Good morning all! Ava, bet you're going to have a great couple of weeks when you head for TX! We are having a couple of warm days and when I looked at the front part of the driveway this morning the ice was all gone! Since the back doesn't get much sun I need to go out and work on that a bit this morning. If I open the gate for awhile that'll help, just gotta remember not to let the boys out while it's open! Mother Nature is so helpful sometimes!

I was going to go into State College today but didn't realize the Dance Thon was this week end. It brings in lots of people to town so may have to rethink that plan! I want to get a frame for a silk picture of my sister and I that I had forgotten I had! I found it when I was cleaning out the other day! My mom had it done when Dad was stationed in Japan in the early 50's so that tells you how young we were!! So maybe head the other direction and go to Altoona!

So that's about it for here! Time to go out and soak up some vitamin D! Have a great day and travel safe

Mornin' ladies ~~~

How fun planning for a vaycay Ava ~ and a longer one at that! Carol heading towards home and Tina is already on the northern course. It's been a blessing so far (knock wood) that this winter has been mild, so hitch itch and travel plans seem to be underway for a lot of us.

Punkin finished his last training day today. What a waste of time and $$, but now I at least have a certificate to send a copy to the rescue. No rose colored glasses here. He still needs work on stay & come, but with nicer weather and a couple of camping plans in place already, I'll be able to work more outside with him & distractions.

RV show yesterday with Eileen & DH was good. Not crowded at all and only had to wait to get into a couple of rigs. Saw a nice A (bright on the inside without dark wood and ceramic floor), but I really don't need one that big and I don't have $250,000+ in my back pocket :o

Not much else going on. Have a great day & stay safe on the roads.

I'm up, changed my bed and got laundry ready for tomorrow, straightened up a bit, and had some breakfast. Will be going for a bike ride today to explore this state park.

Went to Desert Botanical Gardens yesterday because it was cooler and a little cloudy, so not as uncomfortable walking around as it would have been in past week. Was looking for roadrunners and quail you usually see there, but none in sight until I went to the outdoor café for a lunch snack. The little scoundrels were running around underneath tables actually begging! Those Gambel's Quail are usually very shy and run away from you, as you know if you have ever tried to take a photo of one, so it was quite a surprise. They were practically posing for photos. Guess they have learned how to find a quick meal. I was told that they return to the rest of the gardens after the lunch crowd thins out!

I stopped for a haircut also yesterday on my way home and was running out of time, so I ran into a noodle shop. It turned out to be Vietnamese food, which I have never had. Tendon was listed as being in several dishes, so I did not know what to order. Anyone out there eat tendon? Looked it up and indeed that is what it is. Apparently is in a lot of Vietnamese soup. Anyway, I ordered another dish and was disappointed in its blandness. Maybe tomorrow I can find some Thai food, which I like much better.

And, Sue, I am still working at cleaning out my freezer by eating my way through stuff, except this morning was blueberry pancakes and sausage. I make several helpings of stuff when I cook and then freeze it. I also bought a dozen bagels at Einstein Bagels the other day, so got to work through stuff to make room before I go grocery shopping!

The local state park was having a Cracklin cooking today and I went to meet the lady that is staying at Betty's RV Park. I did't have any idea that they were going to have a crowd. It took me at least 20 minutes to get through the gate. The lady that was working the office was moving in slow motion. I had to park on the entrance road and walk to where they were cooking. They had a long table set up and you could sample the different Cracklins.

Judy, I hope you are better at thinning out your freezer than I am. Every time I make a hole someone fills it up. My son likes Vietnamese soup but I have never had any. I went to a Thai restaurant with him one time and the only thing that I thought I could eat was a crab salad. It doesn't take wildlife long to learn where the easy meals are. If we aren't carefully at the state parks around here we are dining with raccoons or armadillos.
