Happy Spring! Sunday...

or,... for the religous among us, Happy Easter, or Passover or whatever is your personal belief.

However, I question the "spring" comment this morning,..... it is 28° and snowing here. .... to quote my dear friend Soosie... ACK!

So grab a chair at the table and enjoy HOT coffee, HOT cocoa and some HOT cinnamon buns,.... only way to start a cold morning! :D

Good morning. It is chilly here, but the sunshine and birds are reminding everyone that it really is spring.... Ugh, on the sinus infections. I think they exist to keep us humble, to remind us what feeling poorly is like, so we can truly feel with others when they don't feel well. Doing the eating with a relative thing about 11:30 and then meeting with a friend later in the afternoon to show her how to groom an English Cocker. Might have to send some taxes off, so I don't forget later in the week and balance a few $$$ documents, and pay some bills. If I am thinking I will get to the grocery store, too. I will be working for the next six days, and I know the energy will not be plentiful in the evenings for errands. But I have the joy of knowing that I am moving closer to my freedom too many bills goal. :) I am just nibbling on breakfast and drinking some fresh squeezed juice. The meal will be here soon enough. Enjoy the day and all it brings.

Goooood morning all. Yesterday was really cold and windy - we had some sleet - brrrrrr. Beth and Sparkle are supposed to be here some time today. I've got the wine all ready and the Flamingos are watching the driveway. Tomorrow we're going to the wolf sanctuary. Stay tuned - pictures to follow.

The Rules of Chocolate

If you get melted chocolate all over your hands, you're eating it too slowly.

Chocolate covered raisins, cherries, orange slices and strawberries all count as fruit, so eat as many as you want.

The problem: How to get two pounds of chocolate home from the store in a hot car.
The solution: Eat it in the parking lot.

Diet tip: Eat a chocolate bar before each meal.
It'll take the edge off your appetite and you'll eat less.

A nice box of chocolates can provide your total daily intake of calories in one place. Isn't that handy?

If you can't eat all your chocolate, it will keep in the freezer. But if you can't eat all your chocolate, what's wrong with you?

If calories are an issue, store your chocolate on top of the fridge. Calories are afraid of heights, and they will jump out of the chocolate to protect themselves.

Money talks. Chocolate sings.

Chocolate has many preservatives. Preservatives make you look younger.

Why is there no such organization as Chocoholics Anonymous?
Because no one wants to quit.

Put "eat chocolate" at the top of your list of things to do today. That way, at least you'll get one thing done.

Chocolate is a health food. Chocolate is derived from cacao beans. Bean = vegetable. Sugar is derived either from sugar beets or cane, both vegetables. And, of course, the milk/cream is dairy. So eat more chocolate to meet the dietary requirements for daily vegetable and dairy intake.

HAPPY EASTER !!!

Karen wasn't lying about the cold here. Woke this morning to COLD and it's only up to 49 so far. I know for some of you that's a warm spell, but it's so windy it cuts right through. Sparkle's back is bothering her a bit - so she's taking it easy today. We'll head out to meet with Karen first thing in the morning. It's giving me a chance to get some pics uploaded for here - and to get working on my travel website. Want to get it up for my friends and family to keep up with me this trip (and you guys, too) asap.

We switched from dry camping to electric sites- and I have my little electric heater working overtime. Going to go do a 3 1/2 mile trek around the park if I can convince myself - have already walked about 5 miles today. We're at City of Rocks State Park just down the road from Karen today. Found out from one of the volunteers that today is their busiest day of the year. Go figure. But I'm watching a large group across from me - with kites, lots of kids and bikes, etc Coolers everywhere. Bet they weren't counting on this cold spell. Will try to get out there and take pics at least.

Happy Easter to all of you. I'm on vacation this week and am soooo happy. :D I'm painting my bedroom as my to-do project. I'm on a fix-it before I sell it time schedule on my house and this is one of my last, I hope, big projects. Just two or three really big ones left mostly painting. Does it ever end though when you own your home? Makes me long for my turn on the road.
