Light Snow Saturday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Light Snow Saturday

Good Morning,

Better get your breakfast orders in before the kitchen closes here. Already had some ham and cottage cheese, but have eggs, bacon, sausage, peaches (canned), bread for toast here too.

Bit of light snow falling this morning. Weather to get colder and more snow later tonight and tomorrow. Sounds like tomorrow might be a bit nasty, so may not make church again. Nice couple of day break from the snow blowers, so am ready to tackle whatever comes along

Miss Molly got her weigh in and nail trim yesterday. She's at 58.6 pounds, slim and trim. We ran a couple of errands beforehand, then took our walk after we got home, she watched me eat some pizza for dinner and got a couple of bites of crust, let me hold her bone while she chewed on it and then zonk, out like a light. Didn't see her again till she woke me up around 6 this morning. Guess she had enough excitement for one day

Tina, congrats on the one point for Audrey and also Best Handler recognition. I'm sure you were proud considering how many pros you said there were there. How did it go in the afternoon class? Ava, another date. Now we are all curious or maybe nosey  Martha, saw yesterday where WalMart is closing 269 stores including the one in Abbeville, AL. But then next year they want to open 200 new ones  I know ours sure has gotten crappy anymore. Like yours, seems like they are always out of stuff and shelves are a mess all the time. Those King Cakes you are talking about, sound a lot like the Pactzki's thy make up here before Lent. Barbie, I have same issues with my computer as far as pages getting smaller, bigger etc. and so forth. My computer guy told me to use a mouse rather than the pad on the computer and it wouldn't do that. Have yet to do it though. Plus getting ready to download Windows 10 too.

Off to the basement this morning . Got my project done as far as insulation is concerned. All nice and covered so it won't fall out. Now to get cobwebs out of here and there and dust off the shelves in the storage area and just kind of go through things. My basement is 3/4 empty, and the storage side is not that full either, but want to go through a few boxes of stuff to donate and clear out. Then will be done down there ;)

So have a nice weekend everyone, hope those who are traveling have clear, dry roads and great weather, those who are ill, get to feeling better, keep warm in the chilly weather and dry in the rains :)

Good Morning Everyone !! It's a beautiful morning here at Hardee Lakes. My site is in the tree area this time a ways from the water but it's really pretty over here, my site is level and faces an open field. I'm just so glad to be here, wasn't sure I could make it so saw no point in mentioning it. Waiting for Donna and Soos, will walk over soon, few things to finish here first, in fact they may be here, can't tell from here. In other words I'm far enough away when I go over plan to be there awhile  :

Alice not nice what you're doing stringing us all along, 2 dates and we know nothing   have fun and ignore us nosey people !

Have a great day, stay safe, but have some fun somewhere in the day,

Good morning Sue, Carol, and Alice. It's drizzling out there. I'll have to check the weather site. The last two days have been glorious, warm and sunny. Yesterday got as high as 76F.
Tina, I'm with Louise...Pictures! Pictures! Pictures! (This is said in a deep voice, accent on first syllable, pumping fist in the air.) Martha, I'll look on the map to see where you are. I'm not much for cities or crowds any more. I like to go into the city, look around for a few hours, eat too much fabulous food and leave. It's enough to get the feeling of a place. Maybe we can visit NO for a few hours some day. I think today will be a lazy day, housekeeping and not much else. I might work on this week's lesson from my art class.

Everybody stay safe and dry.

Good Saturday morning, everyone!

Nothing much special happening here today. I do think I can get used to LA winters though.

DIL is taking off the next couple of months for 'bonding time' with our sweet Olivia. This means I can focus on work a little more & maybe stick to an 8-hour day for a change. Thinking of flying back to KS for a couple of weeks to show my face in the office & learn a few technical things that will be more easily covered in person. Still don't have the final word on how long I can work remotely but I want to give them my best no matter where I'm located.

Love seeing your adventures & hearing about retirements (woohoo)!!! I know my day will come & I'll be able to join in on the GTGs. You all are my inspiration.
Stay safe & warm.

Sue, I looked up Pactzki and they look like filled donuts. A King Cake is cinnamon roll dough rolled up but not cut. It is shaped into a circle or oval depending on how large they are making. The center is open. The one I like the dough is made into smaller pieces, braided and then cooked. Look up mecheskingcakes.com for a picture. I bet the people that are working in bakeries are about sick of all the sugar and stickiness by Fat Tuesday.

I was looking at the list of the stores Walmart is closing. I saw the one in Abbeville, Al but I'm in Abbeville, Louisiana. Most of the ones they are closing in Louisiana are the very small ones about the size of a Dollar Store. I was surprised at the number of stores they are closing in Arkansas. That's where their headquarters is. Walmart is like the 800 pound gorilla when it comes to their vendors. They tell you what you can get not what you want them to do. When I worked for the rice company they required that our broker live up there.

Glad to know Carolb made it to AZ. Maybe she can get the story out of Ava.

Nicki, look up the tourist things in Lafayette, New Iberia and St Martinsville to see if there are any things you like to do. The Tabasco Factory is in New Iberia and most are interested in that. You can park in my yard(we live in the country) or there is a state park about 5 miles from me. I have a 30 amp hookup. Carolb found out she could go dump her tanks for only $2.00 at the state park. I use to be able to dump in our old septic tank until my son started messing with the deck over it. For $2 I'm going to the state park rather than fight with 30 feet of hose.

Looks like it's going to be a nice day but I see rain in Texas. Guess you know where it's headed. At least it's not as big of an area as the last one. Hope the ladies at the Florida GTG have good weather. I know they will have a good time.

Back in Napa until tomorrow. Had my dye eye test yesterday, but no results for a while. I am heading out this morning to pick up kids to take them to library and then out to lunch. Afternoon will be lunch and catching up on some work. Son is getting bored with being housebound, so is going to go out a little today, although not with me.

It is raining again today, which is good. And is supposed to rain most of this coming week. So I am heading to Las Vegas, which will be a lot more dry. I am going to see a friend and her husband in LV. They have rented a condo for a week, so we will go hiking together and rent a pontoon boat to go up and down the Colorado from Willow Beach. Looking forward to it.

Got to run. Have a good day, everyone.

Judy, my sister went to see the pancreatitis specialist and she goes back in 2 weeks. They are going to run a scope and do a dye test to see if her ducts are blocked. She had her gall bladder out years ago. Sure hope they can help her.

Good morning Everybody from beautiful, sunny Kino Bay, Mexico. I am thinking about you all gathering in Q today, and I am with you in spirit. Carolb, glad you arrived in time for the gtg, and I know you are enjoying your time with Ava.
The Hardee Lake group is gathering too. It is so much fun to gtg.
Sue, I will try to meet up with you somewhere in PA this summer. CT is only two states away!
Enjoy today and be happy. Peggy
