Good Morning everyone,

Wanted to extend Christmas Wishes to all of you for a Very Merry Christmas. Going to be a quiet Christmas Eve here tonight but am looking forward to it. Nice dinner for myself later on, some good Christmas movies to watch and a furry companion to curl up on the floor with. Tomorrow will be off to Mass in the morning and then to cousin's a bit later for some appetizers and games. We aren't doing the big dinner thing as her family won't be up till the weekend and they will do their dinner on Sunday.

So today I will be making a cheese ball to take, as well as some cheese and crackers. Need to do a little touch up painting on one of my log snowmen I am giving her and of course Molly and I will be taking a walk this afternoon. Right now it's pretty windy out there, but winds are supposed to die down this afternoon. Some areas are without power right now, which I'm sure has those planning Christmas Eve doings a bit frustrated. I also hope that many of you who were in the areas where storms went through, have no damage or other issues. Sad to see tornadoes hitting just before Christmas and scattering peoples Christmas joy to the winds.

So, time to move along here. Juast want to say "Merry Christmas to All, and to All a good day".

Checking in from rather warm and wet Central North Carolina -- today is expected to break records at around 77-78 degrees (which means at my home in Florida it will be in the 80's). Lots of wicked weather passed through the middle USA last night -- hope all are fine this morning.

Today, I will enjoy time with my sister and husband. Finished all shopping so no rush to the stores. Played the lottery last night with visions of dollar bills dancing in my mind -- lost that dollar bill.... Bah humbug!!!

Wishing all a grand time during the holiday and I hope all your wishes come true!

Good Morning and Merry Christmas to all,
It will be a quite Christmas eve here. I will probably take my daughters out for lunch and who knows maybe dinner too. Just depends on if I feel like cooking. Tomorrow we will hang out at home for the morning and then go to my brother's home and visit with the rest of my siblings and extended family.
Have a great day all

Waiting for the crack of dawn to get an early start on a long day of driving. Decided to try to make it to Deming, NM today and then hunker down until after the storm and roads are safe to drive again. Hope everyone in the tornadoes' path is safe and sound this morning. Will check in later.

Good plan, Liz. Texas sounds pretty ugly right now.

I didn't get out the drive yesterday. Long story, including a AAA call. I think I'll stay home until this wave of storms has passed, then try again.

I'll get to skype with son #2, in Egypt with his wife! :)

Merry Christmas, everybody!

Good Morning to all... I actually went out to get the mail without socks or shoes on... have three days of mail to look through...

I made oatmeal/raisin/chocolate chip/nuts/banana cookies yesterday... It has been years since I made them... the young lady that helps me on Wed was here and she did not know how to make cookies... I gave her the recipe and a take home bag also... they turned out fine...

My sweet little girls have names now Princess and Little sister (sissy) they seem to fit their personalities... I have one or both on my lap every time I sit down which is most of the time!

Late this afternoon there is Christmas at church then out to dinner with family, tomorrow will be opening presents in the morning and late brunch at my daughters she said then we will play games gab and play with kittens.. ??? I said kittens are over here at my place she then said bring them over with some liter as she has a bin for them... late afternoon we will go to my son in laws brothers house for a gathering and dinner... a busy two days it will be!!

be it quiet or busy I hope everyone enjoys Christmas the birth of our Savior Jesus!

Hi Ladies ~~~ Still mornin' here for another 1/2 hour. Want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas, happy holiday or as the guy at the gas station says 'Merry Hanna Kwanzaa' (covers almost everyone).

Just me & mom tomorrow. She didn't want to have a big dinner since Christmas is my sister's birthday and since she passed last year in early December, Mom just doesn't want to celebrate, so I'll just do as Mom wants (less work for me is a plus I guess).

Have a holly, jolly...whatever!

I went to get something out of my car this morning barefoot and in my gown. It's 80. I think it will cool off next week. Please don't rain today. I finally made it to the grocery store yesterday and it was storming again. I managed to get in and out between downpours.

I cooked the celery and onions for the dressing this morning. Trying to get a head start on the cooking. Yesterday I had to go to 3 stores to find celery. Trying to decide if I feel like making a cake to make cake balls. The weather channel is playing Christmas music. Guess one of the Directv music channels is playing Christmas music but I never listen to the music channels.

Kathleen, one of my outside cats is named Sissy. When I brought her to get spayed I told them her name was Bitsy but that name just never stuck. If you bring your kittens around hope you use a carrier. Cats can get away from you fast.

Liz, hope you don't get too much bad weather. Better to be parked than on the road. I talked to my cousin in Oklahoma and they are expecting snow. I haven't gotten over my snow experiences in Oklahoma and New Jersey with two feet of snow. In New Jersey the water of off and we were melting snow to use in the bathroom. Quite an experience.

Hope everyone is safe from all the bad weather. They are saying there is flooding in Alabama and Georgia.

We had a dusting of snow overnight, but everything was icy and slippery this morning. Peaches and I were able to get in a decent walk before the rains started heavier again. Temps are only the mid 30's a high today. So at any time I expect it to change to snow.

Going out to dinner has been cancelled. Just being a bum.

I still haven't been able to give notice, so it'll and up being less than a week, if the manager comes in Saturday!
I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas Eve and Christmas, whether busy or a bum like me.

Had my grandkids sleep over last night and we made frosted sugar cookies. Everything went fine, except they have inherited their dad's difficult paying attention. It isn't that they are badly behaved--it's just they get so easily distracted. Takes forever to get them moving, so I have to turn off TV and everything else. I told their dad that those two were payback for him as a child. Never had the same problem with other son, but I always said this one floated through life 6" off the ground.

Anyway, mess is cleaned up and RV is neat and clean again. I took them home and ran out to store to stock up on bandages. I also picked up some rubber gloves. I did so many dishes last night and this morning, my incision is really sore and a little red. I kept having to put a dry bandage on and ran out of the really big ones. So now I will wear rubber gloves to do dishes and carry extra bandages with me to my son's house if I need them. I don't think it is infected--just irritated. Stitches come out on Monday anyway.

I'm headed back for crab dinner tonight and to enjoy my daughter-in-law's cooking and baking. Then we are going to drive around to see lights. Tomorrow morning she is making homemade beignets and we are having a Honey-Baked Ham for dinner. Kids are really excited for it to be Christmas eve!

Home everyone has a peaceful and joyous holiday!

Made it safely to Deming where I will stay put during the bad weather. Easy driving day, sunny, calm winds, and light traffic. Got here about 1 p.m. Staying in Escapees park right off I-10.

They are planning a Christmas dinner here tomorrow with ham provided and pot luck sides. I don't know if I will participate or not since I bought a pork roast to cook in my slow cooker.

Merry Christmas to all.

I'm glad you are safely parked, Liz. That's the only Escapees park I drove in and out of without staying. But I was ok with boondocking at the rest area. In this weather, probably would have stuck it out.

Merry Christmas Moon rising at Deming, NM

Yes Beth, I am paying for comfort and convenience. I had originally planned to go to a park on a ranch north of here with great views and hiking trails. But it's at the end of a 7 mile dirt road...and with snow and ice predicted I was afraid I might not get out. And probably wouldn't be hiking either. 6-8 inches of snow possible Sat.-Sun.

Totally understand, Liz. And you're seeing the wonderful moon.

I believe I'm having my first white Christmas since starting this life... at least white Christmas Eve. Kind of nice. Especially because it'll be gone pretty quickly.
