!
Since kitty never showed back up, I cleaned off the shelf and will
bring in some of my yarn and fabric tubs. Pulled my suitcase out and
my drybag. Pulled out Maggies lifejacket and she got excited. Had to
convince her we had a couple weeks to go yet before our trip. Have
one last load of towels to wash, then I can put the washer back in the
corner and say 'laundrys done' . Few minor things to get done and
then I'll be ready for my shower and hair. After that I can kick back
and wait for the hunter to return. It will be a movie afternoon for
us.
Y'all have a great day, be safe and stay healthy.

Good morning all. I was up really early this morning too but I went back to bed! At least it's light out now! Yesterday turned out to be a beautiful sunny and warm day. I decided to go to State College after all and the temp on my car said 67! SC was busy but doable! I managed to find a frame for the painting but in talking to the gal at Michael's I decided to go back today with it and have them put it in the frame so it will be done properly. Different glass and spacers to keep the glass off the painting. I spent a couple of hours chipping all the ice on the driveway. I should have taken a break or two, I think. My right arm and hand really stiffened up to the point where I found out I couldn't even sign my name without it cramping! Guess I overdid it! But the good thing is that it's done! Yesterday was a brief glimpse of spring and I enjoyed every moment of it! :D

So another trip to SC today and then who knows what else! Tina, how close to home are you? Will any of the bad weather affect your travel? HL still going on, hope you are all having a good time. Everyone else on the road, be safe.

Good morning everyone,
from sunny & unseasonably warm Kansas.
This has been a whirlwind visist - I return to sunny California Wed night.

I've really enjoyed my time here - we've accomplished alot (fixing some things around the house), more decluttering & very productive time in the office. Have decided I probably should have an estate sale rather than just donating everything. Might need to just hire that out...

I do miss my baby Olivia - who decided to start crawling while I was here - I'm only gone 2 weeks & she just couldn't wait! Can't wait to see her & Sadie when I get back.

Sandi, your new pup is so cute!!! Just give her time & she'll fit right in.
Carolb, I was hoping we could GTG while you're on in Cali. I work during the week, but weekends are wide open - and the Huntington dog beach is great! Hope we can connect up.

Well, I'm fixing breakfast for the kids, so better go..
Later,
Catherine

My big news is that I have my first real cold in almost a year. I was more congested than usual when I went to bed and then woke up at 5:00 am with a really bad sore throat. I took a zinc lozenge and went back to sleep eventually. Then up and had a nice long phone conversation with an old friend. She keeps promising me to come camping with me, but she had a big dog, except now he has passed away from old age, so maybe she will really come see me when I am in the Florida Keys next October.

Having oatmeal for a late breakfast because it is easy on my throat. Hope this is the 24 hour type and not the 7 day type! Going to take it easy today, but have to move campgrounds tomorrow, do three loads of laundry somewhere, and buy a bunch of groceries. Luckily not too far to drive.

Be careful Judy, the flu is hitting Arizona hard. They are saying this years vaccine is more effective than last (49% v last year's under 20%) but I've seen people here just as sick who got it as who didn't. So far, I'm good and hope it stays that way.

Boring day today. I might try to sneak a load of laundry in while working... if only the two more casitas to check in do so soon!

Alice, I love the smiles that come through in your posts now.

The composition of our little group at Hardee Lakes has changed again as Donna had to leave today. We are still enjoying nightly campfires and chatting. So far the only wild life we've spotted are deer, armadillos, birds, and a gater. Think Soos got photos of gater - a big one. Time seems to be zooming by.
The house battery that was going bad got really hot and was shorting out. Had the RV Tech come back over and remove it. Also had him pick up 2 new maintenance free deep cycle batteries for me and they are now installed.
Near perfect weather day. Lot of campers came in for the weekend and most have pulled out already so we have our little area to ourselves again, nice.
The only major handicap in life is a bad attitude!

Good afternoon!

I have stayed home and made progress today! Tomorrow's ride is already set and I want to go - will ride over a couple 'mountain' passes. There have to be bighorn sheep out there somewhere! :)

Also trying to get organized to make all the motel reservation calls needed for the cross country trip - argh!

Kansas daughter posted that they got a new rescue dog yesterday to keep their Stella company - she's been sort of lost since her buddy Cooper died. Cute little black that looks like a lab.

Catherine, glad you will get back to CA to visit with Carolb! Olivia is growing up too fast? :) The Hardee Lake GTG just keeps having fun! Sarah, I just got those expensive batteries, too. Peace of mind. Sharon, can't imagine chipping ice away - I'd have to use a heat gun or a hair dryer!

Time to see what's next on the list. Hope you are all having a great day - except poor JudyJB who isn't feeling well. :(
