its so much fun to watch puppies grow, they certainly grow fast, but I'm glad its your house and not mine few more weeks and they will be all over the place
Mom will be very dedicated until she figures out were those little sharp teeth start coming from. Last time she jumped up suddenly and turned and looked at her puppies, as if to say, just where did that "pain" come from. She then started making herself not so available. It was sort of down hill from there and a good thing that I had already started introducing solid food.

About how long before the little fangs start to be noticeable to Mom? Know puppies teeth can be like sharp needles but have only handled pups after about 6 week or more old; and that was a long time ago.
The only major handicap in life is a bad attitude!
Ohhh, they are so cute, I love little puppies, or all little babies, but they grow up and never so cute again. Mama, is sure a beautiful dog!!!! I'm so glad you're letting us see their progress, will be looking for week # 2, when their eyes may be open.
The eyes on the smaller sister have started to open today and they are close to getting their legs under them. The baby teeth got to Blondie at about 3 and 1/2 weeks last time and she started making those nursing opportunities less frequent and shorter! I had started them on a gruel at three weeks so they quickly figured out that they didn't need her so much.....

[size=125]As Janice mentioned---I love that sweet smell of puppy breath! I always had such a difficult time letting my puppies go out to adoption. I insisted they keep in touch with me and send me pics of the puppies./size]
Life is about learning to dance in the rain Happy travels!
OMG - they are all - Mom and pups - so beautiful! But did Mom stray from the marriage bed? Where'd that little dark one come from? She caught my eye in the first picture! Thanks for sharing! Keep 'em coming...
Awwww...they are so cute. Few things are better than a puppy snuggling into your neck and the smell of puppy breath. Can't wait to see pictures when their eyes are open and they are toddling around.
My mind works like lightning...one brilliant flash and it's gone.
regarding the color. Blondie's color is called orange roan and is reccesive. Papa is also an English Cocker, but he is the Blue Roan color. He just happens to carry the recessive gene for the orange roan color. My Stuart is her puppy from her last litter. Just watch the color darken as the black and white boy ages.... (Both mom and dad are finished champions. Papa even has one Best in Show in his record. I was there the day in March 2007 showing Stuart at the time.....it was exciting to watch and cheer.
