Birdie, Anita, and I toured Bandera, TX today. Fun little cowboy town.

Did you not stick your head in the 11th Street Bar?

Nice tour.

Bandera is a fun town. We had a GTG there a couple of years ago. I think it was at the 11 Street Bar where one night a week you can bring your own meat to cook and they sell a set up of a baked potato and salad and all the fixings. There was a band the night we were there. If you need some cowboy boots there are good bargains to be found at the thrift store. Good memories.

Neat post Liz. Adding Bandera to my list of 'want-to-see'.

Maybe I should bring my Western trainer saddle to the bar so they can have a spare. Need to sell / donate it anyway. :(

Very interesting , those 3 cowboys riding down the road, made your story about the town. Know telling how many people you have enticed by this blog to visit that town. :D I love your item you took home from the shops, prefect !!

Another really great post, I enjoyed so much, almost like being there,
Thanks,
CArol :)

Looks like a fun place to visit. I liked the part about John Wayne. He's a distant cousin of mine. I enjoy visiting places he was at like where he stayed while filming in Monument Valley.

Can't believe you guys missed the 11th street bar. The decor is "interesting" and on weekends you'll see motorcycles lines up in front right next to the horses tied up to the hitchiing rail. What a hoot. This is where I found Mitch's cowboy for her.
