Postby grammynmaggie » Thu Feb 04, 2016 7:03 am

Good morning everyone we are to have storms today and then a big cool down high will only be 64 by Sunday.... had a post ready yesterday it went poof so will try today... went over to the church the crafty ladies and worked on some ornaments for the bazaar... later in the afternoon I ran the vacuum in rig sucking up all the sand... dad wants to go to Walmart this morning ..and what's this afternoon I don't know... speaking about fences I'm sure glad that's not a requirement for getting Pheebe... there is no way I would let a little dog I would in a fenced yard here in Florida we have too many birds of prey in this neighborhood we have a couple of eagles but live here plus hawks and Osprey.... I think they maybe should rethink their rules at least go case by case considering all the circumstances... one time I had are young eagle sitting in a tree eyeballing Maggie as soon as I seen him I grabbed her and put in the rig as soon as I did he flew away that was a close one.... I want to thank everybody for all their input about my dad... I'm going to take your advice and let him make his own bad decisions & turn all the stress over to God... have a good one everybody & B safe...donna

Good Morning Donna and Everyone !!! Beautiful this morning, but sure dire report for after noon today. Oh well, I should be back from errands, picking up meds and also getting my RV back, after leaving them bundles of $$$$. Yearly check up for it, enough, but had a noise this year, I didn't like so they checked it out and found problem I hope. I can tell you as soon as I crank it up. First time I have ever left it for repairs, and not sure I ever will again. Oh, shouldn't ever say never, right?

Donna, I agree with everyone else on your Dad making his own decisions, because whatever, he is going to do his thing anyway and the only thing that will happen is you will get upset, so try to let it be. Been there, so know how hard all of this is.

My sis is ready to go, so will close wishing you all a good day, know the weather has not been to good for some of you, but Spring is coming, just remember that  Take care, stay warm, dry, and most of all safe,

CArol

Just a quick good morning.
In addition to several free roaming cats her to drive Nicky crazy there is a resident hen who seems to love tormenting all the dogs

We are off to meet Irmi and Steve for lunch in a little while. Guess we will come back and hunker down for the afternoon storms to pass.

Oh I finally got a photo of Tina and Brenda to post in the small gtg thread.

Have a good day.

Well allrighty, I have been up since 4:30...who knows why. The dog was not impressed so just burrowed in the covers to ignore me. So had coffee load, had breakfast, thought I would shower and head to town early this morning, as I need a few things from Walmart. Looked outside and my road is covered with ice WTH. Must be the freezing fog it is 33 out so it will probably be better in a couple of hours so new plan....vacuum and dust and maybe wash kitchen floor. Better weather coming up here this next week....sun and 60's I will take it.

I had to laugh at Donna re: her 64 degrees. WOW I think that is a heat wave here right now.

Sandi I love your new combo...you be stylin' gal.

I am ready to get out of town, probably by car as my MH is winterized and far too early to dewinterize unless I head south and right now I still have a lot to do here. I am just being pokey about it. I haven't been home in the winter for more than 4 or 5 days at a time so now I keep telling myself I have lots of time. I am trying to do something each day. I am getting there slow but sure. Still loving not working.

Good morning ladies. No sleeping in here very long! They are recarpeting the hallway outside my apartment (very loudly! ) and have been working on it for almost a week now. Still not even close to being done! I am thinking these guys are paid by the hour instead of by the job! Same crew that renovated my apartment (for 10 months! ).

Off to work later on so need to get a few things done around here before then. Sure anxious for spring! I have the mid-winter doldrums now. :( Need to get outside and get some fresh air to perk me up some!

Donna, here is a poem that helps me put things in perspective when I get stressed out:

"God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference."

Sometimes I switch out the word "change" for "control" which usually works better in my case. :D

Have a good day! Stay warm and dry! :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Past morning here in Michigan but hey, still morning on Central time zone and beyond, right  Been too busy to get on here earlier. Wanted to book a site in the new campground that I posted about in General talk as this morning is first day for reservations. Well, in 5 minutes the entire 18 full hookup sites were booked from opening day on June 23 all the way through August  Wow, looks like a lot of us were waiting to hit the that reserve button. Didn't get my first choice, but did get my second one. So will be there from July 11-14th. Also reserved a site for an overnight when I head to the U.P. On August 1st. Tomorrow morning, will book a site for weekend I return home. Then after all that, headed to town to chiropractor for my maintenance checkup, off to pet store for dog food and grocery store for couple items and got rest of my western trip pictures developed. Now heading out with snowblower to clear end of drive from county plow.

Karen, know all about 4:30 a.m. Molly woke me up to go out and she and Piper got into a play session with a deflated ball out there. Having a grand time. Except it was 4 a.m.! They spent a quiet day sleeping yesterday, guess they were all wore out from last few days and are making up for it today, ful is f heck. Hope you gals in FL don't have too many bad storms. Sarah, a resident chicken in the campground :o And tormenting the dogs...I see a fried chicken dinner coming up  Carol, glad you got MH repaired. Diesels don't come cheap in the repair department

Time to get out and clear that snow out, then doggie walk time. Have a nice day all.

Annie was sleeping on my lap and a neighbor knocked on the door. We had a cat explosion. Maybe we should knock on the door before we come in so that they won't know when it's a stranger. I was worried about Annie because she slept all day yesterday. Not to worry, the nocturnal dodo was on high at mid night.

It looks like the rain has made it to Florida. It's a slow moving front so will probably dump a lot of rain. It's 54 today. I was out without a jacket but had to come get one. Will be close to freezing tonight and tomorrow night.

Sarah, try to find out if the hen lays eggs and where.

Sue, looks like the new park needs to add some sites. The park near me must have about 90 RV sites. It wasn't full last weekend but it was busy. I haven't passed by Betty's to see how big a crowd she has. Usually for Mardi Gras she has RV's jam packed in there.

Have a good trip Nikki and tell Birdie hi.

Chilly here at Hensley Lake, but love the sunshine. This place is a bit off 99, but worth it is a COE place with electric sites for only $15 for us seniors. And no reservations needed during the week, at least at this time of year, since once again I am the only visitor. Pleasant place with a view and for me to get work done and relax. You can only imagine how quiet it is. And lake level is up higher than in past three years! It is now at 19% of capacity, from 5% last fall. Still has a ways to go but rivers are still dumping in water, even if no rain right now.

Started to package up some of my travel brochures and booklets, and going to get them in shape to ship to Ohio for storage. I added a couple of those books I had planned to read but never got around to reading. No sense carrying the weight around for another year. Will head to Napa on Saturday and spend weekend in son's driveway. Doctor appointment is on Monday and then will head to Phoenix, hopefully.

In a few days, I will be playing the click the mouse button at 5:00 am to get a site for next January in Gamble Rogers State Park along the ocean! Same game as Sue just played!

Martha.....One of the other residents here in the park left his van doors open as he walked his garbage down the row to the dumpster. When he got back he closed up the van for the night. In the morning he found that the hen had gone into the van when his back was turned. She left him an egg on the passenger seat :) and the usual chicken "mess" :o below the seat back where she had decided to roost for the night. So yes she leaves eggs somewhere but not in that gentleman's van anymore!

That's funny Tina. To us maybe but not the van owner. We can't leave vehicle doors open or windows down or the cats will move in.

Way past morning coffee so I'm going with evening wine
Sounds like everyone had a busy day planned. I worked on downsizing my storage. Was able to get it all done!
Loved the story about the hen. So funny she got trapped in the van and left an egg  we enjoyed our brief stay there but things were pretty quiet. Lol
Hope to see several of you next weekend. Take care.
