First Friday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

First Friday

Good Morning,

Gee, seems like it was just the first Friday of January and now it's the first Friday of February. That just brings up closer to spring, right! :D I'm already thinking summer mode. Just made another reservation for another U.P. state park, this one for when I l leave McLain and start back home. I posted parks and dates I am reserved in the General Talk, Spring, Summer thread.

The girls are napping after a morning of play. After spending all day Wednesday snoozing, they clicked like a light bulb yesterday morning and now that bond is complete. Play, play, rest, play, play is the word around here. Piper adores Molly and Molly is now taking her half sister under her wing a bit. Keeps a close eye on her for the most part. They are getting a bit inseparable. Both are heading for the vet this morning as both are due for rabies shots and I need to make arrangement for having Piper spayed as well. Be interesting to see how she reacts in the vets office, being as timid and shy as she is. But I think she is starting to come out of that shell slow but sure.

So, what's everybody doing today? Hope no bad weather anyplace for a change. More storms coming I know, but..... I wound up going out twice with my blower yesterday to clear end of drive from county plow. First time from when he did it late the day before and then again about an hour after I did it he came back again and this time broke the banks back. That really causes the snow to fly far back off the road and it also knocked my mailbox askew  So got out some nails, spare pieces of wood, hammer etc. and repaired it. I need a new post anyway and will do that in spring. The Road Commission will replace the box etc. only if they hit it directly with the plow itself. But it' no big deal as the box is fine, just broke loose from the post itself. Life in the north country although I have to say, it's the first time in the 40 years I have lived up here.

Nothing else going on here, so am going to go get cleaned up and maybe putter with scrapbook for a bit. Got the last of my big trip pictures developed yesterday, so now can keep right on going with the scrapbook. Actually I'm just doing the pages, waitig for scrapbooks to go on sale.
Have a nice day and a great weekend everybody.

Good morning Sue and all... the weather here is on the cool side after the cold front and all the storms went by during the night it is now 49 degrees but the sun is shining brightly... you ask what's everybody doing well this morning I was able to go out and do some trimming on the hedges that Carolb help me with in December when she was here my back did really good I didn't do any twisting just stood straight clipped and through it in the barrel.... I'm not sure what else I will do but I hope its something constructive whatever it is it really felt good to be able to do some physical work I miss it... I'm thinking about trying to build a platform of some sort to go between the two cab seats in my rig so that Pheebe can lay on a pillow and put her head on my leg she is very afraid to lay down between the seats on the floor all she wants to do it then get under my feet and that's not so good for driving I have to figure something out anybody got any ideas on how to do the platform I think I've heard of people doing that before just don't remember where... well that's all for me right now have a good one & B safe ...donna

Gmorning Sue, Donna & all to follow:)

Looks like some excellent AZ weather on it's way--will be nice not to be using my furnace every night! Crazy storms--Lyn, I'd heard nothing of the CA storms, so thanks for catching me up on that. Good to see you posting here:)

Enjoying my time at camp driveway. Alice is on cloud nine, but I haven't met HIM yet! Sandi, I like your toad. Are you ready to get on the road again? Death Valley still a destination for me, so I'll keep you posted. Liz says she may like to go there too.

I've tried to post a few times via my cell, but lately it doesn't respond to the submit command. Laptop today, like it's a big deal to get out my laptop when it's within arm's reach here in my little HB

Y'all have a great day & be safe always 8-)

Good Morning Everyone !!! Beautiful morning, I have not been outside, but it sure does look pretty through the window :D My sis had a repair person come this morning, he arrived really early, so lots of fast moving around here, getting dressed etc :D , no time for outside ventures. Usually you wait all day for them, but this one here at 8.

Have the RV back, sounds great. Have some housekeeping to do before I head south first part of the week. Will stop by DD's for couple days and then on to GTG. Trying to see those grands all I can this winter, never know what next winter will be.

No real news, enjoying my visit with my sis, and now have a wee bit of housekeeping to do in rv, but if something fun comes up, can do it at gtg  work is not a priorty this time in my life, if fun comes along, you now know which way I go ;) :D :D

In reading articles on the forum, it seems some are either doing, getting ready to do, or waiting not so patiently for the time to do it, :D I did get a chuckle out of the chicken in the van, not my van, so thought it was funny. Know how chickens can be. Guess the guy didn't think the egg was payment enough for cleaning up, huh? I wouldn't either.

Gotta get off of here, things going on, I need to join in, Have a great day everyone, enjoy and have fun, but please do stay safe,

Good morning all. A late start here for me, been doing stuff I said I should have done earlier in the week but ran around instead! No putting it off today! Already changed the bed and put the new springy comforter on. I've had it for awhile but wanted to wait until I painted the room which has been done for awhile! Time to brighten things up again! At least the inside can be bright! It's been blowing snow all morning and cold and windy outside! And as you said the other day, CArol, the price of living here! What was the noise in your rv?

I laughed about the hen and egg! Bet one egg wasn't worth the mess in his van! Carolb, sounds like you are having a good time! Never made it to Death Valley when I lived out there. Sounds like a fun trip. Sue, what fun having 2 pups to play with! My guys aren't quite understanding why I won't let them romp around. Rascal's leg seems to be responding to the rest but I know I have a long way to go to get it strong again. Hopefully by the time I can dewinterize Lola and take a trip he'll be much improved! Liz, thanks again for all the pictures and travelogue! Such fun to travel along with all of you! I'm having trouble keeping up with everyone!

Well, I hear the dryer telling me I need to go up and take out that load and put another in. Hope you all have a good day and as always, be safe.

Up and had breakfast, plus did some straightening up. Going to go for a bike ride today and also put some film on one of my back windows to give me some privacy in the bathroom without closing the drapes during the day.

Other project is to hand-paint some numbers on a new sign that I bought. Will post photos if it turns out.

Not much else, other than work going on. Sounds like everyone is getting set for summer travels.
