Wednesday with The Diva

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Wednesday with The Diva

Postby carolb » Wed Dec 16, 2015 6:09 am

Gmorning all :)

Oh, yes, y'all need to see the Diva in person! The two were meant for each other :) I get to sit with her today while Donna takes her dad to appts. I've not tried to get "close" to The Diva, as she is really bonded (glued!) to Donna, but today that may change:) We've walked all dogs together, & they did amazingly well! The Diva is really a "good dog" & smart! Anita, you know me too well! It was difficult for me to walk away from the shelter without another one for myself

CArol, hope you had a good day yesterday with happy memories of your "best friend." Louise, such GREAT news about your brother! So I'll see you in AZ?

Just a little more yard work for me to do this a.m. Donna & her dad have been so appreciative of what I have done for them, & that's all the "reward" I desire:) By the way, I discovered a well-kept secret about Donna: she can cook!!! Move over Irmi:)

Ok, y'all have a great day, be safe always! 8-)

Good Morning Everyone, Yes, Carol, yesterday turned out to be a nice day for me, I did no cleaning as planned, too quiet around here so happened to turn on the tv and caught the best movie, "The Return of the Man called Horse". Its about a real legend of the Indians, named 3 tribes who hated him, a man from England. I enjoyed it thoroughly, Maggie and I, had several walks, didn't get that hot yesterday, in fact had my window and door open, no A/C. Of course, if I had been exerting myself, :o I would have needed air

Today really need to get into the cleaning in here. I have light colored couches around table and they need scrubbing, really noticed it yesterday. I usually don't really look at things, to clean, but that was main reason for the week here was to do the cleaning I knew it needed in here without looking. Especially after the week out in the clean white looking sand of Fl   I would rather do yard work then clean inside, Carol, its so nice all you're doing there, but yard work is good theraphy, so mentally I'm sure you're very fit :D Yes, I suspected, Donna, was a really good cook, just from her contributions to the GTG's. Maybe its a good thing you have all that exercise :D ;)

I didn't sleep that well last night, so not sure really how this day is going to go. My Maggie was up really early and she seems unsettled this morning. :(

No real news from here, not seeing , doing or experiencing anything to share, so coffee done and I need some

Have a great day everyone, Stay safe,
CArol :)

Good morning all,

Donna I am so happy to hear Diva is bonded with you already!

CArol, glad you had a good day yesterday and enjoyed good memories (and a good movie).

Louise, such wonderful news about your brother!

I got up early today; 3:30 a.m.! Could not sleep so I finally got up with DH and the pups and had my breakfast. I thought with such an early start, I'd be getting things done but no, not so much. Maybe I'll work on my little Christmas tree today.

My poor ponies are out in the rain-again! They are so muddy I feel like I'll never get that stuff off! And the pups drag it inside too, when they come in from potty breaks. My poor floor! But it's no use in trying to mop it up, they'll just bring in more. I keep old towels by the door to wipe muddy paws but it still gets inside. I think I wash about a load of dirty dog towels each day!

For those of you interested in a back up camera, I noticed Menard's has one on sale for $89 with a $20 rebate. Probably not the best camera, but I should think it would work for those of you having some trouble backing up. Might just have to go buy myself another "Christmas present"!!! :D

That's all from here
Everyone take care,
Kathy
Any day spent in the company of my animals is a good day.

Good morning gals!
Crazy weather here today! Snowed a little bit over night with temps hovering around 32*. I was woken up this morning by really loud noise on the roof, looked out and it was a downpour of sleet! Could hardly see across the yard! Then all of a sudden, a bright flash of light and "kaboom"! Lightning and thunder! Then it started snowing big wet flakes and then turned to rain!

I guess it snowed in the foothills of Los Angeles yesterday! Our huge lake is still completely open yet. Unheard of this late in the season! Supposed to be back near 50* next week for Christmas!

Yesterday was payday and I had the day off, so went Christmas shopping. Took two separate trips out to stores but finally got everything I needed. Then I was checking on-line last night on Walmart.com and saw they finally got in a tent I have been wanting for awhile now (was on backorder). So I ordered that! :D Since I no longer have the trailer, I still want to camp but the tent I got a couple years ago is too small. I love it since it is an instant tent and goes up in less than 60 seconds, but just too small. This one is larger so should be more roomy and comfortable and is also an instant tent. Now I can sell the other one. I already signed up for one camping trip in June and am planning another one in August with the group I went with last summer.

Now I am totally broke! Back to work today to earn more money!

Lola and Sophie are doing well! They really have fun together now! So fun to watch! :D

Donna, so happy to hear you found a new little friend to keep you company. Can't wait to hear more about her and see some pics!

I actually have a date tomorrow night! The guy I went to the State Fair with. We are going to see the movie "Walk In The Woods". Should be good. I never read the book but he has.

Have a great day! :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Still morning in California. Nice and sunny here, but high only about 55 today. Got an appointment with a hand orthopedic surgeon, so I will have to ride my bike. Will wear jeans and a warmer jacket than usual. I got my bike out yesterday and put air in tires, so it should be ready to go. Napa has good bike trails and paths, so it is not hard to ride, even in the busy areas.

Made pasties last night for my son's family and myself for dinner. YUM!! Youngest child had never had one, but we told her it was a hamburger wrap with potatoes and she liked it after that. Grandson had had a couple of scary allergy reactions in last few days, so he got scared and started crying about not wanting to die. He's only 10 but really scared of eating new food. Luckily, daughter-in-law's younger sister has two kids with severe food allergies, so DIL called her for advice. Grandson was diagnosed with peanut allergies a few weeks ago, but now we suspect he also has allergy to raw egg. He has doctor's appointment early next week to get fully tested.

Off to the doctor myself, so got to get ready!
