Saturday & Spring Like Temps

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Saturday & Spring Like Temps

Mornin' ladies ~~~

Popping in for a quick 'how are you?'. I've been crazy busy at work, but have been lurking. Nice to see some GTG's going on, but sad to hear some of the puppers have coughs.

Dad's in Florida for the winter, so one less thing to deal with there, and Mom is doing better and driving, but I think she's definitely in cranky mode now because of the left over shingle tingles.

May start doing some telecommuting for work. We don't really have a policy for it, but we are allowed to work remotely. The diff is remote is not on any schedule, but seems my department does do a lot. It's all up to the boss. May adopt another pup, 2 years old Schnauzer, but I haven't heard anything back yet, which would be the trigger for me to work from home.

Hope everyone stays well and stay safe on the roads.
Cheryl

Good morning ladies, we were suppose to get rain all night but I think it came and went because the ground is barely wet. It will make raking the yard a little easier with no dust kicking up.
Today's agenda, I have a lot to do in prep for a visit from my cousin after Christmas. Turns out I have other relatives living here in phoenix and she is coming to visit them. It would be her neice, and she wants to meet my children and family. Son is going to come over and help me get things spiffied up. Will run to home depot today to buy some painters tape and start taping stuff off for painting. Ànd of course there is laundry and dishes.
Other than that, life is as usual for the time being, one more week of work and then off for two. I'm due a much longer break but that will come in one more year. :D
Planning on a visit to the retirement office to make plans and see if the numbers are going to line up the way I want. The state claims we are getting our back money they owe all the school districts, its suppose to go to back wages, payroll and building repairs , busses and stuff like that. We (coworkers) are hoping for some good increases to make up for the loss in our step increases we didn't get over the last ten years.
Ok, now I'm even boring myself, so y'all have a good day, be safe and be healthy.

Good morning to all - for some reason the night time temperatures didn't drop last night - and we had our little heater on. So almost to nice and cozy in here this morning. It is a little cloudy this morning and more humid. But only supposed to get into the high 70s during the day with 10% chance of rain. Don't think we'll see any. Picked up some delicious pastries in the Market yesterday. Help yourselves. Also fresh pot of coffee..
We've been keeping busy - but slowly. So nice not to have to do anything to "get it done." Seems like for six months there we were under pressure to get so much done, what with the move, new house, surgery etc. etc.
Now we can sit and watch the clouds roll by. Both of us are feeling so much better. And looking forward to traveling again.
Our new Mexican Internet MiFi works like a charm and it is pretty fast. When we bought it we got 3GBs of data and when it runs out we just have to go to a grocery or convenience store to add more.
Every one on the road take care.

Good morning all! Supposed to have another warm day today, this is so weird! Not that I'm complaining although I overheard a couple of guys at the store yesterday complaining about no snow to plow. Guess what's good has a downside if it's your pocketbook. Had a nice evening last night with my "other son" and his wife. They are here for a few days visiting his daughter and her twin girls. I made his favorite gnocci dinner. There were no leftovers so I think he enjoyed it! Sure glad I made extra last time I made them and froze them. Sure made it easy to grab them out of the freezer and cook them! It's always nice to cook for someone who enjoys the meal! All and all it was a nice time catching up with them and what's going on in their world! My older dog was beside himself when he saw him. And Rascal made up to them right away, he's usually a bit standoffish with men when they come to the house. Maybe it's cause they have a doodle too!

Cheryl, sure will be nice if you can work from home. And hope the pup adoption works out for you! Ava, glad you have some time off. Boy, sure would be a great if you and your coworkers get some of that money coming into your district. A nice Christmas present! I laughed about your rain, it must have rained here last night cause I have a couple of puddles out back. I had no idea we were supposed to get rain! Haven't watched the news the last couple of days so missed that one!

Carolb, hope you and Donna had fun hitting the yard sales yesterday and hope pup's cough is better. Glad you are having fun in FL! And Liz, as usual, enjoyed your photos! The bobcat was definatly a plus! And Beth, hope you stay warm and enjoy your downtime!

Well, time to get going here. Not sure what I'm going to do today but am sure I'll find something to keep me busy!! Hope everyone enjoys their day. Travel safe!

Did not make it all the way to Napa last night because of a communication error with lady at campground--hers. not mine. She somehow keeps writing my phone number down wrong and sent me an email which I did not receive until last night. However, talkd to son and am on my way over there anyway. He is heading to campground to talk to camp hosts as I know fairgrounds lady will not be in her office on Saturday. If they don't have a place for me will stay in kids very small, steep driveway for one night. Got a reservation for EXPO campground tomorrow night and for next three weeks. Expensive place but convenient and very nice. Only problem is that being Napa, it is full every weekend, all year round.

So, I am off to see my son and grandkids!! Daughter-in-law went to baby shower so will be gone all day because it is out of town.

Morning everyone. Been a drizzly week off and on, not enough to solve the drought, but enough for some fog some mornings. Friday Mel completed day 19 of 30 of radiation. He is having some side effects with a rash on his neck and back, for which we got RX strength cortisone. Also having trouble clearing his airway and the resident suggested Mucinex, which I had not thought of. Hope it works. I guess all my research in supplements has helped because he does not have mouth sores and so far is eating his blended diet and not losing weight. Be so glad when this is over and he can begin healing.
Amazon and I have gotten most of the shopping done, now to wrap. Hopefully I can get the area for a tree ready today as I'd like to get it up earlier this year than last!
Have a good weekend all.

Some hired help got a lot done today ahead of the storm which is forecast to arrive late tomorrow - gutters cleaned on 3 of the 4 houses and a lot of the leaves up around my house. Still enough leaves on oak trees that some of the work will have to be repeated at least one more time this year.
I did a little shopping today. Got two Christmas presents and wrapped them. Filled the van with gas at SAMs for $1.73 gal, a price I never expected to see again. Then two grrr trips to two Wal- Marts without finding but one (batteries) of the three items I wanted followed by stops at two grocery stores. Who would have thought it might be so hard to find plain up popped popcorn?
Weather still unusually warm so I decided to go to the little park not far from house where luminaries and caroling for the evening. No place to park, police were there waving people by as the small lot was full. Did at least get to enjoy seeing some of the decorated houses around me. I'm a sucker for Christmas lights. The warm weather has fooled some of the plants. Saw a couple of spring blooming trees already blooming and noticed my buttercups have sprouted. Winter will likely get them by next weekend.

A late post here...just getting caught up on MC.

I'm finding mice too. Catnip mice that is, in the toilet. Frosty is the only one that plays with the mice and I guess he thinks they need a bath.

Sophie puts her catnip mice in her water dish. They must taste better wet?

Not much new here. Getting busy at work now for Christmas haircuts. Weather has been staying warm in the low 40's but is going to start heading downward starting tomorrow. Possible snow showers this week but not much expected. Hard to believe it is the middle of December! Grass is green and the lakes are still open too. No one here is complaining (other than those with snowmobiles and snowplows).

Have a good rest of the weekend where ever you are!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Barbie, I find Frosty's mice in the water bowl sometimes too. He has a fascination with the toilet flushing. Sometimes when the toilet flushes the bathtub drain makes a noise. Frosty goes to one or the other. I wish I could make something pop up out of the bathtub drain. That would make his day. lol

It has been very windy today. The storm in Texas should be here by noon tomorrow. There are pictures on Facebook where a tornado tore up some RVs. I don't know if it was in a campground but it said no one was injured. I hope we don't have any tornados.
