Thursdays getting closer to the weekend

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Thursdays getting closer to the weekend

Postby avalen » Thu Feb 18, 2016 6:40 am

Good morning :D
Can't wait for the weekend to see what's in store for me. Most likely getting
things in order for the upcoming trip to Del Rio Tx. My friend Bill booked our
room yesterday, taking the truck with boat. Maggie and I are in for a real treat.
So, what do you suppose a man has in mind when he asks you what color you
want the bedroom painted? And then of course there is that little bit of
"meeting the family" needless to say what started out as nothing, is becoming
something, and I couldn't be happier.
Other things on my mind,,,,my bus needs a new compressor on the ac, ya know
I hate driving the spare bus but at least it has ac. Hope to get mine back soon.
I see Liz is in my neighborhood, my new one  as Globe is not far from
Superior. If ya get the chance Liz, go check out the Boyce Thompson Arboretum
its right there at Superior on highway 60.
Nothing else on my mind, y'all have a good day and be safe.

Good morning Alice,

You must really have been up early to beat us easterners  it's not even 7 a.m. here yet  But I know you are just brimming with happiness and wish nothing but the best for you, including getting your bus back :)

Furry alarms woke me up around 5:45 a.m. So they have been out, separately of course, Piper is into her morning drag stuff out routine and Molly went back to bed. I think her Lyme's meds will be here today. I really want to get them started. I too can't wait for the weekend as it brings us closer to day 10 for Piper and normalcy back into her life.

Went to Hobby Lobby yesterday and picked up a scrapbook and few other goodies to finish off the trip pages. Don't know if it will be today's project or not, but kind of thinking so. Won't take that long. Then will continue on, get the pics from the Rockville and Shipshewana, IN GTG made and in there. Want to give the house a good cleaning, but may wait till tomorrow. Just installed Windows 10 in my computer, so want to play with it. Supposed to be lousy weather tonight and tomorrow. Snow/freezing rain tonight followed by rain tomorrow. Good day for projects.

So will leave you with that and wish you all a nice day out there.

Mornin' Ava & Sue ~ and all that follow...

hmm what color to paint the bedroom? Maybe it's a test and tell him hot pink just to see a reaction  Sounds like a fun trip for you & Maggie boating around. I think you're pre-retirement prep is awesome. Have fun.

Hope Molly's meds come so you can get her started Sue. And don't ya just love the furkids, when they just need to take everything out of their toy box, but not necessarily play with them. I think they take inventory.

Meeting Eileen & her DH at the RV show tomorrow. Weather should be great for their drive down, 50's or there abouts. Maybe they'll get lucky and find something like I did last year. I've seen a lot of TT's heading north this week, probably from Rick's RV, Pontiac RV and other dealers south.

Punk's last training day is this weekend. Yea!! It's a pain in the keester. Sometimes the toddler brain kicks in (he was 1 yr last week), so his stay / come right now is more of a stay / I'll see if I want to come or go over there. Little brat!

That's about it for now. Have a good day everyone and stay safe on the roads.

Lori, Doc and I had my seafood dinner out here in Georgia last night :) and I will be getting it together and pulling out to head farther north this morning. Will end up in my daughter's driveway by Friday. The dogs are looking forward to finding a state park this afternoon so that they can find so interesting afternoon walking trails..... :)

Gmorning all :)

Catching up here. Sounds like everyone is doing well--but another close call at the Hardee gtg?! Great pix, Sarah. Thanks for posting.

Some big "events" for me over the past weekend & this week. I got to meet Alice's new beau-- really a nice guy:) Spent yesterday a.m. with Sharon & got a ride on her motor-trike--perfect day for a ride. Then spent the afternoon with my Piper's other mom. This morning I'm waiting for the wonderful CA morning traffic to subside before I make the 2 hr drive to my sis's in Oceanside. A nice gentle rain overnight, warm & gray this a.m.

It amazes me too that another week is almost to an end. Y'all have a great day, be safe always 8-)

Good Morning! So good to see so many posts already. Carolb, wondered where you had landed!! :) Glad you gave Ava's new squeeze your stamp of approval! I think we are all smiling along with you, Ava!

I peaked out at the sunrise - beautiful but too much 'clutter' in the way. Then opened the back shade to see a beautiful double rainbow. Got the camera and headed out in my PJs! Again, too much clutter (mostly wires) so another gal and I walked out to the road. That was followed by a little sprinkle - probably not enough to keep the dust down.

SS ride to Yuma and the picnic made for a fun day yesterday - 5 of us from my graduating class in Washington State there. I'm suppose to head to storage and also mail a couple boxes to my daughter, but an invitation for a short RZR ride will put that off until later this afternoon. Better do some laundry as well.

My big news is that I will joining a group of SS riders to ride across the country! The ride starts in California, but since I'll be on the East Coast, I'll meet a smaller group to ride I 10 west to California. Along the way back east we will stop for a rally in the Rocky Mountains and end with a rally in the Adirondacks. I figure this is a once in a lifetime opportunity, and I'm not getting any younger. I'll be meeting most of these riders at a rally in the Smokey Mountains in June.

Must get a move on. Make the most of this day and safe travels.

I really slept in this morning, but it is still morning. Tried to reorganize my freezer so more stuff would fit in and decided part of the solution was to eat a couple of bagels stored there.

I am in White Tank Mountain park northeast of Phoenix and enjoying the cloudy day. Much better than yesterday's really hot one. It is supposed to cool down just a few degrees, which makes me happy since I do not like severe heat--like anything over 85.

And AVA and others, I was at Boyce Thompson two days ago and just last night posted photos on my blog. I would have liked to walk all around the longer trail but it was hot and my back was really bothering me. Wish I had been able to do these things when I was 20 years younger, but could not have afforded it then, so I will make do with doing what I can. I can only stand about 10 minutes when my lower back goes into a spasm, and then I have to sit down and lean forward to stretch it out. Knees and rest of me holds up well, other than knees are a little wobbly going downhill. As they say, getting old is not for the weak.

Going to do some indoor stuff and work today and then tomorrow heading out to Desert Botanical Gardens and maybe some laundry. I also need to find a haircut somewhere--really getting shaggy.
