I agree a campfire would fill good. was watching a cooking show today and she should how to do banana boats...love banana boats!!! never thought though
to put those caramel bites in it..I normally put choc chips and marshmallows in it might have to try the caramel bites...
My nephew should be here tomorrow to get the trailer hope so. Just need to get stuff out of the frig before he comes and then it's mostly ready that and put the chair in it's spot...worried about having mice come and occupy it while in storage...hope not!!! that I don't want to have to deal with!
now I need to start pondering upon gifts...

Sheila, get some Bounce sheets and put a whole bunch in your trailer. Has worked for me for both my tc's for the past 6 yrs. They sit tarped up in my yard next to the hay field. I think maybe I'll put a bunch in my closets and see if that gets rid of the mice in my house!!!!

The warmer days here in Ohio have been nice though I still seem to get chilled pretty easily. Have been wearing layers forever it seems. The dogs will not enjoy today and the rain. I make them go outside and then they come back in and sit around my office/sitting room smelling like damp dogs. Imagine that. Audrey has an appointment with the vet this morning to get blood drawn to send in for some of her genetic testing. Her hips came back from OFA with an "Excellent" rating. Today we will be checking on three different issues that research has found genetic markers for, hoping of course to find that she does not carry any of the markers. Two of the tests were not even available twenty five years ago when my son and I drove to Toledo to get our first English Cocker Spaniel.

The RV is still with the shop. They admitted that since I had already winterized it and wasn't leaving to Florida until after the first of the year they had put the repairs and work on a back burner. I keep thinking of things I could use, oh wait, those are in the rig! Oh well.

Hope everyone out there can stay comfortable with whatever the weather throws their way.

I'm afraid that is what will happen the trailer is still on the rv site...and we had a massive dump of snow not sure
how many inches but lots...so pretty to look at not so pretty to sweep off the slides and walk around in to get the last of the stuff in
the 5th wheel feet are so cold remember this chick has not seen this much snow in a VERY long time and do not have the correct
stuff to wear out in it!!! but at least I had tennis shoes not flip flops on
keep hoping that my nephew will get it all worked out to get the 5th wheel where it isn't costing me money each day and now the slides are in
so the furnace can't be on hoping no freezes as well
well that is my rant for the day

Tina, it's amazing the testing they can do on animals now. We haven't registered a horse in 7 years so I haven't really kept up with the requirements. I have read articles about the color testing. It's good that the breed registries are trying to get rid of inherited problems.

Don't tell an RV place that you don't need your RV for a while. I think they put you on the back burner and forget about you. I have a problem with taking food out of the RV and not replacing it. Then when I think I have something I don't.

no the plan is cause I've never done it that Brandon is going to do it and before I had the furnace coming on if it was colder than 49 degree's but
with the slides in can't run the furnace so we will hope it's warm enough to snow so hopefully it's not going to freeze
there will be a new truck by fall

Sheila, if it's hooked up to electric, or can be, run an electric heater inside when it's cold. Open cabinet doors, too.

And why can't the furnace be run with the slides in? If that's true on some rigs, that's something else I'd have to beware of when looking at a rig.

Yes, my grades are in! Hip, hip, hurray!! I need to get next semester's class ready, but I have three weeks of not too much work to do. This is the only break we really get all year.

And, the best part of being a full-timer is never having to pack up and unpack or leave things at home. As it is, I put things away and cannot find them as it is, so I can't imagine how difficult having to pack and unpack would be.

Still chuckling about my 8-year-old granddaughter tonight. I had two boys so there is some stuff I never had to deal with. This child is creative, to say the least. She comes up with the funniest stuff, especially since her mother has taught her the correct female anatomical terms. Tonight her older brother was having a small allergic reaction, so she came up with the complaint that earlier that day she was sitting outside and her "V" got frozen but then it was OK after it warmed up!!! Her dad was in the background with his hand over his forehead in a "drama-queen" gesture, and I had to turn away so I could stop from laughing out loud.

I think boys were easier.

Judy your granddaughter sounds like a lot of fun with a mind like that. I am not sure that either a boy or girl are easier. With my daughter, I at least had some sense of encouraging a strong, creative, independent, caring, adventurous, intelligent person and what that might look like. Face it, I had been/ and still am trying to create that for myself. But then trying to encourage those same traits in a boy, some of which may go against some more "traditional" macho expectations seemed more frought with potential pitfalls. And as important as his own character, I wanted him to recognize those traits in the women in his life and have him appreciate the potential for equality of all peoples.

I will have to say that he figured it out all rather well.

when the slides are in they cover the heating vents (floor) the only vent not covered is the one in the bedroom so assume that the furnace can't be ran ...when I closed it up yesterday thought it was going to be picked up later in the afternoon so wasn't overly worried just wanted everything put away so when they came if it was dark all was tucked away and just had to hook up...needless to say it's still there and it's suppose to get very cold tonight ...my middle name right now is frustrated and determine that this won't happen next year...perhaps I'll leave for @ in Sept at least I won't have to worry about cold!!!

Sheila, sorry you are having this problem. I would be frustrated also.

I agree with Beth that this is something that we need to look at when we buy an RV. And I have NEVER seen anyone warn about this, so I would add it to my list of "Who would have thought???" sneaky things to look for. We should make a list somehow.

I agree, Judy, we should make up a list for all the things that we wouldn't normally think to ask/look for in an RV. Why don't you start one and anyone else who thinks of things can add on?
