Friday rain in FL

Gmorning all :)

Refreshing, cool rain this a.m. back at my sis's farm. Was sooooo sad to leave "DnD" yesterday--and her dad too:( but we have some plans in the works for Cmas!

Ava, your problem kids are leaving you? Bet that hurts your feelings;) OSharon, maybe Doodles,or was it Rascal, was searching the toy box for Tigg? :) Martha, yes I do think you need another cat hahaha

Finishing my second cup of coffee, ready to tackle my projects here. Have been invited to join Irmi and Steve for "Liz's" chicken today. Am I the lucky one to have two great cooks feeding me?!

Y'all have a great day, be safe always 8-)

Good Morning from chilly Bloomington Il... in the twenties and will only be in the 30s today... a normal temp but we have had spring like weather up until now... no snow for Christmas in our forecast...

one of my little family seems to have a problem... not making the liter box... yesterday it was poo (still runny!) on my carpeting in my bedroom... thanks to Kathy I have the spray stuff she uses... this morning I closed my bedroom door and will leave it closed limiting the space they have... both bedrooms are closed now... have two liter boxes in my big bathroom... let hope!

I have not read other posts so do not know what is going on except for Carolb you are a welcome guest where ever you go! you wonderful ladies on the forum have held my hand in person and virtually here on the internet... thank you everyone!

Well this is all for now I may come back later and add some... have a great day remember to limit your spending and give plenty of love and caring!
Kathleen or Kathy

Use today wisely it's all you have; yesterday is a memory; tomorrow a dream... KLW[/b][/color]

Good Morning to All from a very overcast but not cold Mazatlan. When we got here there were five other big rigs here in the back portion of the RV park, but they all left this morning to go further south. So we are alone back here. Our TelCel MiFi is working great as good as or better then or Verizon one. The only problem is the limited GBs - can only buy 3GBs at a time and we both go online. Need to remember we don't have unlimited like we do at home. We did some walking and driving around Mazatlan yesterday. too nice to stay inside. Had a good breakfast right next to the ocean at the hotel across the street. Then a good lunch in an outdoor restaurant in the old part of the city. Ran into more of our friends here. Lots of hugs and smiles.
The crazy bird is back, he is flying into the window so Bill will have to either cover the window or put something over the mirror so he won't like to step on it.
Today we have friends that are here from Canada - they got in yesterday so we're going out to dinner tonight. Still have to do some rearranging and cleaning in the Alfa. Other than that no plans. We'll be here for a month at least.
Hope everyone has a great day, safe travels and dry weather.

Good Morning All, I have been enjoying all the pictures that Liz and Carol have been posting of their travels. Thanks.
As most of you know, I live one block from the baseball field. They have been blowing in snow on the little field that the kids can play on. I went to take pictures so you could see the "snow in San Diego". The battery on the camera is dead. Now, I can't find the cord to connect it to charge the battery!
You that live in snow country, probably think we are crazy using blown snow. The little kids love it tho!
My daughter arrives this afternoon to move in with me. Tomorrow the truck with her stuff arrives. Both our lives are changing drastically.

Good Morning from Medina Lake, Texas -

Lyn, you are definitely going to have some changes, but nice to know your daughter will be there if you have to have surgery. Carolb, you were so smart to go to Florida - even if you are getting rain now! Enjoy the chicken - Liz made it for us at Canyon Lake. Kathleen, glad you have new roomies but hope the messes end soon. CArol, I chuckle because you sound like me with the cleaning!

My Texas plans just got changed. The SS has a strange engine noise so I am not wanting to drive it anymore. Can't get an appointment in San Antonio until the 30th and then when they actually get to it is iffy - hate those places. Called AZ where I got it and set up an appt for January 8. I'd probably go sooner, but I have General Delivery Mail coming. Going to miss sightseeing here, but I was already thinking of coming here again next winter.

Sandi, I sent you a PM.

Hope you all have a great day and safe travels.

Just woke up from 12 hours of sleep! Had my left middle trigger finger operated on yesterday, plus they gave me three cortisone shots in my right thumb, so both were really painful. I took 1.5 Vicodin in the afternoon to control the pain, so was really tired after I ate. Went to bed at 8:00 pm. Woke up for a while in middle of night, but kept falling back to sleep. Taking only a half Vicodin now because pain being much less in thumb. Left hand is still really painful, however. I can use the fingers for typing, but not much else. Thumb should get less painful very fast, at least.

Surgeon fit me in after other surgeries. Glad to get it done but more painful than I expected. my mother had it done with two stitches, but I have four and longer incision. Ouch.

ANyway, I can still do most things, but think I will have to go braless for a while since I can't hook it. So sitting around and reading and watching TV today. Might even take a nap!! No shower for a couple more days.

Glad that you made it through the long awaited surgery part and are on the healing side. Enjoy your kicking back and your break from professor duties...

Judy glad surgery is done and hope you recover quickly.
We have 6 radiation treatments left for hubby. His neck is red but he's not in too much pain. The worst is he can't taste anything but salt and bitter. Even distilled water tastes salty to him. The radiation oncologist says its expected and should return to normal. He is still doing his blended meals even though everything tastes bad. Funny thing is he can still taste heat of peppers. He put a couple of pieces of buffalo chicken bites in his meal blended drink and had a hard time getting it down! And he usually loves spicy hot!
Need to get a small tree up maybe tomorrow then wrap gifts for the two men. Otherwise Christmas will be quiet here. Trying to decide what I can fix that he can blend and that both Chris and I will enjoy. Not our usual for sure. Mel often does steaks or prime rib but he's not up to that and would not enjoy it.
Supposed to rain all night tonight bringing another half inch or so. I'll believe it when I hear it on the roof!
Interesting show running on our PBS station this week about the mechanics of how the colosseum in Rome operated to make stuff like chariots appear in the middle of the stage. Worth watching. They used laser cameras to detect previously unknown information. Those Romans were pretty good architects!
Have a good weekend. Anita hope you get that fancy machine to work.
