Bit Foggy Monday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Bit Foggy Monday

Postby Colliemom » Mon Feb 08, 2016 8:40 am

Good Morning,

A bit foggy here this morning. We are having a little above norm temps for a couple of days and it's causing snow melt, so we get a little fog from that.

I will try this morning to get my post on the right day. Yesterday I meant to post on Super Sunday that Carolb started after I got home from church, but backed up to Saturday to reread the posts and then just adding mine to them without even thinking about the fact it wasn't Saturday  Guess my brain was no in full function mode even that late in the day.

This morning am off to town to run errands, pick up a few papers for my scrapbooking project and hopefully take girls for a walk later this afternoon. The road is getting really mushy as county put down sand/salt mix the other day. Would be nice if they would come through and plow off the mush before it refreezes in a day or two.

Martha, I was with you about the Super Bowl, couldn't get into watching it, so worked on my scrapbook. But I could have watched Weather Channel too. I love that channel as they have so many interesting programs, not just constant weather reporting unless there is really bad weather afoot. One can learn so many interesting things.

Want to get moving here, so will wish you all a nice day today whatever you get into. :)

Good morning Sue, fur babies and all who follow,
A bit cool here in central Florida today and the wind is continuing to blow. Made steel cut oats for breakfast. Wish someone in the northern part of the state would close the door
Watched the game last night and glad the Broncos won. Half time was ok but there has been better. A couple of cute commercials but nothing that makes me want to watch them again.
Working on laundry this morning and running to the store for a few things. Looking forward to Hardee Lakes this weekend.
Take care and hope all your problems are small!

Morning all. Have been up since 5am oh well will just get an earlier start on my day. I am not a napper as that would definitely screw up my sleep schedule so will just keep busy. Super bowl wasn't too exciting and a disappointing half time show for sure. Liked Lady GaGa's national anthem tho.

Will be glad to get my SUV back soon. Not too fond of this puddle jumper car but hey it is wheels. Still sorting and shredding but seem to be making some progress. Yesterday was not very productive....Netflix got me ha ha

Found my Fitbit so have it charging now. Need to get back on track...summer is coming and I can't afford to buy all new summer clothes so am now counting my calories and keeping track on Lose It so we shall see how this works for me. Now I need to go to the store as I blew it off this weekend cause I thought it would be busy with people buying Super Bowl snacks. I need some meat (ugh), fish (yum) and veggies and fruit. I ordered a NuWave oven to see how that works for me, they get really good reviews so we shall see. I bought the George Foreman grill a couple of years ago and it is mainly a dust collector so hope I use this more. I am shooting for a pound a week, I hope I can stick to it. I already eat pretty healthy but could do better. I am not much of a snacker so had a couple of scrambled eggs and some V8 juice for breakfast....long time until lunch hah I have 1350 calories left....they add up quickly tho so will have to dole out the food. Going to buy a scale for the kitchen as I have a bit of trouble with portion sizes in not knowing what something weighs.

Got a load of laundry in and now time for my shower and a walk for the lazy a** dog if she gets up, she is a 9 or 10 o'clock dog. So I do have a little time yet.

Good morning, everyone. Karen, I'm very interested in hearing how the NuWave oven works for you. Nothing going on here. Will do some housekeeping today, that''s about it. Good thoughts to all.

Good brrrr morning, yes it is still cold in FL. One of those mornings where you hesitate a few seconds over decision of disconnecting space heater in order to plug in coffee pot; the coffee always wins.
Sure am glad I don't have to drive today - yesterdays wind was bad enough. Gale warnings posted today per news (I'm about 4 miles inland as crow flys). Sun is out and should reach the 50s today.
Had a wonderful visit with Dawn and Paul last night. Love Dawn's new home.
I must have strayed too close to something while walking Nicky this morning - allergies back in high gear. Hate that.
BTW: This is bear country signs all along the last 15 miles of US 19 reminding travelers of that fact. Same signs along the dead end road to campground. The nature preserve where many of the bears live borders this campground. They suggest you not take garbage of dumpster at night tho it is in the opposite end of CG. I have not seen any indication of bears prowling around but do not intend to tempt them either. Once in a while they have to call a ranger to have bear removed from CG. I assume they are little black bears but forgot to ask.
This evening a lady from the GRITS group who lives nearby is picking me up for dinner. I've never met her in person so looking forward to getting to know another RVer.
Have a good day.

For once I'm up and on here at still morning CA time! I had to pill da kid so I can drag him out of bed to a Dr appt in about half an hour. Hard enough getting me up early! Sunny day out with near record reading temps in 70's amd no rain in sight. That's not good. So much for El niƱo ! I watched SB yesterday and thought it was less than exciting as the Panthers never really got going. So much for being favored to win. But I was glad Broncos and Peyton won, for his possibly final game. Lady Gaga I thought was fabulous, best ever for National Anthem. Half time show, not so much. It seemed to have poor audio as it was hard to under stand any lyrics at all and the weird rainbow thing they had going. I enjoyed the food though ! LOL
So kid to Dr today, Mandy cat to vet tomorrow, and Mel to radiation recheck Wednesday. That's going to keep me busy and up earlier than usual so cranky! :D
Have a good week all.

Good Morning Barely!, Just got out of the pool after doing water exercises. It is a beautiful sunny day here. Good luck Karen on the diet. I'm doing "hello Fresh". Still attempting to lose weight. I get three meals for two, once a week and always have leftovers for breakfast or lunch. The food is very good and hardly no trips to the grocery store now!!! I've hit a real plateau
or the scale is broken!

I loved the SB yesterday. I did not watch any commercials nor the half-time. Just watched the football game and was happy for the Broncos and Manning.

Still shy of noon here so I am under the morning wire. Had cataract surgery this morning so not doing much today except putting drops in eye every 2 hours. So much to do and me not able to lift or bend for the next week

I woke up about 3:30 this morning and finally went back to sleep at 6:00 for about an hour and a half. The weather wouldn't be too bad if it wasn't so windy. The wind makes it feel much colder. It's suppose to be back in the 70's in a few days.

I must have missed the things about the Super Bowl the everyone liked. I was wondering if the audio problem was just my TV. I couldn't understand the music for the crowd noise. It seems like a lot of shows that have an audience are hard to understand. The late night show hosts try to talk over all the noise and most of the time I can't hear what they are saying.

Sarah, the little black bears are probably still about 350 pounds. There were pictures of a bear taken at the local state park here a couple of years ago. I am only about 2 miles from the park through the woods. They never said anything about trapping it but haven't heard anything since then. The camp hosts pick up the trash every few hours. I haven't seen any hogs there lately either. The hogs were getting out of hand and they weren't afraid of people.

Sunny and warm day here in Napa. Just got back from eye doctor appointment and got the all clear for the next four months. She wants to check me again in June, but am glad I can head out tomorrow to Phoenix.

Whew! Can't type much because eyes still really dilated.

Hi everyone! I am among those that Cheryl mentioned yesterday, that read and not post. I have no excuse, other than being lazy. We are still in Ocala and enjoying life, although it's been chilly here lately and will be for the rest of the week. Tina, Sarah, Brenda, Carolb & Nan have been here to visit, while they were in the area. We have sent a couple people to Alliance RV, which is where we bought this motorhome from, and received notice today, that we might receive another check from them, for referring the second client to them. Maybe I should be an RV sales person! LOL!

I've enjoyed reading about Sue getting another puppy, Alice counting down till her retirement, Liz, Anita, Beth and others being on the road, Donna is a fulltimer (Yay, Donna!) Lyn waiting for her new knee, and the others I didn't mention, but still important in our lives.

Tomorrow is Shrove Tuesday or Fat Tuesday, for others. As far back as I can remember, we've always had pancakes and sausage for dinner. Tomorrow, for the first time, we will break the ritual, as Steve will be going out for breakfast with the guys here at the campground and I'll be meeting the ladies from church for lunch. We only have one large meal a day, hence our weight loss, so I promised Steve pancakes and sausage for Ash Wednesday, day after tomorrow. I'll pull out the hoola-hoop and walk laps around the campground to get rid of the extra calories. Between Steve and I, we've lost close to 80 pounds and feeling great.

I'll make an honest effort to check in more regularly with hopes of having something of interest to say. Take care everyone!
